Angioarchitecture plays an important role in the malignant development of intracranial hemangiopericytoma. It remains poorly understood whether high frequency of hemorrhage during clinical surgery for intracranial hemangiopericytoma is associated with angioarchitecture. The present study utilized hematoxylin-eosin staining, and immunohistochemical staining with epithelial membrane antigen, vimentin, CD34, von Willebrand factor （vWF） and CD133 to observe characteristics of angioarchitecture. In addition, silver stains were used to demonstrate changes in reticular fibers in the wall of vessel channels in intracranial hemangiopericytoma and meningioma. Five patterns of angioarchitecture were identified in intracranial hemangiopericytoma, namely tumor cell islands, vasculogenic mimicry, mosaic blood vessels, sprouting angiogenesis, and intussusceptive angiogenesis. Several CD133＋ tumor cells were found to form tumor cell islands. A connection between vWF ^＋ and vWF channels was detected in the pattern of intussusceptive angiogenesis, and some vimentin^＋ tumor cells were embedded in the periodic acid-Schiff positive channel wall. Incomplete threads of reticular fibers formed the walls of larger pseudo-vascular channels and some tumor clumps or scattered tumor cells were detected ＂floating＂ in them. The angioarchitecture, specific markers and reticular fibers of intracranial hemangiopericytoma were significantly different from meningioma. Angioarchitecture provides a functional vascular network for vascular evolution in intracranial hemangiopericytoma and contributes to significant intra-operative bleeding.

AIM： To investigate the feasibility of fast track clinica pathway for esophageal tumor resections. METHODS： One hundred and fourteen patients with esophageal carcinoma who underwent esophagogastrectomy from January 2006 to October 2007 in our department were studied. Fast track clinical pathway included analgesia control, fluid infusion volume control, early ambulation and enteral nutrition. Nasogastric tube was removed 3 d after operation and chest tube was removed 4 d after operation as a routine, and full liquid diet 5 d after operation. RESULTS： Among 114 patients （84 men and 30 women）, 26 patients underwent fast track surgery, including 17 patients over 65 years old and 9 under 65 （P = 0.014）; 18 patients who had preoperative complications could not bear fast track surgery （P 〈 0.001）. No significant differences in tolerance of fast track surgery were attributed to differences in gender, differentiated degree or stage of tumor, pathological type of tumor, or operative incision. The median length of hospital stay was 7 d （5-28 d）, 4% patients were readmitted to hospital within 30 d of discharge. Three patients died and postoperative mortality was 2.6%. All 3 patients had no determinacy to fast track surgery ***： The majority of patients with esophageal carcinoma can tolerate fast track surgery. Patients younger than 65 or who have no preoperative diseases have the best results. Median length of hospital stay has been reduced to 7 d.

Antiferroelectric materials with double hysteresis loops are attractive for energy storage applications,which are becoming increasingly important for power electronics *** them,AgNbO_(3) based lead-free ceramics have attracted intensive interest as one of promising environmental-friendly ***,most of the AgNbO_(3) based ceramics suffers from low dielectric breakdown strength(Eb).The limitation of low Eb is broken to some extent in this ***,AgNbO_(3) epitaxial films were fabricated by pulsed laser deposition,which possess high Eb of 624 kV/***(001)AgNbO_(3) epitaxial film reveals typical antiferroelectric hysteresis loops when the applied electric fields are over 300 kV/cm.A recoverable energy density of 5.8 J/cm^(3) and an energy efficiency of 55.8%are obtained at 600 kV/cm,which demonstrates the great promise of the AgNbO_(3) film for energy storage applications.

Preparation of Porous ZrO_2 and Study on Its Properties

The porous zirconia powder with a high surface area was synthesized by means of the ion exchange method from surfactant CTMAB. The highest surface area of the resulted zirconia reached 340 m 2/g having been calcined at 500 ℃ for 2 h. The influence of preparing conditions on the surface area was investigated. The results show that the amount of the surfactant and the aging time were two main factors affecting the surface area of zirconia. The IR analysis indicated that the large surface area was related to the cations of the surfactant which incorporated into hydrous zirconia by ion exchange.

Boron removal from metallurgical-grade silicon(MG-Si) using CaO–SiO2 slag was studied by employing a medium-frequency electromagnetic induction *** relationship between the optical basicity(K)of the CaO–SiO2 slag and the distribution coefficient of boron(LB) was ***, the local minimum and maximum LBvalues of 0.72 and 1.58 are obtained when K = 0.56 and K = 0.71, *** boron content in MG-Si decreases gradually with refinement time increasing, down to a minimum value of4.73 9 *** controlling step in the removal of boron from MG-Si is not the chemical reaction at the interface of the slag and ***, the controlling step is a diffusion mass transfer, in which boron impurities diffuse from molten silicon to the interface of the slag and silicon,or B2O3 formed by the chemical reaction diffuses from the slag–silicon interface to molten slag.
