Effect of Chinese national holidays and weekends versus weekday admission on clinical outcomes in patients with STEMI undergoing primary PCI

Background Data regarding the influence of weekends and Chinese national holiday＇s admission on the outcomes of patients with ST-elevated myocardial infarction （STEMI） is lacking. This study sought to investigate the effect of Chinese national holidays and weekend admission on outcomes in patients with STEMI undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention （PPCI）. Methods Patients pre- senting with STEMI within 12 h of symptom onset who underwent PPCI were retrospectively enrolled. The primary outcome of in-hospital mortality and major adverse cardiovascular events in patients presenting Chinese national holiday＇s and weekends versus weekdays was evaluated. Results A total of 441 STEMI patients were enrolled in this study. Of these, 129 （29.3%） patients were admitted during Chinese national holidays and weekends and 312 （70.7%） during weekdays. Patients admitted during holidays and weekends were more likely to present with Killip class Ⅲ-Ⅳ. Patients admitted during holidays and weekends experienced a significantly longer door-to-baUoon time, symptom onset-to-door time as well as symptom onset-to-balloon time. The in-hospital mortality between patients presenting holidays and weekends versus weekdays was comparable. However, patients admitted during holidays and weekends have a signitieantly higher rate of in-hospital major adverse cardiovascular events. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that holidays and weekends admission was independ- ently associated with adverse outcomes. Conclusions In China, STEMI patients undergoing PPCI during national holidays and weekends have worse in-hospital outcomes compared to those admitted during weekdays. These findings suggest that continuous efforts should be undertaken to enhance the Chinese healthcare system and to ensure that comparable outcomes are achieved for all STEMI patients regardless of time of presentation.

Pyramiding Breeding by Marker-Assisted Recurrent Selection in Upland Cotton: Selected Effects on Resistance to Helicoverpa armigera

The coincidence rates were more than 96% among the instar-weighted average of bioassaysin the lab, the percentage of resistance to Km in the field and the percentage of plantscontaining Bt gene. So, the performance of resistance to Km in the field can be used torepresent the transgenic Bt gene for selecting the resistance to bollworm. The instar-weighted averages were 30.585, 24.182, 16.615, 10.601, 10.123, 7.440 and 7.215 for theC0, P1, M1, M2, MP1, P2 and MP2 populations, respectively. The variance analysisindicated that the instar-weighted average in C0 was greatly significantly higher thanthat in all other populations, i.e., the performance of resistance to bollworm in C0 washighly significantly lower than all other populations. And the resistance in P1 wasgreatly lower than that of M1, M2, MP1, P2 and MP2, and M1 greatly lower than that of M2,MP1, P2 and MP2. There were no significant differences among M2, MP1, P2 and MP2. Withinthe populations of the first cycle selection, MP1 and M1 were greatly significantlyhigher than P1, and MP1 significantly higher than M1. The populations of the second cycleselection were significantly higher than their initial population M1, but no significantdifference among them. The boll size, seed index, the percent of the first harvest yield,fiber length, strength and elongation of the resistant plants to bollworm were significantlylower than that of sensitive plants to bollworm. And the yield of seed and lint cottonof the resistant plant to bollworm were lower than that of the sensitive to bollworm, butno significant difference between them. The boll numbers per plant, lint percent andmicronaire of the resistant plants to bollworm were significantly higher than that of thesensitive plant to bollworm.

Association of Plasma Pentraxin-3 Levels on Admission with In-hospital Mortality in Patients with Acute Type A Aortic Dissection

Discovery of primary lung cancer following resection of rectal cancer lung metastasis:A case report

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)ranks high among the most common types of malignant *** primary cause of cancer-related mortality is metastasis,with lung metastases accounting for 32.9%of all cases of metastatic CRC(MCRC).However,cases of MCRC in the lungs,which present concurrently with primary peripheral lung adenocarcinoma,are exceptionally *** SUMMARY This report describes the case of a 52-year-old female patient who,following a colonoscopy,was diagnosed with moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma based on rectal mucosal biopsy findings.A preoperative chest computed tomography scan revealed a ground-glass nodule in the right lung and a small nodule(approximately 0.6 cm in diameter)in the extramural basal segment of the left lower lobe,which suggested multiple lung metastases from rectal *** treatment and follow-up led to a diagnosis of rectal cancer with left lung metastasis and peripheral adenocarcinoma of the lower lobe of the right *** This case report describes the therapeutic journey of a patient with lung metastasis from rectal cancer in addition to primary peripheral adenocarcinoma,thus underscoring the critical roles of multidisciplinary collaboration,personalized treatment strategies,and comprehensive patient rehabilitation guidance.

综合考虑受控制方向未知、输入受限和状态时延影响的有领导者多智能体系统的编队控制问题,设计基于模糊逻辑系统的预设时间一致性控制策略.为了保证编队输出误差在预设时间内满足预定的约束范围要求,引入预设时间性能函数,构造Lyapunov-Krasovskii(L-K)泛函解决状态时延问题,将外界干扰和L-K泛函的导数中的部分项定义为未知非线性函数,并利用模糊逻辑系统对其进行估计,利用Nussbaum函数和均值定理分别处理控制方向未知和输入受限问题,基于以上设计,提出预设时间模糊控制策略,并通过Lyapunov稳定性理论,分析闭环系统的有界稳定性,数值对比仿真和两级化学反应器应用仿真说明控制方法的有效性.

With accumulating evidence of transcatheter aortic valve replacement(TAVR)worldwide,it is gradually realized that patients being treated are different across different coun-tries,including but not limited to their age,habitus,disease etiology,aortic valve morphology,and sizes of structures.[1]In China,the average age of TAVR patients is around 5 years younger than industrialized countries,[2]making Chinese patients a good predictive sample of what the industrialized countries might see in TAVR screening in the near future due to the expansion of this technique to younger patients,but anatomical features appreciated from multi-slice computed tomography(MSCT)in the Chinese patient population have not been well demonstrated.
