Integrating morphological spatial pattern analysis and the minimal cumulative resistance model to optimize urban ecological networks: a case study in Shenzhen City, China

Background:With the increasing fragmentation of landscape induced by rapid urbanization,the construction of ecological networks is of great signifcance to alleviate the degradation of urban habitats and protect natural envi‑***,there is considerable uncertainty when constructing ecological networks,especially the difer‑ent approaches to selecting ecological *** used the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen as a study area to construct and optimize ecological networks using a coupling *** source areas were extracted using morphological spatial pattern analysis(MSPA)and the landscape index *** networks were con‑structed using the minimal cumulative resistance(MCR)model and the gravity *** stones and ecological fault points were added in corridors to optimize the ecological ***:Ten core areas with maximum importance patch values were extracted by the landscape index method as ecological source areas according to MSPA,after which corridors between ecological sources were constructed based on the MCR *** constructed ecological networks were optimized using 35 stepping stones and 17 ecologi‑cal fault *** optimized ecological networks included 11 important corridors,34 general corridors,and seven potential *** results of corridor landscape-type analysis showed that a suitable ecological corridor is 60 to 200 m ***:Overall,our results imply that ecological source areas can be identifed virtually,and that ecological networks can be signifcantly optimized by combining MSPA and MCR *** results provide a methodologi‑cal reference for constructing ecological networks,and they will be useful for urban planning and biodiversity protec‑tion in Shenzhen and other similar regions around the world.

BACKGROUND Type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus(T2DM)has been associated with increased risk of colon cancer(CC)and worse prognosis in patients with *** effects of T2DM on postoperative chemoresistance rate(CRR)and long-term disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with stage Ⅲ CC who receive curative resection remain *** To investigate whether T2DM or glycemic control is associated with worse postoperative survival outcomes in stage Ⅲ *** This retrospective cohort study included 278 patients aged 40-75 years who underwent surgery for stage Ⅲ CC from 2018 to *** on preoperative T2DM history,the patients were categorized into non-DM(n=160)and DM groups(n=118).The latter was further divided into well-controlled(n=73)and poorly controlled(n=45)groups depending on the status of glycemic ***,OS,and CRR were compared between the groups and Cox regression analysis was used to identify risk *** Patients in the DM and non-DM groups demonstrated similar DFS,OS,and CRR(DFS:72.03%vs 78.75%,P=0.178;OS:81.36%vs 83.12%,P=0.638;CRR:14.41%vs 7.5%,P=0.063).Poorly controlled DM was associated with a significantly worse prognosis and higher CRR than well-controlled DM(DFS:62.22%vs 78.07%,P=0.021;OS:71.11%vs 87.67%,P=0.011;CRR:24.40%vs 8.22%,P=0.015).High preoperative fasting plasma glucose[DFS:Hazard ratio(HR)=2.684,P<0.001;OS:HR=2.105,P=0.019;CRR:HR=2.214,P=0.005]and glycosylated hemoglobin levels(DFS:HR=2.344,P=0.006;OS:HR=2.119,P=0.021;CRR:HR=2.449,P=0.009)indicated significantly poor prognosis and high CRR,while T2DM history did not(DFS:HR=1.178,P=0.327;OS:HR=0.933,P=0.739;CRR:HR=0.997,P=0.581).CONCLUSION Increased preoperative fasting plasma glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels,but not T2DM history,were identified as risk factors associated with poor postoperative outcomes and high CRR in patients with stage Ⅲ CC.

Transition metal-carbonate interfaces often act as active sites in heterogeneous catalytic *** interface between transition metal and metal carbonate exhibits a dynamic equilibrium during the CO_(2)hydrogenation reaction,involving surface carbonate hydrogenation and CO_(2)***,there have been few reports on engineering the activity of the interface between transition metal and alkaline earth metal carbonate for catalytic CO_(2)*** work demonstrated that the incorporation of CaH_(2)in Ni/CaCO_(3)enhances the CO_(2)methanation activity of the *** CO_(2)conversion for Ni/CaH_(2)-CaCO_(3)reached 68.5%at 400°C,which was much higher than that of the Ni/CaCO_(3)(31.6%) and Ni/CaH_(2)-CaO (42.4%) ***,the Ni/CaH_(2)-CaCO_(3)catalysts remained stable during the stability test for 24 h at 400°C and 8 *** research revealed that CaH_(2)played a crucial role in promoting the activity of the Ni-carbonate interface for CO_(2)***_(2)could modify the electronic structure of Ni and tune the structural properties of CaCO_(3)to generate medium basic sites (OH groups),which are favorable for the activation of H2and CO_(2).In-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis combined with density functional theory calculations demonstrated that CO_(2)activation occurs at the hydroxyl group (OH) on the CaH_(2)-modified Ni-carbonate surface,leading to the formation of CO_(3)H****,our study has confirmed that CO_(2)methanation over the Ni/CaH_(2)-CaCO_(3)catalysts proceeds via the formate pathway.

Noninvasive imaging(computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging,endoscopic ultrasonography,and positron emission tomography)as an important part of the clinical workflow in the clinic,but it still provides limited information for diagnosis,treatment effect evaluation and prognosis *** addition,judgment and diagnoses made by experts are usually based on multiple years of experience and subjective impression which lead to variable results in the same *** accumulation of medical imaging data,radiomics emerges as a relatively new approach for *** artificial intelligence techniques,highthroughput quantitative data which is invisible to the naked eyes extracted from original images can be used in the process of patients’*** studies have evaluated radiomics combined with clinical factors,pathological,or genetic information would assist in the diagnosis,particularly in the prediction of biological characteristics,risk of recurrence,and survival with encouraging *** various clinical settings,there are limitations and challenges needing to be overcome before ***,we summarize the concepts and method of radiomics including image acquisition,region of interest segmentation,feature extraction and model *** also set forth the current applications of radiomics in clinical *** last,the limitations and related deficiencies of radiomics are pointed out to direct the future opportunities and development.

In this study,a novel Ni-W-Co-Mo medium heavy alloy(MHA)was designed to improve its mechanical strength via Mo *** the Ni-42W-10Co-x Mo alloy series,where x represents the weight percent of Mo and varies between 0,1,2,5,and 10,the microstructure transitions from a dendritic structure to a hypo-eutectic structure as the Mo content increases from 0 to 5wt.%.Moreover,as the Mo content increases from 0 to 10wt.%,the distribution of theμ-phase shifts from being individually dispersed to forming aggregates,and its volume fraction rises from 0.5%to 7.9%.Notably,theμ-phase evolves into an eutectic microstructure,which helps in minimizing the segregation of *** change is accompanied by a substantial enhancement in mechanical properties;specifically,the compressive yield strength at room temperature increases from 350 MPa to 646 MPa,indicating a significant 85%***,the microhardness increases from 230 HV to 304 *** dynamics simulations further reveal that the strengthening mechanism of Ni-42W-10Co-x Mo alloys is Mo-induced solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening.

The high Ba-Sr rocks can provide significant clues about the evolution of the continent lithosphere,but their petrogenesis remains *** the Late Cretaceous high Ba–Sr granodiorites in the SE Lhasa Block could potentially provide valuable insights into the continent evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet *** U–Pb ages suggest that the granodiorites were emplaced at 87.32±0.43 ***,the high Ba–Sr granodiorites are characterized by elevated K_(2)O+Na_(2)O contents(8.18-8.73 wt%)and K_(2)O/Na_(2)O ratios(0.99-1.25,mostly>1),and belong to high-K calc-alkaline to shoshonitic *** Yonglaga granodiorites show notably high Sr(653-783 ppm)and Ba(1346-1531 ppm)contents,plus high Sr/Y(30.92-38.18)and(La/Yb)_(N)(27.7-34.7)ratios,but low Y(20.0-22.8 ppm)and Yb(1.92-2.19 ppm)contents with absence of negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.83-0.88),all similar to typical high Ba–Sr *** variable zirconεHf(t)values of-4.58 to+12.97,elevated initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr isotopic ratios of 0.707254 to 0.707322 and lowεNd(t)values of-2.8 to-3.6 with decoupling from the Hf system suggest that a metasomatized mantle source included significant recycled ancient *** occurrence of such high Ba–Sr intrusions indicates previous contributions of metasomatized mantle-derived juvenile material to the continents,which imply the growth of continental crust during the Late Cretaceous in the SE *** with regional data,we infer that the underplated mafic magma provides a significant amount of heat,which leads to partial melting of the juvenile *** melting of the metasomatized mantle could produce a juvenile mafic lower crust,from which the high Ba–Sr granitoids were derived from reworking of previous mafic crust during the Late Cretaceous(ca.100-80 Ma)in the SE Lhasa.

The expansive spectral coverage and superior optical properties of lithium niobate(LN)offer a comprehensive suite of tools for exploring novel *** high-quality(Q)photonic resonator cavities is crucial for enhancing light-matter ***,this task is challenging as the device performance is heavily dependent on the fabrication quality of the *** this paper,we present experimental validation of an etchless approach to fabricating high-Q photonic crystal nanobeam cavities(PCNBCs).We successfully fabricate PCNBCs with Q factors exceeding 105 while maintaining high transmittance by capitalizing on the low waveguide loss and high fabrication tolerance of TE-polarized ***,the Q factor achieved here exceeds previous reports on etchless LN PCNBCs by over an order of *** from this advancement,we further explore a variety of optical functions,including thermo-optic tuning,optically induced bistability,and Fano line shapes *** findings present promising prospects for a versatile platform technique,facilitating the development of high-performance electro-optic or acousto-optic modulators,optical logic devices,and quantum photonics,highlighting its significant impact in the field of photonic integration.
