Hydrogel platform with tunable stiffness based on magnetic nanoparticles cross-linked GelMA for cartilage regeneration and its intrinsic biomechanism

Cartilage injury affects numerous individuals,but the efficient repair of damaged cartilage is still a problem in clinic.Hydrogel is a potent scaffold candidate for tissue regeneration,but it remains a big challenge to improve its mechanical property and figure out the interaction of chondrocytes and stiffness.Herein,a novel hybrid hydrogel with tunable stiffness was fabricated based on methacrylated gelatin(GelMA)and iron oxide nanoparticles(Fe_(2)O_(3))through chemical bonding.The stiffness of Fe_(2)O_(3)/GelMA hybrid hydrogel was controlled by adjusting the concentration of magnetic nanoparticles.The hydrogel platform with tunable stiffness modulated its cellular properties including cell morphology,microfilaments and Young’s modulus of chondrocytes.Interestingly,Fe_(2)O_(3)/GelMA hybrid hydrogel promoted oxidative phosphorylation of mitochondria and facilitated catabolism of lipids in chondrocytes.As a result,more ATP and metabolic materials generated for cellular physiological activities and organelle component replacements in hybrid hydrogel group compared to pure GelMA hydrogel.Furthermore,implantation of Fe_(2)O_(3)/GelMA hybrid hydrogel in the cartilage defect rat model verified its remodeling potential.This study provides a deep understanding of the bio-mechanism of Fe_(2)O_(3)/GelMA hybrid hydrogel interaction with chondrocytes and indicates the hydrogel platform for further application in tissue engineering.

Based on laser induced breakdown spectroscopy（LIBS） technique, the content of the main elements in the liquid steel of carbon steel alloy can be detected in real time during melting process. In order to detect the liquid alloy steel and forecast the content of the main elements in the alloy steel more accurately, we use the method of sparse autoencoder to reduce noise in the spectral data which were collected in the detecting process. The experimental results show that the sparse autoencoder method can effectively improve the accuracy and precision of the spectral data.

The Impact of Key Factors on Flow Characteristics of 14 MW Reverse-Swirl Pulverized Coal Burner

Reverse-swirl(RS)burner which has been industrialized couples reverses jet and swirl flow for the stabilization of flame.Using Dantec multichannel constant-temperature anemometer,experiments on airflow characteristics were implemented on a 1:2 scaled burner model with different values in terms of reverse primary air(RPA)ratio and swirl inner secondary air(SISA)ratio.It was found that the shape of annular coupled recirculation zone(ACRZ)had stayed symmetrical all the time.The RPA ratio was the main factor that had an impact on the values of axial and RMS velocity as well as the radial velocity direction of ACRZ.Both RPA ratio and SISA ratio had a great impact on the area of ACRZ,relative reverse flow rate,mixing between SISA and outer secondary air(OSA)as well as swirling ability of the airflow.The area of ACRZ reached its peak when the RPA ratio was 11.92%or SISA ratio was 17.03%;however,when the RPA ratio and SISA ratio reached 14.86%and 28.41%respectively,the combination of RPA and SISA became relatively favorable;besides,ACRZ area,relative reverse flow and swirling ability became suitable and the mixing between SISA and OSA was relatively delayed.The research was of great practical and theoretical importance to the design and operation of RS burner.

Numerical Simulation of Droplets Interacting with a Microcolumnar Solid Structure

The VOF method is used to simulate the dynamics of a droplet interacting with a structure consisting of an array of microcolumns mounted on a flat surface.Such a specific configuration is intended to mimic the typical properties of lotus leaves,which typically display regularly arranged micron-scale papillary structures.After setting the initial velocity of the simulated droplet on the basis of practical considerations,an analysis is conducted about the effect of the characteristic size of the microstructure on the apparent contact angle.The pressure variation in the microstructure caves is also examined.The simulation results show that the change of the contact angle of the droplet in the quasi-static state is consistent with theoretical calculations and the contact angle in the dynamic state is smaller than that in the quasi-static state.Moreover,under dynamic conditions,the pressure fluctuation in the microstructure cave depends essentially on the characteristic size of the microstructure.

目的比较能谱CT虚拟平扫图像(VU)、水基图(WB)及常规平扫(CU)对腮腺肿瘤的检出及显示,探讨能谱CT虚拟平扫替代常规平扫诊断腮腺肿瘤的可行性。资料与方法回顾性分析行能谱CT平扫加增强扫描的45例腮腺肿瘤患者的资料,均进行能谱扫描,重建VU及WB图像。测量3组图像各部位的CT值及皮下脂肪噪声,计算腮腺病灶的对比噪声比(CNR),进行主观评分,并记录有效辐射剂量(ED),比较不同图像间主观评分、病灶清晰度显示评分、腮腺肿瘤病灶的CNR及常规平扫加双期增强扫描图像与双期直接增强扫描的ED。结果 CU与VU图像间肌肉、淋巴结的CT值及腮腺肿瘤的相对强化差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。VU图像噪声高于CU,差异有统计学意义(P=0.005)。WB图像的CNR高于VU图像,VU图像的CNR高于CU图像,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。CU与VU的图像质量评分、病灶清晰度评分差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05),均高于WB图像(P均<0.01)。常规平扫加双期增强扫描图像和双期直接增强扫描的ED分别为(3.96±0.14)mSV、(2.49±0.11)mSV,ED降低33.31%(1.47/3.96)。结论能谱CT虚拟平扫可以为腮腺肿瘤的诊断提供一个可靠的CT基线值,替代常规CT平扫后可明显降低辐射剂量。

为实现高效配置各种阶段性分析报表或文档,研发一种基于算法库的自定义报表系统。自定义报表系统采用B/S模式,用户界面使用MiniuI前端集成框架,利用HTML+CSS+JavaScript语言技术,服务端以Tomcat为基础,采用Java技术构建服务器应用程序,通过Spring框架程序实现与数据库通信,同时扩展一个开源的Web编辑器CKEditor,在此基础上实现算法模板、方法属性、参数设置、站群管理等插件,开发出模板设计器;数据实现通过构建算法库,基于实时库和特征值库表结构创建上百种统计分析函数,存储在数据库中。用户通过模板设计器设计好表格或文档模板,数据通过调用算法库函数获取,报表配置好后根据查询参数一键生成导出Word,PDF,Excel格式文件,大大提高服务效率。

Influence of Wellbore Trajectory on Pressure Drop and Fluid Discharge

An experimental analysis has been conducted to study the process of fluid accumulation for different borehole trajectories.More specifically,five heel angles have been experimentally realized to simulate the borehole trajectory of the sloping section of the formation.The fluid-carrying capacity,pressure drop and fluid discharge volatility have been investigated for these conditions and,accordingly,the relationship between heel angle and wellbore pressure drop fluid-carrying capacity has been determined.The results show that while the reasonable roll angle can increase the pressure loss in the wellbore,it is beneficial to drainage.In terms of pressure loss and liquid-carrying capacity,when the heeling angle is 50°,the latter is increased while the former becomes very high,which indicates that when drilling and completing wells on site,a 50°roll angle should be avoided.It is found that the main reason for the increase of the total pressure drop in the wellbore is the increase of the local pressure loss in the inclined section.From the perspective of drainage stability,when there is heeling in the inclined section of the horizontal well,the fluctuation of the wellbore drainage tends to be enhanced.Through the comparison of the Beggs-Brill(B-B)and Mukherjee-Brill liquid holdup methods,it is found that B-B method better predicts liquid holdup.A new method for calculating the pressure drop in the inclined section in the presence of lateral inclination is obtained by taking into account the pressure drop in the curved section.Through comparison with experimental data,it is found that the error is within 20%,and the prediction accuracy is high.

Two-dimensional Modeling of the Tearing-mode-governed Magnetic Reconnection in the Large-scale Current Sheet above the Two-ribbon Flare

We attempt to model magnetic reconnection during the two-ribbon flare in a gravitationally stratified solar atmosphere with the Lundquist number of S=10~6 using 2 D simulations.We found that the tearing mode instability leads to inhomogeneous turbulence inside the reconnecting current sheet(CS)and invokes the fast phase of reconnection.Fast reconnection brings an extra dissipation of magnetic field which enhances the reconnection rate in an apparent way.The energy spectrum in the CS shows a power law pattern and the dynamics of plasmoids govern the associated spectral index.We noticed that the energy dissipation occurs at a scale l_(ko)of 100-200 km,and the associated CS thickness ranges from 1500 to 2500 km,which follows the Taylor scale l_(T)=l_(ko)S_(1/6).The termination shock(TS)appears in the turbulent region above flare loops,which is an important contributor to heating flare loops.Substantial magnetic energy is converted into both kinetic and thermal energies via TS,and the cumulative heating rate is greater than the rate of the kinetic energy transfer.In addition,the turbulence is somehow amplified by TS,in which the amplitude is related to the local geometry of the TS.

Establishment and verification of a model for the movement of pulverized sweet sorghum stalks in a rotary drum bioreactor by discrete element method

The mixing of raw materials in a rotary drum bioreactor is important for advanced solid-state fermentation technology.However,the shape,size,and other properties of pulverized sweet sorghum stalk particles are more complicated than those of the spherical particles.In this study,a soft rod-shaped discrete particle model was established and verified to simulate the mixing behavior of sweet sorghum stalk particles in a rotary drum bioreactor.We were inspired by the particle shape and established a rod-shaped particle model by investigating the influence of the shape(length-diameter ratio)and size(diameter)on the particle packing(stack height and bed porosity).We used orthogonal simulations and extremum difference analysis to determine the main factors,optimum level,and groups of other parameters.Based on calibrated parameters,twelve sets of simulations of radial mixing in the drum were performed,and the results were compared with experiments conducted under identical operating conditions.The average relative error between the simulation and the experiment was 10.95%,which indicates that they agreed well and that the simulation could predict the mixing process well.
