Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding inhigh-frequency range, especially the rapidly growing terahertz(THz) frequency range, attracts increasing attention due tothe potential application of terahertz in 6G wirelesscommunication, and security inspection. However, traditionalconductive EMI films typically achieve high shieldingeffectiveness through strong reflection, which may causesecondary pollution to other devices. Here, a gradientstructure strategy was proposed to constructTi_(3)C_(2)Tx/hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) film, in whichthe content of Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx gradually increases along the thicknessdirection, resulting in different conductivity of the two surfaces(surface-M and surface-H) for the film. The obtained gradientfilmexhibits an EMI shielding efficiency of over 48.5 dB in theTHz range (0.2-1.6 THz) at a thickness of 40 μm. Especially,as the THz waves incident from the surface-H to the film, the absorption effectiveness reaches 48.2 dB (average absorbedpower loss up to 91.4%), and the reflection effectiveness is only 0.3 dB. In additions, the gradient-film also demonstrates ahigh absorption rate of 95.5% in the infrared band (2.5-16.7 μm). Moreover, the gradient-film exhibits an excellent tensilestress and Young’s modulus value of 173.1 MPa and 2.8 GPa, respectively. Therefore, the gradient-film proposed in thiswork, with excellent electromagnetic absorption in both THz and infrared band, provides a promising candidate for the nextgenerationEMI shielding applications.

Interactions between the light-harvesting subunits and the non-covalently bound photopigments attribute considerably to the spectral properties of photosynthetic bacteria light-harvesting complexes. In our previous studies, we have constructed a novel Rhodobacter sphaeroides expression system. In the present study, we focus on the spectral properties of LH2 when heterologously express LH2 with β-subunit- GFP fusion protein in Rb. sphaeroides. Near infra-red spectrum of LH2 remained nearly unchanged as measured by spectroscopy. Fluorescence spectrum suggested that the LH2 with β-subunit-GFP fusion protein complexes still possessed normal activity in energy transfer. However, photopigments contents were significantly decreased to a very low level in the LH2 with β-subunit-GFP fusion protein complexes compared to that of LH2. FT-IR spectra indicated that interactions between photopigments and LH2 α/β- subunits appeared not to be changed. It was concluded that the LH2 spectral properties exhibited very similar even when heterologously expressed LH2 b-subunit fusion protein in Rb. sphaeroides. Our present study may supply a new insight into better understand the interactions between light-harvesting subunits and photopigments and bacterial photosynthesis and promote the development of the novel Rb. sphaeroides expression system.

Experimental and Molecular Simulations for Evaluating the Effect of Lubricity Improvers on the Property of Jet Fuel

Since the 1990 s, the kerosene fuel(code: JP-8) had been applied in the ground equipment provided with direct injection compression ignition engines in the U.S. Army, resulting in increased occurrence of injection pump failures. Anti-wear additives must be used in the single fuel due to its poor lubricity. In the present work, lubricity improvers were selected on the basis of molecular simulation theoretically and these agents were evaluated to improve the lubricity of jet fuel using the high frequency reciprocating rig(HFRR) apparatus and the ball-on-cylinder lubricity evaluator(BOCLE). It was revealed that dimer acid with higher value of adsorption energy on the Fe(110) plane surface had more efficient lubricity promoting properties than that of naphthenic acid. The experimental results suggested that the dimer acid had a better tribological behavior compared with that of naphthenic acid used as lubricity improver of jet fuel. And addition of anti-wear additives at a dosage of 15 μg/g was able to promote the lubricity of jet fuel to a required level on BOCLE, while a higher concentration over 80 μg/g was needed to improve the lubricity to a demanded value of diesel on HFRR.

Rare earth effect on the microstructure and tribological properties of FeNiCr coatings

FeNiCr alloys with various amounts of La2O3 powders were thermally sprayed onto steel *** probe microscopy analysis （EPMA）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）,and an Optimol SRV oscillating friction and wear tester in a ball-on-disc contact configuration were employed to investigate the properties of the sprayed *** results show that rare earth can refine the microstructure effectively and make the element distribution uniform,which leads to the improvement in the properties of the ***,the wear rate of the FeNiCr alloy with 1.5% La2O3 is smaller than those of the other ***,the rare earth can reduce the friction coefficient and act as a self-lubricant in the oxide debris layer formed on the worn surface in *** wear mechanism of the coatings is oxidation wear,and a large amount of counterpart material is transferred to the coatings.

Cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS)-restorer system is a useful tool to exploit heterosis in *** major restorer gene for the M-type CMS is known as Rf-m,located in the 162.4-kb region on chromosome *** analysis has revealed that the Rf-m locus in Glycine max consists of seven penta tricopeptide repeat(GmPPR)*** deduced amino acid sequences contain 8 to 14 PPR motifs,and a phylogenetic analysis grouped these GmPPR proteins into two PPR subfamilies:Glyma.16G161800 belongs to the PLS subfamily,and the P subfamily *** Glyma.16G161900,Glyma 16G162000,Glyma.16G162100,Glyma.16G162700,Glyma.16G162800,and Gly-ma *** phylogenetic analysis of seven GmPPR proteins and 27 other plant PPR proteins also showed that proteins in the same subfamilies cluster *** sequence analysis was conducted using the seven Rf-m candidate GmPPR genes from the sterile line W931A,the maintainer line W931B,and the restorer line WR016,the result showed that Glyma 16G161900 had higher polymorphism than the other candidate *** on real-time quantitative RT-PCR data,all seven GmPPR genes were differentially expressed but showed constitutive expression in roots,stems,leaves,and pollen ***,the expression level of Gly-ma 16G161900 in the sterile line W931 A was significantly higher in all tissues than in the restorer line *** together,these results suggest that Glyma 16G161900 is the most likely candidate for the restorer gene *** study is the first report and analysis of candidate fertility restorer(Rf)genes encoding PPR proteins in soybean.

Swordtip squid(Uroteuthis edulis)is one of the important economical fishing target species in the East China *** edulis is characterized by rapid growth,extensive migration,and long spawning period and sensitive to surrounding *** order to assess its stock status,it is necessary to explore its spawning season,growth patterns of different populations and their relationship with the environment in *** this paper,based on the samples of *** collected in the East China Sea from September 2017 to March 2018,we explored the relationships between daily growth of statolith microstructure and environmental variables by gradient forest method and generalized additive *** spawning season of *** was found to be nearly one year,and two dominant season groups were found:the spring group with the peak period of April and the summer group with the peak period of *** temperature in the depth of 25 m(Temp_25),sea surface temperature(SST)and zonal velocity were the key environmental variables for the daily growth of April-spawning *** most suitable environmental conditions for the growth of April-spawning group were water temperature(24-27℃)and velocity(0.1-0.3 m/s).SST,Temp_25 and mixed layer depth were the key environment variables for the daily growth of August-spawning *** most suitable environmental conditions for the growth of Augustspawning group were water temperature(21-28℃)and water depth(0-50 m).Key environmental variables of different groups suggested that early growth was significantly affected by seasonal changes of water temperature,current velocity and prey *** study explored the relationships between early growth and environmental variables and provided the scientific guidance for the management and conservation of ***.

A series of cerium phosphate catalysts with different crystal phases were synthesized by hydrothermal method and co-precipitation *** cerium phosphate(CePO_(4)-H)shows better NH_(3)-SCR denitration activity than monoclinic cerium phosphate(CePO_(4)-M)and mixed phases of CePO_(4)-H and CePO_(4)-***,CePO_(4)-H also exhibits excellent activity stability with stream time and cycling *** characterizations were carried out to explain the effects of different crystal phases of CePO_(4)on the *** these catalysts,CePO_(4)-H has much stronger surface acidity that is conducive to the adsorption and activation of NH_(3),and more surface adsorbed oxygen species that can effectively improve SCR *** situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)were performed to investigate the adsorption and reaction of NH_(3)and NO_(x)on CePO_(4)-H and CePO_(4)-M,and the results suggest that the better activity over CePO_(4)-H follows mainly the Eley-Rideal mechanism in the activity temperature window(300-500℃)with 100%NO conversion.
