Phytochemical investigation of the aerial parts of Leonurus japonicus led to the isolation of one unusual clerodane diterpenoid,leojaponin A（1）,characterized by a C4–C7oxa-bridge,and two new labdane diterpenoids,leojaponins B（2） and C（3）.The structures of these new compounds were determined based on extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic *** the best of our knowledge,compound 1 is the first clerodane diterpenoid obtained from *** of them were evaluated for their cytotoxicity.

Phytochemical investigation of the aerial parts of Leonurus japonicus led to the isolation of one new labdane diterpenoid, leojaponin D （1） and two new ionone derivatives, leojaponones A and B （2 and 3）, together with seven known diterpenoids （4-10）. Their structures were elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data and by comparison with data reported in the literature. Selected isolates were evaluated their effects on lurkat IL2 secretino.

AIM: To investigate the associations between the polymorphisms of cell cycle pathway genes and the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METHODS: We enrolled 1127 cases newly diagnosed with HCC from the Tumor Hospital of Guangxi Medical University and 1200 non-tumor patients from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. General demographic characteristics, behavioral information, and hematological indices were collected by unified questionnaires. Genomic DNA was isolatedfrom peripheral venous blood using Phenol-Chloroform. The genotyping was performed using the Sequenom Mass ARRAY i PLEX genotyping method. The association between genetic polymorphisms and risk of HCC was shown by P-value and the odd ratio(OR) with 95% confidence interval(CI) using the unconditional logistic regression after adjusting for age, sex, nationality, smoking, drinking, family history of HCC, and hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection. Moreover, stratified analysis was conducted on the basis of the status of HBV infection, smoking, and alcohol ***: The HCC risk was lower in patients with the MCM4 rs2305952 CC(OR = 0.22, 95%CI: 0.08-0.63, P = 0.01) and with the CHEK1 rs515255 TC, TT, TC/TT(OR = 0.73, 95%CI: 0.56-0.96, P = 0.02; OR = 0.67, 95%CI: 0.46-0.97, P = 0.04; OR = 0.72, 95%CI: 0.56-0.92, P = 0.01, respectively). Conversely, the HCC risk was higher in patients with the KAT2 B rs17006625 GG(OR = 1.64, 95%CI: 1.01-2.64, P = 0.04). In addition, the risk was markedly lower for those who were carriers of MCM4 rs2305952 CC and were also HBs Ag-positive and non-drinking and nonsmoking(P < 0.05, respectively) and for those who were carriers of CHEK1 rs515255 TC, TT, TC/TT and were also HBs Ag-negative and non-drinking(P < 0.05, respectively). A type of waveguide ring resonator, based on Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped phosphate glass and using thermal-optical effect as tuning manner, is brought up. The ring resonator is composed of two straight waveguides and a ring waveguide with radius of 400 μm. Electrode is evaporated on the top of the waveguide to achieve thermal tuning. Firstly, the filtering scheme of the ring resonator is analyzed, then how parameters of the electrode influence the filtering characteristics is discussed.

Millettia nitida var. hirsutissima is a Chinese herbal medicine used for the treatment of gynecological diseases. An HPLC/DAD/ESI-MSn method was established for the rapid separation and characterization of bioactive flavonoids in M. nitida var. hirsutissima. A total of 32 flavonoids were detected, of which 14 compounds were unambiguously characterized by comparing their retention time, UV, and MS spectra with those of the reference standards, and the others were tentatively identified based on their tandem mass spectrometry fragmentation data obtained in the negative ionization mode on line. Nineteen of these compounds characterized were reported from this plant for the first time.

BACKGROUND Type II diabetes mellitus(T2DM)has been associated with increased risk of colon cancer(CC)and worse prognosis in patients with *** effects of T2DM on postoperative chemoresistance rate(CRR)and long-term disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with stage III CC who receive curative resection remain *** To investigate whether T2DM or glycemic control is associated with worse postoperative survival outcomes in stage III *** This retrospective cohort study included 278 patients aged 40-75 years who underwent surgery for stage III CC from 2018 to *** on preoperative T2DM history,the patients were categorized into non-DM(n=160)and DM groups(n=118).The latter was further divided into well-controlled(n=73)and poorly controlled(n=45)groups depending on the status of glycemic ***,OS,and CRR were compared between the groups and Cox regression analysis was used to identify risk *** Patients in the DM and non-DM groups demonstrated similar DFS,OS,and CRR(DFS:72.03%vs 78.75%,P=0.178;OS:81.36%vs 83.12%,P=0.638;CRR:14.41%vs 7.5%,P=0.063).Poorly controlled DM was associated with a significantly worse prognosis and higher CRR than well-controlled DM(DFS:62.22%vs 78.07%,P=0.021;OS:71.11%vs 87.67%,P=0.011;CRR:24.40%vs 8.22%,P=0.015).High preoperative fasting plasma glucose[DFS:Hazard ratio(HR)=2.684,P<0.001;OS:HR=2.105,P=0.019;CRR:HR=2.214,P=0.005]and glycosylated hemoglobin levels(DFS:HR=2.344,P=0.006;OS:HR=2.119,P=0.021;CRR:HR=2.449,P=0.009)indicated significantly poor prognosis and high CRR,while T2DM history did not(DFS:HR=1.178,P=0.327;OS:HR=0.933,P=0.739;CRR:HR=0.997,P=0.581).CONCLUSION Increased preoperative fasting plasma glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels,but not T2DM history,were identified as risk factors associated with poor postoperative outcomes and high CRR in patients with stage III CC.

BACKGROUND A dual therapy regimen containing amoxicillin is a common treatment option for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori(***).While substantial research supports the efficacy and safety of vonoprazan and amoxicillin(VA)dual therapy in the general population,there is still a lack of studies specifically focusing on its safety in elderly *** To evaluate efficacy and safety of VA dual therapy as first-line or rescue treatment for *** in elderly *** As a real-world retrospective study,data were collected from elderly patients aged 60 years and above who accepted VA dual therapy(vonoprazan 20 mg twice daily+amoxicillin 1000 mg thrice daily for 14 days)for *** eradication in the Department of Gastroenterology at Peking University First Hospital between June 2020 and January *** status was evaluated by^(13)C-urease breath test 6 weeks after *** adverse events(AEs)during treatment were *** In total,401 cases were ***-one cases were excluded due to loss to follow-up,lack of re-examination,or unwillingness to take *** total of 380 included cases comprised 250 who received VA dual therapy as first-line treatment and 130 who received VA dual therapy as rescue *** was successfully eradicated in 239 cases(95.6%)in the first-line treatment group and 116 cases(89.2%)in the rescue treatment *** overall incidence of AEs was 9.5%for both ***,9.2%of patients experienced an AE in the first-line treatment group and 10.0%in the rescue treatment *** patients discontinued treatment due to AE,with a discontinuation rate of 1.3%.No serious AE *** The VA dual therapy regimen as a first-line treatment and a rescue therapy was effective and safe for elderly patients aged 60 and older.
