Asperuloside Promotes Apoptosis of Cervical Cancer Cells through Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress-Mitochondrial Pathway

Objective: To investigate the effects of asperuloside on cervical cancer based on endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress and mitochondrial pathway. Methods: Different doses(12.5–800 μg/mL) of asperuloside were used to treat cervical cancer cell lines Hela and CaSki to calculate the half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC_(50)) of asperuloside. The cell proliferation was analyzed by clone formation assay. Cell apoptosis, intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS) and mitochondrial membrane potential were determined by flow cytometry. The protein expressions of cleaved-caspase-3, Bcl-2, Bax, Cyt-c, cleaved-caspase-4 and glucose-regulated protein 78(GRP78) were analyzed by Western blot. And the inhibitor of ER stress, 4-phenyl butyric acid(4-PBA) was used to treat cervical cancer cells to further verify the role of ER stress in the apoptosis of cervical cancer cells induced by asperuloside. Results: Asperuloside of 325, 650, and 1300 μg/mL significantly inhibited the proliferation and promoted apoptosis of Hela and CaSki cells(P<0.01). All doses of asperuloside significantly increased intracellular ROS levels, reduced mitochondrial membrane potential, significantly reduced Bcl-2 protein expression level, and increased Bax, Cyt-c, GRP78 and cleaved-caspase-4 expressions(P<0.01). In addition, 10 mmol/L 4-PBA treatment significantly promoted cell proliferation and reduced apoptosis(P<0.05), and 650 μg/mL asperuloside could reverse 4-PBA-induced increased cell proliferation, decreased apoptosis and cleaved-caspase-3,-4 and GRP78 protein expressions(P<0.05). Conclusion: Our study revealed the role of asperuloside in cervical cancer, suggesting that asperuloside promotes apoptosis of cervical cancer cells through ER stress-mitochondrial pathway.

The classical two-scale asymptotic paradigm provides macroscopic and microscopic analyses for the elastodynamic homogenization of periodic composites based on the spatial or/and temporal variable,which offers an approximate framework for the asymptotic homogenization analysis of the motion ***,in this framework,the growing complexity of the homogenization formulation gradually becomes an obstacle as the asymptotic order *** such a context,a compact,fast,and accurate asymptotic paradigm is *** work reviews the high-order spatial two-scale asymptotic paradigm with the effective displacement field representation and optimizes the implementation by symmetrizing the tensor to be ***,the modified implementation gets rid of the excessive memory consumption required for computing the high-order tensor,which is demonstrated by representative one-and two-dimensional *** numerical results show that(1)the contrast of the material parameters between media in composites directly affects the convergence rate of the asymptotic results for the homogenization of periodic composites,(2)the convergence error of the asymptotic results mainly comes from the truncation error of the modified asymptotic homogenized motion equation,and(3)the excessive norm of the normalized wavenumber vector in the two-dimensional inclusion case may lead to a non-convergence of the asymptotic results.

High-purity germanium(HPGe)detectors,which are used for direct dark matter detection,have the advantages of a low threshold and excellent energy *** surface passivation of HPGe has become crucial for achieving an extremely low energy *** this study,first-principles simulations,passivation film preparation,and metal oxide semiconductor(MOS)capacitor characterization were combined to study surface *** calculations of the energy band structure of the -H,-OH,and -NH_(2) passivation groups on the surface of Ge were performed,and the interface state density and potential with five different passivation groups with N/O atomic ratios were accurately analyzed to obtain a stable surface *** on the theoretical calculation results,the surface passivation layers of the Ge_(2)ON_(2) film were prepared via magnetron sputtering in accordance with the optimum atomic ratio *** microstructure,C-V,and I-V electrical properties of the layers,and the passivation effect of the Al/Ge_(2)ON_(2)/Ge MOS were characterized to test the interface state *** mean interface state density obtained by the Terman method was 8.4×10^(11) cm^(-2) eV^(-1).The processing of germanium oxynitrogen passivation films is expected to be used in direct dark matter detection of the HPGe detector surface passivation technology to reduce the detector leakage currents.

On January 1,2024,a devastating M 7.6 earthquake struck the Noto Peninsula,Ishikawa Prefecture,Japan,resulting in significant casualties and property *** information from the first six days after the earthquake,this article analyzes the seismic source characteristics,disaster situation,and emergency response of this *** results show:1)The earthquake rupture was of the thrust type,with aftershock distribution showing a north-east-oriented belt-like feature of 150 km.2)Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)and Interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR),observations detected significant westward to north-westward co-seismic displacement near the epicenter,with the maximum horizontal displacement reaching 1.2 m and the vertical uplift displacement reaching 4 m.A two-segment fault inversion model fits the observational data well.3)Near the epicenter,large Peak Ground Velocity(PGV)and Peak Ground Acceleration(PGA)were observed,with the maxima reaching 145 cm/s and 2681 gal,respectively,and the intensity reached the highest level 7 on the Japanese(Japan Meteorological Agency,JMA)intensity standard,which is higher than level 10 of the United States Geological Survey(USGS)Modified Mercalli Intensity(MMI)standard.4)The observation of the very rare multiple strong pulse-like ground motion(PLGM)waveform poses a topic worthy of research in the field of earthquake engineering.5)As of January 7,the earthquake had left 128 deaths and 560 injuries in Ishikawa Prefecture,with 1305 buildings completely or partially destroyed,and had triggered a chain of disasters including tsunamis,fires,slope failures,and road ***,this paper summarizes the emergency rescue,information dissemination,and other disaster response and management measures taken in response to this *** work provides a reference case for carrying out effective responses,and offers lessons for handling similar events in the future.

Due to the large number of submodules(SMs),and modular multilevel converters(MMCs)in high-voltage applications,they are usually regulated by the nearest level modulation(NLM).Moreover,the large number of SMs causes a challenge for the fault diagnosis strategy(FDS).This paper proposes a currentless FDS for MMC with *** FDS,the voltage sensor is relocated to measure the output voltage of the *** acquire the capacitor voltage and avoid increasing extra sensors,a capacitor voltage calculation method is *** on the measurement of output voltages,the faults can be detected and the number of different-type switch open-circuit faults can be confirmed from the numerous SMs in an arm,which narrows the scope of fault ***,the faulty SMs and faulty switches in these SMs are further located without arm current according to the sorting of capacitor voltages in the voltage balancing *** FDS is independent of the arm current,which can reduce the communication cost in the hierarchical control system of ***,the proposed FDS not only simplifies the identification of switch open-circuit faults by confirming the scope of faults,but also detects and locates multiple different-type faults in an *** effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by the simulation results.

Effect of BaO and MgO on structure and properties of aluminate slag with various CaO/Al_(2)0_(3)ratios

To provide theoretical guidance for performance stability control of low-reactive mold fluxes,the effects of BaO and MgO on the structure and properties of aluminate slag with various CaO/Al_(2)0_(3)(C/A)ratios were investigated using the Fourier transform infrared spectrometer,Raman spectroscope,hemispherical melting point instrument,rotational viscometer and X-ray *** results indicated that with BaO and MgO addition,the structure polymerization was first weakened and then enhanced at C/A of 1.1,and the transition contents corresponded to 8 wt.%BaO and 2 wt.%MgO,respectively,while the structure polymerization decreased continuously at C/A of *** the viscosity change was well consistent with the structure evolution,the polymerization degree played a more prominent role in the slag viscosity than superheat degree when the melting temperature difference was within 40℃.The break temperature decreased initially and then increased with augment of BaO and MgO at C/A of 1.1,while it manifested a decrease trend with BaO addition,and it decreased obviously but then turned to increase with MgO increment at C/A of *** crystallization phase and crystallization ratio kept stable with BaO increment,while the crystallization ratio rose greatly with MgO promoting LiAlO_(2)precipitation at C/A of *** crystal types of all experimental slags were mainly Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33)and CaF_(2)at C/A of 1.3,and the precipitation of crystalline phase BaAl2O4 demonstrated a rising trend,while that of Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33)gradually declined with BaO augment.

The occurrence of ultrafiltration(UF)membrane fouling frequently hampers the sustainable advancement of UF *** self-cleaning UF membranes can effectively alleviate the problem of membrane ***,the self-cleaning process may accelerate membrane *** these concerns,we present an innovative design concept for composite self-healing materials based on self-cleaning UF *** begin,TiO_(2)nanoparticles were incorporated into the polymer molecular structure via molecular design,resulting in the synthesis of TiO_(2)/carboxyl-polyether sulfone(PES)hybrid ***,the nonsolvent-induced phase inversion technique was employed to prepare a novel of UF ***,a polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)hydrogel coating was applied to the hybrid UF membrane surface to create PVA@TiO_(2)/carboxyl-PES self-healing reactive UF *** establishing a covalent bond,the TiO_(2)nanoparticles were effectively and uniformly dispersed within the UF membrane,leading to exceptional self-cleaning ***,the water-absorbing and swelling properties of PVA hydrogel,along with its capacity to form hydrogen bonds with water molecules,resulted in UF membranes with improved hydrophilicity and active self-healing *** results demonstrated that the water contact angle of PVA@5%TiO_(2)/carboxyl-PES UF membrane was 43.1°.Following a 1-h exposure to simulated solar exposure,the water flux recovery ratio increased from 48.16%to 81.03%.Moreover,even after undergoing five cycles of 12-h simulated sunlight exposure,the UF membranes exhibited a consistent retention rate of over 97%,thus fully demonstrating their exceptional self-cleaning,antifouling,and selfhealing *** anticipate that the self-healing reactive UF membrane system will serve as a pioneering and comprehensive solution for the self-cleaning antifouling challenges encountered in UF membranes while also effectively mitigating the aging effects of reactive

The effect of lanthanum on the characteristics of inclusions in the slab of non-oriented electrical steels was investigated through industrial trials and thermodynamic *** number,size,and chemical composition of inclusions in the surface,one-quarter of thickness and the center of slabs with and without lanthanum addition were statistically analyzed using an automatic inclusion analysis *** the lanthanum-free slab,inclusions were predominately ***_(2)O_(3),MgO,and AlN as well as a small number of Al_(2)O_(3)-MgO-CaO and *** number densities of oxide inclusions and AlN decreased from the surface to the center of the slab,which was ascribed to the difference in cooling intensity during the continuous *** the steel with lanthanum addition,inclusions were modified into LaAlO_(3) and La_(2)O_(2)S and gradually transformed into dual-phase MgO-La_(2)S3 with an increasing distance from the slab surface due to the reaction between the lanthanum-containing inclusion and the steel *** uneven distribution of oxide inclusions along the thickness of the slab was eliminated in the lanthanum-bearing slab because the dissolved oxygen was remarkably decreased by ***-bearing inclusions were more likely to agglomerate AlN by inducing the heterogeneous nucleation of AlN on their surface,while small-size ***_(2)O_(3) inclusions hardly showed a coarsening effect on the size of AlN.

Morphological Classification of Infrared Galaxies Based on WISE

This study introduces a novel convolutional neural network,the WISE Galaxy Classification Network(WGC),for classifying spiral and elliptical galaxies using Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer(WISE)*** attains an accuracy of 89.03%,surpassing the combined use of K-means or SVM with the Color-Color method in more accurately identifying galaxy *** enhanced variant,WGC_mag,integrates magnitude parameters with image features,further boosting the accuracy to 89.89%.The research also delves into the criteria for galaxy classification,discovering that WGC primarily categorizes dust-rich images as elliptical galaxies,corresponding to their lower star formation rates,and classifies less dusty images as spiral *** paper explores the consistency and complementarity of WISE infrared images with SDSS optical images in galaxy morphology *** SDSS Galaxy Classification Network(SGC),trained on SDSS images,achieved an accuracy of 94.64%.The accuracy reached 99.30% when predictions from SGC and WGC were *** the complementarity of features in WISE and SDSS images,a novel variant of a classifier,namely the Multi-band Galaxy Morphology Integrated Classifier,has been *** classifier elevates the overall prediction accuracy to 95.39%.Lastly,the versatility of WGC was validated in other data *** the HyperLEDA data set,the distinction between elliptical galaxies and Sc,Scd and Sd spiral galaxies was most pronounced,achieving an accuracy of 90%,surpassing the classification results of the Galaxy Zoo 2 labeled WISE data *** research not only demonstrates the effectiveness of WISE images in galaxy morphology classification but also represents an attempt to integrate multi-band astronomical data to enhance understanding of galaxy structures and evolution.
