Co-occurrence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and their composite impacts on microbial consortium in soil: A field study

This is the first study to report the co-occurrence of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs),heavy metals,and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and their impacts on the native microbial consortium in soil due to the long-term *** PFASs,heavy metals,and PAHs were detected in soil samples collected at 2–6 m below the ground surface at different sampling locations in a steel-making *** total concentrations of PFASs varied from 6.55 to 19.79 ng g^(-1),with perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS),perfluorobutane sulfonate,and 6:2 chlorinated polyfluorinated ether sulfonate(alternative of PFOS)being the predominant *** concentrations of arsenic,cadmium,and lead were detected in the ranges of 4.40–1270.00,0.01–8.67,and 18.00–647.00 mg kg^(-1),respectively,and the concentration of total PAHs was detected in the range of 1.02–131.60 mg kg^(-1).The long-term exposure to mixed contaminants of PFASs,heavy metals,and PAHs led to lower richness and diversity of microbial communities in *** soil bacterial communities were mainly composed of Pseudomonas,norank_p_GAL15,Leptothrix,norank_o_Rokubacteriales,and *** between soil environmental factors and microbial communities indicated that cation exchange capacity and total phosphorus were two key factors in shaping the composition of native microbial ***,Arthrobacter,Leptothrix,and Sphingobium were found to be significantly positively correlated with PFAS concentrations,indicating that these genera could tolerate the stress exerted by PFASs,along with the stress imposed due to the presence of heavy metals or/and PAHs.

针对液滴在微结构表面上的润湿行为及各向异性浸润行为,采用格子玻尔兹曼方法模拟研究了沟槽表面尺寸、液滴尺寸及重力场对液滴动力学行为的影响.结果表明,垂直接触角大于平行接触角,且与肋板宽度成反比,随沟槽宽度的增加先增大后减小,平行接触角则与沟槽表面尺寸无关.液滴半径、液滴接触角和壁面固体分数相互关联,且壁面固体分数、液滴半径和重力系数与液滴变形比成正相关关系.液滴沿垂直沟槽方向上的铺展运动具有较大的能量壁垒,呈现各向异性浸润行为.液滴半径的增大和重力场的增强均可削弱液滴的各向异性浸润行为,并可通过改变壁面固体分数达到改变液滴状态的目的.

U-Pb zircon ages and petrogeochemistry and tectonic implications of gabbro and granite in southwest Lahad Datu area of Sabah, Malaysia

The southwest Lahad Datu felsic rocks were previously thought to have formed in the late Triassic as part of the microcontinental crystalline *** on U-Pb ages,geochemistry,and the Hfisotopes of zircon from the southeastern Sabah gabbro and granite,in this study,the tectonic properties of the Sabah area during the Triassic were *** weighted average U-Pb zircon ages of the gabbro and granite samples were determined to be(230.9±2.5)Ma and(207.1±3.3)Ma,*** granite had SiO_(2) contents of 66.54%-79.47%,low TiO_(2) contents of 0.08%-0.3%,Al_(2)O_(3) contents of 10.97%-16.22%,Na_(2)O contents of 5.91 %-6.39%,and low K_(2)O contents of 0.15%-0.65%.The chondrite-normalized rare earth element(REE) patterns exhibit light REE enrichment,with right-sloping *** primitive mantle-normalized trace element spider diagrams exhibit Th,U,La,Sr,and Zr enrichment and Nb,Ta,P and Ti depletions,i.e.,the geochemical characteristics of typical island arc igneous *** tectonic discriminant diagram indicates that the granite is a volcanic arc *** Hf isotopic an alysis of gabbro zircon revealed that the zircons have ε_(Hf)(t)values of 12.08-16.24(mean of 14.32) and two-stage model ages(t_(DM2)) of 223-491 Ma(mean of 347 Ma).This indicates that the diagenetic magma of the gabbro was mainly derived from melting of newly formed crustal *** ophiolite in southeast Sabah has existed since the early Late *** crystalline basement granite in southeastern S abah was emplaced lasted from late Triassic to early *** on previous studies and global plate reconstruction models,it is speculated that the southeastern Sabah granite may have been formed in an island arc setting,i.e.,where the oceanic crust of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean collided with the oceanic crust of the Panthalassa Ocean.

Ultrasensitive monitoring of ribozyme cleavage product using molecular-beacon-ligation system

This paper reports a new approach to detect ribozyme cleavage product based on the molecular-beacon-ligation system. The molecular beacon, designed in such a way that one-half of its loop is complementary to ribozyme cleavage product, is used to monitor ligation process of RNA/DNA com-plex in a homogeneous solution and to convert directly cleavage product information into fluorescence signal. The method need not label ribozyme and ribozyme substrate, which is fast, simple and ultra-sensitive for detection of cleavage product. Detection limit of the assay is 0.05 nmol/L. The cleavage product of hammerhead ribozyme against hepatitis C virus RNA (HCV-RNA) was detected perfectly based on this assay. Owing to its ultrasensitivity, excellent specificity, convenience and fidelity, this method might hold out great promise in ribozyme reaction and ribozyme gene therapy.

CeO_(2)-based catalysts are widely investigated for selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO with *** of NO/O_(2) with CeO_(2) generally produces two surface species,i.e.,nitrates and ***,the explicit quantification of these two species is still ***,we reported that spectrophotometry characterization was effective in determining surface adsorbed NOx species on CeO_(2) by measuring the corresponding ions(NO_(2)-and NO_(3)^(-))dissolved in aqueous *** results show that both nitrate(-NO_(3))and nitrite(-NO_(2))species can be quantitatively evaluated and the accuracy is verified by calibrating with NOx-TPD *** transfer of adsorbed NOx from catalyst surface to aqueous solution is confirmed and the dissolution process can be accelerated by ultrasonic ***,useful information related to evolution of surface NOx species under various conditions(O_(2) treatment,different adsorption temperature and duration)and over different catalysts(Fe_(2)O_(3),MnO_(2) and MnOx—CeO_(2))are *** result of present study demonstrates the potential of spectrophotometry for quantitative discrimination of surface NOx species on CeO_(2) and other oxide-based materials,which is conducive to mechanism analysis of SCR reaction.

The Neural Mechanisms of Utility and Ethic in the Management Moral Decision Making

The study aimed at investigating the neural mechanism of business moral decision-making. 15 participants were presented with a set of 96 dilemmas in business situation. Participants were required to decide between option 1 (more utilitarian decision for self benefit) and 2 (ethical decision for fairness or institution). ERPs were recorded to a slide displaying the letter 1 and 2 when subjects were deciding between options. The selection rate was calculated after the experiment as the behavior data. The business moral dilemmas prompted more ethical option. A larger P260 component was elicited in the left frontal lobe area when participants were deciding to act ethically. On the other hand, decisions on utilitarian aroused weaker emotional experience, as supported by the shorter LPC and smaller P260 amplitude.

Real time monitoring of nucleic acids ligation based on molecular beacon

A novel method has been developed to monitor the nucleic acids ligation process. Molecular beacon was employed here to convert the ligation information into fluo-rescence signal quickly and quantitatively. This method pro-vides effective and original approach to researching the dy-namic ligation process and the interactions between nucleic acids and ligase. An analytical method for T4 DNA ligase based on this way has been built up with a linear detection range from 2.3×10-4 U/mL to 0.23 U/mL. It is rapid and sensitive to detect 2.8×10-5 U T4 DNA ligase in 10 min.

随着人民生活水平的日益提高,汽车保有量逐渐增大。现居住区地下车库车位配比数较大,地下车库非车位空间有限,而居住建筑地下车库轴网尺寸小,结构柱截面尺寸较小,相邻车位间的距离较小,消火栓的布置受到较多限制。而居住建筑地下车库车位的产权,大多归业主所有,消火栓包括开启时进入车位线内被视为侵权行为,业主投诉事件频发。为解决居住区地下车库消火栓布置问题,通过对已实施工程的调研,总结出现有消火栓的布置方式及问题,并对相关专业规范的研究及现有工程存在的问题进行反思,提出可行的消火栓布置方式,用以指导居住区地下车库消火栓设计。

Lactobacillus from fermented bamboo shoots prevents inflammation in DSS-induced colitis mice via modulating gut microbiome and serum metabolites

Fermented bamboo shoots(FBS)is a region-specific food widely consumed in Southwestern China,with Lactobacillus as the predominant fermenting ***,the probiotic potential of Lactobacillus derived from FBS reminds largely unexplored,especially for diseases with a low prevalence in areas consuming FBS,namely,inflammatory bowel *** this study,Lactiplantibacillus pentosus YQ001 and Lentilactobacillus senioris YQ005 were screening by in vitro probiotic tests to further investigate the probioticlike bioactivity in dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis(UC)*** exhibited more positive probiotic effects than Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG in preventing intestinal inflammatory *** results revealed that both strains improved the abundance of deficient intestinal microbiota in UC mice,including Muribaculaceae and *** the serum metabolome,they modulated the DSS-disturbed levels of metabolites,with significant increment of cinnamic ***,they reduced the expression levels of interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6)inflammatory factors and increased zonula occludens-1(ZO-1),Occludin,and cathelicidin-related antimicrobial peptide(CRAMP)in the ***,these results demonstrated that Lactobacillus *** derived from FBS showed promising probiotic activity based on the gut microbiome homeostasis modulation,anti-inflammation and intestinal barrier protection in UC mice.
