Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains *** A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of *** Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two *** Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease, while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes.

We investigate high time resolution data obtained by the Gravitational wave high-energy Electromagnetic Counterpart All-sky Monitor(GECAM)during the flare event on 2022 April 21 at 01:52 *** subpeaks with durations of 4-6 s have been detected in the hard X-ray precursor phase,and the key feature is that they appear in pairs and seem like double-peak *** subpeaks are rarely observed in hard X-ray band and confirmed by the microwave obtained by Nobeyama Radio Polarimeters(NoRP)and Radio Solar Telescope Network(RSTN).While an exponential function can describe the continuum component of the time profile from the precursor to part of the impulsive *** periods of quasi-periodic pulsations(QPPs)are detected to be about 7.3 and 12.8 s for the precursor and impulsive phase,respectively,with at least 95%confidence *** paired QPPs are assumed to be double-peak QPPs and then the scenario of current loop coalescence model is found to be in good agreement with our *** precursor phase can be interpreted as the oscillating coalescence of two islands,while the impulsive phase can be interpreted as more islands to coalesce one by one to form larger islands.

We operated a p-type point contact high purity germanium(PPCGe)detector(CDEX-1B,1.008 kg)in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)for 500.3 days to search for neutrinoless double beta(0νββ)decay of ^(76)Ge.A total of 504.3 kg⋅day effective exposure data was *** anti-coincidence and the multi/single-site event(MSE/SSE)discrimination methods were used to suppress the background in the energy region of interest(ROI,1989–2089 keV for this work)with a factor of 23.A background level of 0.33 counts/(keV⋅kg⋅yr)was *** lower limit on the half life of^(76)Ge 0νββdecay was constrained as T_(1/2)^(0ν)>1.0×10^(23)yr(90%C.L.),corresponding to the upper limits on the effective Majorana neutrino mass:<3.2–7.5 eV.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

background:The scored Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment(PG-SGA)has been widely used to assess the nutritional status of cancer *** purpose of this study is to compare the differences in PG-SGA scores and the 7 domain scores of the PG-SGA in male and female cancer ***:This study was conducted at 72 hospitals from July 2013 to December 2018,a part of the Investigation on Nutritional Status and its Clinical Outcomes of Common *** PG-SGA was recorded to evaluate the nutritional status of patients.A total of 19,528 patients with 13 common malignancies were included in this *** t test and the χ^(2) test were applied to analyze the sex diferences in the 7 domain *** Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database was used to analyze the expression levels of symptom-related ***:There were significant sex dfferences in the PG-SGA(P=0.032),notably in patients with gastric cancer(male vs female:9.09±4.86 vs 9.58±5.07,P=0.005)and esophageal cancer(9.64±4.90 vs 10.46±4.96,P=0.011)and the average total PG-SGA of female patients was slightly higher than that of male patients(7.64±4.98 vs 7.77±5.14).The differences were mainly related to the weight,eating,symptom,as well as activity and physical function scores in the stratified *** causes of the sex differences were the rates of nausea,vomiting,dry mouth,and other symptoms,in both gastric and esophageal cancer *** of the TCGA database suggested that most of the related genes were sex neutral,except for genes related to dysphagia in gastric cancer(VEGFC was higher in female patients,VEGFA and VEGFB higher in male patients).Conclusions:There are sex differences in the PG-SGA scores in patients with various tumor types(female patients generally had higher scores than male patients),with differences mainly in the weight,eating,symptom,as well as activity and physical function *** sex differences in PG-SGA scores might be due to the differences i

目的了解国内ICU收治患者的营养治疗实施状况。方法对国内116家医院的118个ICU内的患者进行营养治疗实施状况的横断面调查。以2017年4月26日0时所有在ICU内治疗的患者为调查对象,收集患者基本信息、2017年4月25日(即调查日)的营养实施和胃肠道耐受情况,以及患者的28 d临床转归情况。结果调查共收集病例1953例,女631例(32.4%),男1306例(66.9%),缺失16例(0.7%);年龄(64.1±19.3)岁(1950例)。患者GCS、SOFA和APACHEⅡ评分分别为(10.76±4.35)分(1749例)、(5.65±3.52)分(1783例)、(17.14±7.31)分(1792例)。28 d临床转归存活1483例(75.9%),死亡312例(16.0%),失访+缺失158例(8.1%)。除身高和体重(P=0.000)外,男性与女性患者在年龄、病情严重程度及28 d临床转归等方面差异均无统计学意义。1953例患者中,胃肠功能评估为正常或轻度损害占73.7%(1440例),中-重度损害占10.8%(210例),衰竭占1.7%(33例),13.2%(258例)的患者未做评估。截至调查日,69.4%(1356例)的患者已启动肠内营养(EN),36.4%(711例)的患者已启动肠外营养(PN)。调查日有营养摄入的患者1720例(88.1%)。1953例患者中明确有恶心、呕吐反流、误吸、腹痛、腹胀、腹泻(大便次数≥3次/d且量≥500 ml/d)等胃肠道不耐受表现的分别占总人数的4.8%(93例)、5.4%(105例)、0.9%(17例)、8.7%(170例)、27.5%(538例)和4.3%(84例)。在1270例使用EN的病例中,明确存在恶心、呕吐反流、误吸、腹痛、腹胀、腹泻等不耐受症状的分别占3.2%(40例)、4.3%(54例)、0.8%(10例)、4.4%(56例)、26.9%(341例)和5.4%(69例)。入ICU后24 h内开始EN治疗的患者占22.4%(437/1953),48 h内开始的占38.6%(754/1953),72 h内开始的占46.6%(911/1953)。患者入ICU后3 d总热卡(EN+PN非蛋白热卡)达标率为12.9%(78/607),7 d总热卡达标率为18.7%(189/1010),14 d总热卡的达标率为23.0%(305/1325)。入ICU后3、7、14 dEN达标率分别为9.9%(60/607)、15.0%(151/1010)和18.6%(246/1325)。结论目前我国ICU内的绝大多数患者均接受了营养治疗,其中EN的使用率明显高于PN;但EN的开始时间和达标情况仍不理想,且实施营养治疗时未能体现个体化差异,营养治疗的细节仍需要提高。

复方氨基酸注射液是肠外营养中氮的来源,广泛应用于不能经胃肠道给予或经胃肠道给予不能满足其营养需求的患者,在营养治疗中起重要作用。但目前对于复方氨基酸注射液临床应用的指征、剂型、剂量、时机,国内并无系统的指南或共识。为了进一步规范复方氨基酸注射液的临床应用,中华医学会肠外肠内营养学分会(Chinese Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition,CSPEN)及中国抗癌协会肿瘤营养专业委员会(Chinese Society of Nutritional Oncology,CSNO)组织全国专家,在系统性文献检索的基础上,参考美国肠外肠内营养学会(American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition,ASPEN)、欧洲临床营养和代谢学会(European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism,ESPEN)、CSPEN及CSNO指南,结合我国临床实践,经多次交流讨论,达成此共识。包括10条推荐意见,涉及不同患者的蛋白质需要量及氨基酸剂型选择。
