Establishment of an animal model of ischemic type intrahepatic biliary lesion in rabbits

AIM:To explore a method to establish an animal model of ischemic type intrahepatic biliary lesion in rabbits. METHODS:Forty Japanese white rabbits of clean grade were divided randomly into four groups(10 rabbits per group)including sham operation(SO) group,and artery-bile obstruction(ABO)-1 h group, ABO-2 h group and ABO-3 h *** the rabbits in this study underwent the same initial surgical procedure in which the liver was prepared as for graft removal during liver *** in the SO group,no additional vascular intervention was performed,while in groups ABO-1 h,ABO-2 h and ABO-3 h,the animals underwent combined clamping of the hepatic artery and common bile duct with microvascular clips for 1,2 and 3 h,*** the scheduled occlusion time,the clip was removed to recover blood *** animals were killed 4 wk after *** survival rate,liver function, cholangiography and histopathological manifestation of the rabbits in each group were observed. RESULTS:The survival rate was 100%in groups SO,ABO-1 h and ABO-2 h,while it was 60%in group ABO-3 *** each observation time,the change degree of the indexes of liver function was proportional to the clamping time(ABO-3 h>ABO-2 h>ABO-1 h> SO,Plangiographical and histopathologic manifestations both showed that intrahepatic biliary lesion aggravated proportionally with the increase of the clamping time. CONCLUSION:An animal model of ischemic type intrahepatic biliary lesion in rabbits is successfully established,which may provide a reliable technique for basic and clinical research into the etiology, development and prophylaxis of ischemic type intrahepatic biliary lesion after liver transplantation.

Recently, neural implicit function-basedrepresentation has attracted more and more attention,and has been widely used to represent surfacesusing differentiable neural networks. However, surfacereconstruction from point clouds or multi-view imagesusing existing neural geometry representations stillsuffer from slow computation and poor accuracy. Toalleviate these issues, we propose a multi-scale hashencoding-based neural geometry representation whicheffectively and efficiently represents the surface asa signed distance field. Our novel neural networkstructure carefully combines low-frequency Fourierposition encoding with multi-scale hash encoding. Theinitialization of the geometry network and geometryfeatures of the rendering module are accordinglyredesigned. Our experiments demonstrate that theproposed representation is at least 10 times faster forreconstructing point clouds with millions of *** also significantly improves speed and accuracyof multi-view reconstruction. This study evaluated the feasibility of using polypropylene fiber(PF)as reinforcement in improving tensile strength behavior of cement-stabilized dredged sediment(CDS).The effects of cement content,water content,PF content and length on the tensile strength and stress–strain behavioral evolutions were evaluated by conducting splitting tensile strength ***,the micro-mechanisms characterizing the tensile strength behavior inside PF-reinforced CDS(CPFDS)were clarified via analyzing macro failure and microstructure *** results indicate that the highest tensile strengths of 7,28,60,and 90 d CPFDS were reached at PF contents of 0.6%,1.0%,1.0%,and 1.0%,exhibiting values 5.96%,65.16%,34.10%,and 35.83%higher than those of CDS,***,3 mm,PF of showed the best reinforcement *** CPFDS exhibited obvious tensile strain-hardening characteristic,and also had better ductility than *** mix factor(C_(C)^(a)/C_(w)^(b))and time parameter(q_(t0)(t))of CDS,and the reinforcement index(k_(t-PF))of CPFDS were used to establish the tensile strength prediction models of CDS and CPFDS,considering multiple *** PF“bridge effect”and associated cementation-reinforcement coupling actions inside CPFDS were mainly responsible for tensile strength behavior *** key findings contribute to the use of CPFDS as recycled engineering soils.

Thermoplastic polycarbonate polyurethanes(PCUs) are multiblock copolymers that have been applied for medical devices for long time. Aliphatic diols are common chain extenders(CE) involved in the composition of the hard segments of PCU. However, limited knowledge was discovered about how the chemical structure of CE affects the hydrogen bonding organization within PCUs and their mechanical *** investigate this problem, a group of PCUs were synthesized respectively by extending the polymer chain with 1,4-butanediol(BDO),aminoethanol(MEA), ethanediol(EO) as three kinds of chain extenders. Tiny differences in the CE chemical structure results in remarkable variations in phase separation, condensed morphologies, thermal and mechanical properties, which are characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, atomic force microscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, differential scanning calorimetry, and tensile tests. The microstructural evolution during unilateral deformation and the different mechanism induced by the different CEs was probed and unveil by in situ wide-and small-angle X-ray diffraction. Symmetry of CE can improve the organization of the hydrogen bonding. The coherence strength of the urethane/urea group also plays a key role by comparing the two PCUs with ethanediol and aminoethanol.

Separable nonlinear models are widely used in various fields such as time series analysis, system modeling, and machine learning, due to their flexible structures and ability to capture nonlinear behavior of data. However, identifying the parameters of these models is challenging, especially when sparse models with better interpretability are desired by practitioners. Previous theoretical and practical studies have shown that variable projection (VP) is an efficient method for identifying separable nonlinear models, but these are based on \(L_2\) penalty of model parameters, which cannot be directly extended to deal with sparse constraint. Based on the exploration of the structural characteristics of separable models, this paper proposes gradient-based and trust-region-based variable projection algorithms, which mainly solve two key problems: how to eliminate linear parameters under sparse constraint;and how to deal with the coupling relationship between linear and nonlinear parameters in the model. Finally, numerical experiments on synthetic data and real time series data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Afterburning behind the detonation front of an aluminized explosive releases energy on the millisecond timescale,which prolong the release of detonation energy and the energy release at different stages also shows significant ***,at present,there are few effective methods for evaluating the energy release characteristics of the middle reaction stage of such explosives,which can have a duration of tens to hundreds of *** present work demonstrates an approach to assessing the midstage of an aluminized explosive detonation based on a water push test employing a high degree of *** this method,the explosive is contained in a steel cylinder having one end closed that is installed at the bottom of a transparent water *** detonation,the gaseous products expand in one direction while forcing water ahead of *** resulting underwater shock wave and the interface between the gas phase products and the water are tracked using an ultra-high-speed framing and streak *** shock wave velocity in water and the expansion work performed by the gaseous detonation products were calculated to assess the energy release characteristics of aluminized explosives such as CL-20 and RDX in the middle stage of the detonation *** the middle stage of the detonation process of these aluminized explosives,the aluminum reaction reduced the attenuation of shock waves and increased the work performed by gas phase products.A higher aluminum content increased the energy output while the presence of oxidants slowed the energy release *** work demonstrates an effective means of evaluating the performance of aluminized explosives.
