Colorectal cancer(CRC)is the third most common cancer worldwide and the second most common cause of cancer death.Nanotherapies are able to selectively target the delivery of cancer therapeutics,thus improving overall antitumor eff-iciency and reducing conventional chemotherapy side effects.Mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs)have attracted the attention of many researchers due to their remarkable advantages and biosafety.We offer insights into the recent advances of MSNs in CRC treatment and their potential clinical application value.

Fully-light vector tetraquark states with explicit P-wave via QCD sum rules

In this study,we apply the QCD sum rules to investigate the vector fully-light tetraquark states with an explicit P-wave between the diquark and antidiquark pairs.We observed that the Cγα⊗↔∂μ⊗γαC(or Cγα⊗↔Dμ⊗γαC)type current with fully-strange quarks couples potentially to a tetraquark state with a mass 2.16±0.14GeV,which supports assigning Y(2175)/ϕ(2170)as the diquark-antidiquark type tetraquark state with JPC=1−−.The qsˉqˉs and ssˉsˉs vector tetraquark states with the structure Cγμ⊗↔∂α⊗γαC+Cγα⊗↔∂α⊗γμ(or Cγμ⊗↔Dα⊗γαC+Cγα⊗↔Dα⊗γμ)are consistent with X(2200)and X(2400),respectively,which lie in the region from 2.20 to 2.40GeV.The central values of the masses of the fully-strange vector tetraquark states with an explicit P-wave are approximately 2.16−3.13GeV(or 2.16−3.16GeV).Predictions for other fully-light vector tetraquark states with and without hidden-strange are also presented.

In this study,considering the conservation of isospin in the strong decays,we investigate the strong decays of the pentaquark molecule candidate P_(c)(4312)and its possible higher isospin cousin P_(c)(4330)in the framework of the QCD sum rules.Further,the pole residue of theΔbaryon with isospin eigenstate|II3>=|3/21/2)is obtained.If the possible pentaquark molecule candidate P_(c)(4330)could be determined,it would shed light on the interpretations of the P_(c) states in future experiments.

Live cells, as reservoirs of biochemical reactions, can serve as amazing integrated chemical plants where precursor formation, nucleation and growth of nanocrystals, and functional assembly, can be carried out accurately following an artificial program. It is crucial but challenging to deliberately direct intracellular pathways to synthesize desired nanocrystals that cannot be produced naturally in cells, because the relevant reactions exist in different spatiotemporal dimensions and will never encounter each other spontaneously.This article summarizes the progress in the introduction of inorganic functional nanocrystals into live cells via the ‘artificially regulated space–time-coupled live-cell synthesis’ strategy. We also describe ingenious bio-applications of nanocrystal–cell systems, and quasi-biosynthesis strategies expanded from live-cell synthesis. Artificially regulated live-cell synthesis—which involves the interdisciplinary application of biology, chemistry, nanoscience and medicine—will enable researchers to better exploit the unanticipated potentialities of live cells and open up new directions in synthetic biology.

In this study,we constructed color singlet-singlet-type five-quark currents with isospins(I,I_(3))=(1/2,1/2)and(3/2,1/2)unambiguously to explore theDΣ_(c),DΣ^(∗)_(c),¯D∗Σc,andD^(∗)Σ^(∗)_(c)pentaquark states via the quantum chromodynamics sum rules for the first time,where¯D,Σc,···represent the color singlet clusters with the same quantum numbers as the corresponding physical mesons or baryons.The numerical results support assigning P_(c)(4312),P_(c)(4380),P_(c)(4440),and P_(c)(4457)as theDΣ_(c),DΣ^(∗)_(c),¯D∗Σc,andD^(∗)Σ^(∗)_(c)pentaquark states,respectively,with the isospin I=1/2.The correspondingDΣ_(c),DΣ^(∗)_(c),¯D∗Σc,andD^(∗)Σ^(∗)_(c)pentaquark states with the isospin I=3/2 have slightly larger masses.The observations of the high pentaquark candidates in the J=Δinvariant mass spectrum would shed light on the nature of the P_(c)states and contribute in distinguishing the scenarios of the color antitriplet-antitriplet-antitriplet-type and color singlet-singlet-type pentaquark states.

ZrO_(2)ceramic coatings were directly prepared on the surface of ZrH_(1.8) in silicate and phosphate elec-trolytes by micro-arc oxidation(MAO)technique,respec-tively.The microstructure,chemical composition and phase composition of ZrO_(2)ceramic coatings were inves-tigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy-dispersive spectrometry(EDS)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The anti-permeation effect was measured by means of vacuum dehydrogenation experiment.It is found that the coating fabricated in phosphate electrolyte is more compact than that in silicate electrolyte.The coatings fabricated on the surface of ZrH_(1.8) are composed of M-ZrO_(2),T-ZrO_(2) and C-ZrO_(2).EDS analysis indicates that the coatings are mainly composed of O and Zr.Vacuum dehydrogenation experiment shows that the permeation reduction factor(PRF)of coating prepared in phosphate electrolyte is su-perior to that in the silicate electrolyte,and the PRF value reaches up to 11.2,which can enhance the resistance effect of hydrogen significantly.

Fluorescence imaging is a useful tool in the field of biomedical applications.However,its imaging capacity is limited by the depth of tissue that can be penetrated when using visible light(400-700 nm)or the first near-infrared window(NIR-Ⅰ,700-900 nm).To overcome the problem,fluorescence imaging in the second near-infrared window(NIR-Ⅱ,1000-1700 nm)has been developed to reduce photon scattering,auto-absorption and tissue autofluorescence to achieve high spatiotemporal resolution and deep imaging penetration.The key to NIR-Ⅱimaging is obtaining and analyzing highly selective information from functional fluorophores that emit in the 1000-1700 nm range.With the rapid development of multidisciplinary research,various types of NIR-Ⅱfluorophores have been produced and used in non-invasive,real-time NIR-Ⅱbiomedical applications.This review summarizes some of the most prevalent NIR-Ⅱfluorophores and their synthesis,such as organic fluorophores(OFs),single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs),quantum dots(QDs),and rare-earth nanoparticles(RENPs).On this basis,we describe the applications of these fluorophores in biomedical fields,including bioimaging,biosensing,phototherapy and surgical navigation.Additionally,major challenges and prospects of NIR-Ⅱbiomedical application will be further explored.

The present work aims to present the micro-arc oxidation(MAO)zirconia coating with superior compact-ness and moderate thickness on zirconium hydride.The experiments were designed according to L16(44)orthog-onal array to optimize electrical parameters(frequency,negative voltage,positive voltage and MAO time),with four levels of each factor.The optimized value was pre-dicted and verified by the confirmation experiment.The anti-permeation effect was tested by means of vacuum dehydrogenation experiment.The optimized coating parameters are listed as follows:treating time of 25 min,frequency of 200 Hz,negative voltage of 150 V and pos-itive voltage of 380 V.Experimental results show that the optimized coating exhibits the highest compactness of 0.3705 mg·μm^(-1).This dense coating significantly enhan-ces the hydrogen anti-permeation effects,and the PRF value is improved by nearly 13 times in contrast with that of uncoated ZrH_(1.8).

BACKGROUND Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis(MRH)is a rare non-Langerhans histiocytosis of unknown etiology characterized by papulonodular skin lesions and progressive,erosive arthritis.To date,there have been approximately 300 cases of MRH reported worldwide.The majority of patients are Caucasian from western countries,and Asian patients are rare.Here,we report a case of MRH in a Chinese patient.CASE SUMMARY A 38-year-old male was admitted to the hospital with a rash that had persisted for over 2 years and bilateral knee pain for over 1 year.The patient’s symptoms had previously been misdiagnosed as eczema when there were only skin symptoms and was finally diagnosed as MRH after a skin biopsy of the left upper back.The patient was treated with glucocorticoids combined with an immunosuppressive regimen.While the skin lesions on both arms,abdomen,and back subsided,the skin lesions on the rest of the body did not increase.The interphalangeal joints of both thumbs and bilateral knee joints remained swollen and painful.CONCLUSION The case will help clinicians better identify and treat this disease in the absence of epidemiological studies or randomized controlled data.
