To overcome the limitations of traditional experimental“trial and error”methods in lubricant additive design,a new molecular design method based on molecular structure parameters is established *** molecular mechanism of the antioxidant reaction of hindered phenol,diphenylamine,and alkyl sulfide are studied via molecular *** results show that the strong electron-donating ability and high hydrogen-donating activity of the antioxidant molecule and the low hydrogen-abstracting activity of free radicals formed after dehydrogenation are the internal molecular causes of the shielding of phenol and diphenylamine from scavenging peroxy free radicals,and the strong electron-donating ability is the internal molecular cause of the high activity of thioether in decomposing alkyl hydrogen *** on this antioxidant molecular mechanism,a molecular design rule of antioxidant is proposed,namely“high EHOMO,large Q(S),low bond dissociation energy BDE(O—H)and BDE(N—H)”.Two new antioxidants,PAS-I and PAS-II,are designed and prepared by chemical bonding of hindered phenol,diphenylamine,and sulfur *** results show that these antioxidants both have excellent antioxidant effects in lubricating oil,and that PAS-II is the superior antioxidant,consistent with theoretical predictions.

Supramolecular polymer networks (SPNs) are celebrated for their dynamic nature, yet they often exhibit inadequate mechanical properties. Thus far, the quest to bolster the mechanical resilience of SPNs while preserving their dynamic character presents a formidable challenge. Herein, we introduce [2]rotaxane into SPN to serve as another cross-link, which could effectively enhance the mechanical robustness of the polymer network without losing the dynamic properties. Compared with SPN, the dually cross-linked network (DPN) demonstrates superior breaking strength, Young's modulus, puncture force and toughness, underscoring its superior robustness. Furthermore, the cyclic tensile tests reveal that the energy dissipation capacity of DPN rivals, and in some cases surpasses, that of SPN, owing to the efficient energy dissipation pathway facilitated by [2]rotaxane. In addition, benefiting from stable topological structure of [2]rotaxane, DPN exhibits accelerated recovery from deformation, indicating superior elasticity compared to SPN. This strategy elevates the performance of SPNs across multiple metrics, presenting a promising avenue for the development of high-performance dynamic materials.

A type of unique azole-hybridized acylhydrazonyl aloe emodins(AAEs)were developed as new antibacterial agents for combating bacterial *** target AAEs showed strong antibacterial activities,especially,tetrazolylthioether AAE 27a exhibited broad antibacterial spectrum with 16-256 folds and 8-64 folds more active antibacterial efficacy than the reference drugs aloe emodin and norfloxacin,*** AAE 27a also gave low hemolysis and cytotoxicity,as well as favorable *** mechanism explorations revealed that tetrazolylthioether AAE 27a could cause bacterial membrane depolarization and damage the cell membrane,resulting in nucleic acid ***,compound 27a could intercalate into DNA to impede its replication and form supramolecular 27a-DNA gyrase complex to disturb the function of DNA *** findings would provide valuable insights for the further exploration of azolyl acylhydrazonyl aloe emodins as new potential antibacterial candidates.

A core-shell composite consisting of ZSM-5 zeolite as the core and ordered mesoporous silica as the shell was prepared by a surfactant-controlled sol-gel process and using tetradecylamine(TDA) as the template and Tetraethylorthosilicate(TEOS) as the silica *** pores of the silica shell were found to be ordered and perpendicular to the crystal faces of the zeolite *** thickness of the shell in the coreshell structured composite can be adjusted in the range of 20-90 nm,while the surface morphology and the pore size distribution were modified by changing the mass ratio of TEOS to *** composite molecular sieves have higher surface area for capturing molecules than ZSM-5,and with the increase of mesoporous shell layer,the ZSM-5@SiO_(2)-x composites show stronger adsorption capacity of ***,when the shell thickness exceeds 90 nm,the adsorption capacity of butyraldehyde decreases *** composites have a huge potential for environmental applications.

Hydrogel-based triboelectric nanoge nerator(TENG)has a promising applied prospect in wearable electronic ***,its low performance,poor stability,insufficient recyclability and inferior self-healing seriously hinder its ***,we report a robust route to a liquid metal(LM)/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)hydrogel-based TENG(LP-TENG).Owing to the intrinsically liquid feature of conductive LM within the flexible PVA hydrogel,the as-prepared LP-TENG exhibited comprehensiye advantages of adaptability,biocompatibility,outstanding electrical performance,superior stability,recyclability and diverse applications,which were unattainable by traditional ***,the LP-TENG delivered appealing open circuit voltage of 250 V,short circuit current of 4μA and transferred charge of 120 nC with high stability,outperforming most advanced TENG *** LP-TENG was successfully employed for versatile applications with multifunctionality,including human motion detection,handwriting recognition,energy collection,message transmission and human-machine *** work presents significant prospects for crafting advanced materials and devices in the fields of wearable electronics,flexible skin and smart robots.

A solution method for decomposing vector fields in Hamilton energy

Hamilton energy, which reflects the energy variation of systems, is one of the crucial instruments used to analyze the characteristics of dynamical systems. Here we propose a method to deduce Hamilton energy based on the existing systems. This derivation process consists of three steps: step 1, decomposing the vector field; step 2, solving the Hamilton energy function; and step 3, verifying uniqueness. In order to easily choose an appropriate decomposition method, we propose a classification criterion based on the form of system state variables, i.e., type-I vector fields that can be directly decomposed and type-II vector fields decomposed via exterior differentiation. Moreover, exterior differentiation is used to represent the curl of low-high dimension vector fields in the process of decomposition. Finally, we exemplify the Hamilton energy function of six classical systems and analyze the relationship between Hamilton energy and dynamic behavior. This solution provides a new approach for deducing the Hamilton energy function, especially in high-dimensional systems.
