Calcitonin gene-related peptide inhibits neuronal apoptosis in heatstroke rats via PKA/p-CREB pathway

Purpose:The incidence of heatstroke(HS)is not particularly high;however,once it occurs,the consequences are *** is reported that calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)is protective against brain injury in HS rats,but detailed molecular mechanisms need to be further *** this study,we further explored whether CGRP inhibited neuronal apoptosis in HS rats via protein kinase A(PKA)/p-cAMP response element-binding protein(p-CREB)***:We established a HS rat model in a pre-warmed artificial climate chamber with a temperature of(35.5±0.5)℃and a relative humidity of 60%±5%.Heatstress was stopped once core body temperature reaches above 41℃.A total of 25 rats were randomly divided into 5 groups with 5 animals each:control group,HS group,HS+CGRP group,HS+CGRP antagonist(CGRP8-37)group,and HS+CGRP+PKA/p-CREB pathway blocker(H89)group.A bolus injection of CGRP was administered to each rat in HS+CGRP group,CGRP8-37(antagonist of CGRP)in HS+CGRP8-37 group,and CGRP with H89 in HS+CGRP+H89 *** were recorded and the serum concentration of S100B,neuron-specific enolase(NSE),neuron apoptosis,activated caspase-3 and CGRP expression,as well as pathological morphology of brain tissue were detected at 2 h,6 h,and 24 h after HSin *** expression of PKA,p-CREB,and Bcl-2 in rat neurons were also detected at 2 h after HSin *** CGRP,CGRP8-37,or H89 were used to determine whether CGRP plays a protective role in brain injury via PKA/p-CREB *** unpairedt-test was used between the 2 samples,and the mean±SD was used for multiple ***-tailedp<0.05 was considered statistically ***:Electroencephalogram showed significant alteration ofθ(54.50±11.51vs.31.30±8.71,F=6.790,p=0.005)andαwave(16.60±3.21vs.35.40±11.28,F=4.549,p=0.020)in HS group compared to the control group 2 h after *** results of triphosphate gap terminal labeling(TUNEL)showed that the neuronal apoptosis of HS rats was increased in the c

Clinical efficacy of laparoscopic cholecystectomy plus cholangioscopy for the treatment of cholecystolithiasis combined with choledocholithiasis

BACKGROUND Currently,endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)plus laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)is the main treatment for cholecystolithiasis combined with ***,the treatment is unsatisfactory,and the development of better therapies is *** To determine the clinical efficacy of LC plus cholangioscopy for cholecystolithiasis combined with *** Patients(n=243)with cholecystolithiasis and choledocholithiasis admitted to The Affiliated Haixia Hospital of Huaqiao University(910th Hospital of Joint Logistic Support Force)between January 2019 and December 2023 were included in the study;111 patients(control group)underwent ERCP+LC and 132 patients(observation group)underwent LC+laparoscopic common bile duct exploration(LCBDE).Surgical success rates,residual stone rates,complications(pancreatitis,hyperamylasemia,biliary tract infection,and bile leakage),surgical indicators[intraoperative blood loss(IBL)and operation time(OT)],recovery indices(postoperative exhaust/defecation time and hospital stay),and serum inflammatory markers[C-reactive protein(CRP)],tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and interleukin-6(IL-6)were *** No significant differences in surgical success rates and residual stone rates were detected between the observation and control ***,the complication rate,IBL,OT,postoperative exhaust/defecation time,and hospital stays were significantly reduced in the observation group compared with the control ***,CRP,TNF-α,and IL-6 Levels after treatment were reduced in the observation group compared with the levels in the control *** These results indicate that LC+LCBDE is safer than ERCP+LC for the treatment of cholecystolithiasis combined with *** surgical risks and postoperative complications were lower in the observation group compared with the control ***,patients may recover quickly with less inflammation after LCBDE.

A Low Temperature Vulcanized Transparent Silane Modified Epoxy Resins for LED Filament Bulb Package

In this work, low-temperature vulcanized, transparent silane modified epoxy resins for LED filament bulb package were prepared. Firstly, transparent silane modified epoxy resins were produced through a controllable sol-gel method using γ-（2,3-epoxypropoxy）propytrimethoxysilane and dimethyldiethoxylsilane. The features of the reaction were investigated and the products were characterized in detail. Subsequently, various curing agents were explored to prepare transparent silane modified epoxy resins. The silane modified epoxy resins cured by PEA-230 at a fairly low temperature（40 °C/2 h then 60 °C/1 h） exhibited excellent thermal stability with a thermal degradation temperature as high as 316.5 °C and adjustable hardness between 40-60 shore A. The application tests showed the materials obtained were good candidates for LED filament bulb package.

SNR-adaptive deep joint source-channel coding scheme for image semantic transmission with convolutional block attention module

With the development of deep learning(DL),joint source-channel coding(JSCC)solutions for end-to-end transmission have gained a lot of *** deep JSCC schemes support dynamically adjusting the rate according to different channel conditions during transmission,enhancing robustness in dynamic wireless ***,most of the existing adaptive JSCC schemes only consider different channel conditions,ignoring the different feature importance in the image processing and *** uniform compression of different features in the image may result in the compromise of critical image details,particularly in low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)*** address the above issues,in this paper,a dual attention mechanism is introduced and an SNR-adaptive deep JSCC mechanism with a convolutional block attention module(CBAM)is proposed,in which matrix operations are applied to features in spatial and channel dimensions *** proposed solution concatenates the pooling feature with the SNR level and passes it sequentially through the channel attention network and spatial attention network to obtain the importance evaluation *** show that the proposed solution outperforms other baseline schemes in terms of peak SNR(PSNR)and structural similarity(SSIM),particularly in low SNR scenarios or when dealing with complex image content.

Cosmological Constraints on Neutrino Masses in Light of JWST Red and Massive Candidate Galaxies

The overabundance of the red and massive candidate galaxies observed by the James Webb Space Telescope(JWST)implies efficient structure formation or large star formation efficiency at high redshift z~*** the scenario of a low or moderate star formation efficiency,because massive neutrinos tend to suppress the growth of structure of the universe,the JWST observation tightens the upper bound of the neutrino *** A cold dark matter cosmology and a star formation efficiency∈[0.05,0.3](flat prior),we perform joint analyses of Planck+JWST and Planck+BAO+JWST,and obtain improved constraints∑m_(ν)<0.196 eV and ∑m_(ν)+<0.111 eV at 95% confidence level,*** on the above assumptions,the inverted mass ordering,which implies ∑m_(ν)≥0.1 eV,is excluded by Planck+BAO+JWST at 92.7% confidence level.

A Degree Condition for Graphs Having All(a,b)-parity Factors

Let a and b be positive integers such that a≤b and a≡b(mod 2).We say that G has all(a,b)-parity factors if G has an h-factor for every function h:V(G)→{a,a+2,…,b-2,b} with b|V(G)| even and h(v)≡b(mod 2) for all v∈V(G).In this paper,we prove that every graph G with n≥2(b+1)(a+b) vertices has all(a,b)-parity factors if δ(G)≥(b^(2)-b)/a,and for any two nonadjacent vertices u,v ∈V(G),max{d_(G)(u),d_(G)(v)}≥bn/a+***,we show that this result is best possible in some sense.

Toughening the petroleum-based epoxy resin blends with bio-based modifiers without compromising their modulus,mechanical strength,and other properties is still a big challenge in view of the *** this study,a bio-based liquid crystal epoxy resin(THMT-E P)with an s-triazine ring structure was utilized to modify a petroleum-based bisphenol A epoxy resin(E51)with 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone(DDS)as a curing agent,and the blended systems were evaluated for their thermal stability,mechanical properties,and flame *** results showed that the impact strength of the blended system initially increased and then decreased with the increase in THMT-EP content,and it reached the a maximum value of 26.5 kJ/m^(2)when the THMT-EP content was 5%,which was 31.2%higher than that of E51/***,the flexural strength,modulus,and glass transition tem perature of the blended system were all simultaneously improved with the addition of *** the same time,the addition of THMT-EP enhanced the flame retardancy of the system by increasing the char yield at 700℃and decreasing the peak heat release rate and total heat release *** work paves the way for a more sustainable improvement in the comprehensive performance of epoxy resin.
