High-Performanceα-Diimine Nickel Complexes for Facile Access of PE Elastomers with Exceptional Material Properties

For practicable elastomeric polyethylene,achieving high catalyst thermal stability and activity,along with precise control of polymer properties such as branching density,molecular weights,and distribution,is crucial but *** this study,two sets of symmetricalα-diimine nickel complexes,each comprising four nickel bromide or chloride complexes,were synthesized and investigated their performance for ethylene polymerization under various reaction *** activation with either Et2AlCl or MMAO cocatalysts,these complexes displayed not only high activity but also generated high molecular weight polyethylenes with controlled polydispersity and a substantial number of *** catalyst with the least steric hindrance displayed the remarkable high activity(up to 1.2×10^(7) g·mol^(-1)·h^(-1)).Notably,nickel bromides demonstrated higher activity compared to their chloride *** investigation into the effect of reaction temperature on catalytic performance revealed that NiBrMe-MMAO system displayed high thermal stability(activity up to 2.51×10^(6) g·mol^(-1)·h^(-1) at 100℃)and consistently yielded high polymer molecular weights with narrow polydispersity over a broad temperature range of 30-100℃.Of significant note,mechanical analysis of the resulting polyethylene demonstrated excellent ultimate tensile strength and high strain at ***,the polyethylene sample prepared at 100℃exhibited ultimate tensile strength up to 10 MPa with 1863%maximum strain at break and a strain recovery of up to 54.9%after ten cycles at a fixed strain of 300%,indicating excellent material properties of prepared thermoplastic polyethylene elastomers(TPE).

Minocycline in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Laser powder bed fusion of NiTiFe shape memory alloy via premixed powder:microstructural evolution,mechanical and functional properties

High-cost pre-alloyed powder is the bottleneck problem that limits the widespread application of additivemanufactured shape memory *** this work,the lowcost ternary NiTiFe shape memory alloy is fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)technique via mechanically mixed pre-alloy NiTi powder and varying contents pure Fe powder(1,2,3 wt%).All NiTiFe alloys show a relative density of up to 99.8%by optimizing the LPBF processing *** to the heterogeneous nucleation effect of micron-sized Fe particles,both grain refinement and texture weakening are generated in the NiTiFe alloys,accompanied by the reduction of dislocation *** the room-temperature mechanical properties,the NiTi-3Fe alloy shows the highest microhardness of HV370,but the fracture strength and elongation reduce to1701 MPa and 23%*** evolution of mechanical properties is attributed to the high internal defects,low dislocation density and the incoherent ***,the NiTi-3Fe alloy shows the quasi-linear superelasticity behavior;the superelastic recoverable strain of NiTi-1Fe and NiTi-2Fe decreased with the increase in Fe *** study provided a new-fangled insight for the development of multi-component NiTi-based shape memory alloys by additive manufacturing.

Objective: To determine whether monotropein has an anticancer effect and explore its potential mechanisms against colorectal cancer(CRC) through network pharmacology and molecular docking combined with experimental verification. Methods: Network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to predict potential targets of monotropein against CRC. Cell counting kit assay, plate monoclonal assay and microscopic observation were used to investigate the antiproliferative effects of monotropein on CRC cells HCT116, HT29 and LoVo. Flow cytometry and scratch assay were used to analyze apoptosis and cell cycle, as well as cell migration, respectively in HCT116, HT29, and LoVo cells. Western blotting was used to detect the expression of proteins related to apoptosis, cell cycle, and cell migration, and the expression of proteins key to the Akt pathway. Results: The Gene Ontology and Reactome enrichment analyses indicated that the anticancer potential of monotropein against CRC might be involved in multiple cancer-related signaling pathways. Among these pathways, RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase(Akt1, Akt2), cyclin-dependent kinase 6(CDK6), matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP9), epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), cell division control protein 42 homolog(CDC42) were shown as the potential anticancer targets of monotropein against CRC. Molecular docking suggested that monotropein may interact with the 6 targets(Akt1, Akt2, CDK6, MMP9, EGFR, CDC42). Subsequently, cell activity of HCT116, HT29 and LoVo cell lines were significantly suppressed by monotropein(P<0.05). Furthermore, our research revealed that monotropein induced cell apoptosis by inhibiting Bcl-2 and increasing Bax, induced G_1–S cycle arrest in colorectal cancer by decreasing the expressions of CyclinD1, CDK4 and CDK6, inhibited cell migration by suppressing the expressions of CDC42 and MMP9(P<0.05), and might play an anticancer role through Akt signaling pathway. Over the past few decades,photocatalysis technology has received extensive attention because of its potential to mitigate or solve energy and environmental pollution *** novel materials with outstanding photocatalytic activities has become a research hotspot in this *** this study,we prepared a series of photocatalysts in which BiOCl nanosheets were modified with carbon quantum dots(CQDs)to form CQDs/BiOCl composites by using a simple solvothermal *** photocatalytic performance of the resulting CQDs/BiOCl composite photocatalysts was assessed by rhodamine B and tetracycline degradation under visible-light *** with bare BiOCl,the photocatalytic activity of the CQDs/BiOCl composites was significantly enhanced,and the 5 wt%CQDs/BiOCl composite exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity with a degradation efficiency of 94.5%after 30 min of ***,photocatalytic N_(2)reduction performance was significantly improved after introducing *** 5 wt%CQDs/BiOCl composite displayed the highest photocatalytic N_(2)reduction performance to yield NH_3(346.25μmol/(g h)),which is significantly higher than those of 3 wt%CQDs/BiOCl(256.04μmol/(g h)),7 wt%CQDs/BiOCl(254.07μmol/(g h)),and bare BiOCl(240.19μmol/(g h)).Our systematic characterizations revealed that the key role of CQDs in improving photocatalytic performance is due to their increased light harvesting capacity,remarkable electron transfer ability,and higher photocatalytic activity sites.

Fast prediction method of full-space bistatic scattering sound field of underwater stiffened double cylindrical shell

A fast prediction method is presented for the full-space bistatic scattering sound field of the underwater stiffened double cylindrical shell. The scattering sound field is represented as the product of the acoustic scattering transfer function and the sound source density function. The target surface grid information and a small amount of simulation or experimentation multistatic scattering sound pressure data are used as known information to forecast other bistatic scattering sound fields with the help of numerical integration, matrix theory, and least squares method. The scattered sound pressure data from simulation of the finite element method(FEM) and experimental tests are used as input to calculate the multistatic scattered sound field of the underwater stiffened double cylindrical shell, respectively. The calculated results are compared with those calculated exclusively by the FEM, and the effects of different input data and calculation frequencies on the calculation results are discussed. The results show that the proposed method can predict the full-space bistatic scattered sound field of the target when the surface structure and part of the scattered sound field data are known. The greater amount of known scattered sound pressure data and lower computational frequency lead to higher predicted accuracy.
