The emerging two-dimensional materials,particularly transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),are known to exhibit valley degree of freedom with long valley lifetime,which hold great promises in the implementation of valleytronic ***,light-valley interactions have attracted attentions in these systems,as the electrical generation of valley magnetization can be readily achieved—a rather different route toward magnetoelectric(ME)effect as compared to that from conventional electron ***,so far,the moiré patterns constructed with twisted bilayer TMDs remain largely unexplored in regard of their valley spin polarizations,even though the symmetry might be distinct from the AB stacked bilayer ***,we study the valley Hall effect(VHE)in 40°-twisted chemical vapor deposition(CVD)grown WS2moiré transistors,using optical Kerr rotation measurements at 20 *** observe a clear gate tunable spatial distribution of the valley carrier imbalance induced by the VHE when a current is exerted in the system.

The precise movement speed regulation is a key factor to improve the control effect and efficiency of the cyborg ***,the current stimulation techniques cannot realize the graded control of the *** this study,we achieved the multi-level speed regulation of cyborg rats in the large open field and treadmill by specifically targeting the Cuneiform Nucleus(CnF)of the Mesencephalic Locomotor Region(MLR).Detailed,we measured the influence of each stimulation parameter on the speed control process which included the real-time speed,accelerated speed,response time,and acceleration *** concluded that the pulse period and the pulse width were the main determinants influencing the accelerated speed of cyborg *** the amplitude of stimulation was found to affect the response time exhibited by the cyborg *** study provides valuable insights into the regulation of rat locomotion speed and highlights the potential for utilizing this approach in various experimental settings.

The trajectory tracking control performance of nonholonomic wheeled mobile robots(NWMRs)is subject to nonholonomic constraints,system uncertainties,and external *** paper proposes a barrier function-based adaptive sliding mode control(BFASMC)method to provide high-precision,fast-response performance and robustness for *** with the conventional adaptive sliding mode control,the proposed control strategy can guarantee that the sliding mode variables converge to a predefined neighborhood of origin with a predefined reaching time independent of the prior knowledge of the uncertainties and disturbances *** advantage of the proposed algorithm is that the control gains can be adaptively adjusted to follow the disturbances amplitudes thanks to the barrier *** benefit is that the overestimation of control gain can be eliminated,resulting in chattering ***,a modified barrier function-like control gain is employed to prevent the input saturation problem due to the physical limit of the *** stability analysis and comparative experiments demonstrate that the proposed BFASMC can ensure the prespecified convergence performance of the NWMR system output variables and strong robustness against uncertainties/disturbances.

Magnetic orderings, i.e., the spontaneous alignment of electron spins below a critical temperature, have been playing key roles in modern science and technologies for both the wide applications of magnetic recording for information storage and the vibrant potential of solid state electronic spin devices (also known as spintronics) for logic operations. In the past decades, thanks to the development of thin film technologies, magnetic thin films via sputtering or epitaxial growth have made the spintronic devices possible at the industrial scale. Yet thinner materials at lower costs with more versatile functionalities are highly desirable for advancing future spintronics. Recently, van der Waals magnetic materials, a family of magnets that can in principle be exfoliated down to the monolayer limit, seem to have brought tremendous opportunities: new generation van der Waals spintronic devices can be seamlessly assembled with possible applications such as optoelectronics, flexible electronics, and etc. Moreover, those exfoliated spintronic devices can potentially be compatible with the famed metal-oxide field effect transistor architectures, allowing the harness of spin performances through the knob of an electrostatic field.

Optical materials with circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)features have attracted a growing interest due to their crucial role in biological sensing,display,spintronics,information storage,and so ***,CPL emissions in hybrid nanoparticle systems,in particular,chirality transfer induced CPL from chiral plasmonic nanoparticles,have rarely been explored due to a lack of effective bottom-up synthesis ***,we creatively take advantage of the newly introduced chiral plasmonic nanoparticles-gold nanohelicoid(GNH)to excite the CPL of achiral Rhodamine 6G(R6G).The fabricated GNH@R6G-SiO_(2)shows obvious CPL signals with|g_(lum)|up to *** with the single GNH,the photoluminescence(PL)dissymmetry factor of the single GNH@R6G-SiO_(2)is similar,but with 25 folds higher PL intensities under different circular *** research not only offers an effective and feasible method to fabricate single-particle level CPL-active materials,but also provides guidelines on how to regulate the CPL of achiral luminophores from chiral plasmonic nanostructures,thereby enlarging the category and quantity of CPL-active materials that can be applied for photonic technologies and visualization biosensing,especially some intracellular chirality related detection.

In the existing small-signal stability constrained op-timal power flow(SSSC-OPF)algorithms,only the rightmost ei-genvalue or eigenvalues that do not satisfy a given threshold,e.g.,damping ratio threshold and real-part threshold of eigen-value,are considered in the small-signal stability *** effect of steady-state,i.e.,operating point,changes on eigen-values is not fully taken into *** this paper,the small-signal stability constraint that can fully reflect the eigenvalue change and system dynamic performance requirement is formed by analyzing the eigenvalue distribution on the complex *** small-signal stability constraint is embedded into the standard optimal power flow model for generation *** simultaneous solution formula of the SSSC-OPF is es-tablished and solved by the quasi-Newton approach,while pen-alty factors corresponding to the eigenvalue constraints are de-termined by the stabilization degree of constrained *** improve the computation speed,a hybrid algorithm for ei-genvalue computation in the optimization process is proposed,which includes variable selection for eigenvalue estimation and strategy selection for eigenvalue *** effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is tested and validated on the New England 10-machine 39-bus system and a modified practical 68-machine 2395-bus system.

A nonlinear dynamic simulation model based on coordinated control of speed and flow rate for the molten salt reactor and combined cycle systems is proposed here to ensure the coordination and stability between the molten salt reactor and power *** model considers the impact of thermal properties of fluid variation on accuracy and has been validated with *** study reveals the capability of the control system to compensate for anomalous situations and maintain shaft stability in the event of perturbations occurring in high-temperature molten salt tank outlet ***,the control system’s impact on the system’s dynamic characteristics under molten salt disturbance is also *** results reveal that after the disturbance occurs,the controlled system benefits from the action of the control,and the overshoot and disturbance amplitude are positively correlated,while the system power and frequency eventually return to the initial *** simulation model provides a basis for utilizing molten salt reactors for power generation and maintaining grid stability.
