Sorbitol-Electrolyte-Additive Based Reversible Zinc Electrochemistry

The unstable zinc(Zn)/electrolyte interfaces formed by undesired dendrites and parasitic side reactions greatly hinder the development of aqueous zinc ion ***,the hydroxy-rich sorbitol was used as an additive to reshape the solvation structure and modulate the interface *** strong interactions among sorbitol and both water molecules and Zn electrode can reduce the free water activity,optimize the solvation shell of water and Zn^(2+)ions,and regulate the formation of local water(H_(2)O)-poor environment on the surface of Zn electrode,which effectively inhibit the decomposition of water molecules,and thus,achieve the thermodynamically stable and highly reversible Zn *** a result,the assembled Zn/Zn symmetric cells with the sorbitol additive realized an excellent cycling life of 2000 h at 1 mA·cm^(-2)and 1 mAh·cm^(-2),and over 250 h at 5 ***^(-2)and 5 ***^(-2).Moreover,the Zn/Cu asymmetric cells with the sorbitol additive achieved a high Coulombic efficiency of 99.6%,obtaining a better performance than that with a pure 2 mol-L^(-1)ZnSO_(4)*** the constructed Zn/poly1,5-naphthalenediamine(PNDA)batteries could be stably discharged for 2300 cycles at 1 A g^(-1)with an excellent capacity retention *** result indicates that the addition of 1 mol-L^(-1)non-toxic sorbitol into a conventional ZnSO_(4)electrolyte can successfully protect the Zn anode interface by improving the electrochemical properties of Zn reversible deposition/decomposition,which greatly promotes its cycle performance,providing a new approach in future development of high performance aqueous Zn ion batteries.

Given its intriguing band structure and unique tunable bandgap,AB-stacked bilayer graphene has great potentials in the applications of high-end electronics,optoelectronics and *** epitaxial growth of AB-stacked single-crystal bilayer graphene films requires a strict AB-stacked lattice,identical orientations and seamless stitching of bilayer graphene ***,the particles inevitably present on the metal surface that produced during high temperature growth would induce random orientations,twisted stacking islands,and uncontrollable multilayers,which is a great challenge to ***,we propose a heat-resisting-box assisted strategy to produce nearly pure AB-stacked bilayer graphene single-crystal films on Cu/Ni(111)*** our technique,the particles on the Cu/Ni(111)surface are effectively eliminated,which greatly minimizes the occurrence of randomly twisted islands and uncontrollable *** as-grown AB-stacked bilayer graphene films show>99%alignment and>99%AB stacking *** work provides a promising method towards the growth of pure AB-stacked bilayer graphene single crystals and would accelerate its device applications.

Objective:To assess the risk of aristolochic acid(AA)-associated cancer in patients with AA nephropathy(AAN).Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on patients diagnosed with AAN at Peking University First Hospital from January 1997 to December ***-term surveillance and follow-up data were analyzed to investigate the influence of different factors on the prevalence of *** primary endpoint was the incidence of liver cancer,and the secondary endpoint was the incidence of urinary cancer during 1 year after taking AA-containing medication to ***:A total of 337 patients diagnosed with AAN were included in this *** the initiation of taking AA to the termination of follow-up,39 patients were diagnosed with *** cases of liver cancer were observed throughout the entire follow-up period,with urinary cancer being the predominant type(34/39,87.17%).Logistic regression analysis showed that age,follow-up period,and diabetes were potential risk factors,however,the dosage of the drug was not significantly associated with urinary ***:No cases of liver cancer were observed at the end of ***,a high prevalence of urinary cancer was observed in AAN *** a direct causality between AA and HCC is challenging.

Metallic zinc is an excellent anode material for Zn-ion batteries,but the growth of Zn dendrite severely hinders its practical ***,an efficient and economical cationic additive,poly dimethyl diallyl ammonium(PDDA) was reported,used in aqueous Zn-ion batteries electrolyte for stabilizing Zn *** growth of zinc dendrites can be significantly restrained by benefiting from the pronounced electrostatic shielding effect from PDDA on the Zn metal ***,the PDDA is preferentially absorbed on Zn(002) plane,thus preventing unwanted side reactions on Zn *** to the introduction of a certain amount of PDDA additive into the common ZnSO_(4)-based electrolyte,the cycle life of assembled Zn‖Zn cells(1 mA·cm^(-2) and 1 mAh·cm^(-2)) is prolonged to more than 1100 *** response to the perforation issue of Zn electrodes caused by PDDA additives,the problem can be solved by combining foamy copper with zinc *** real application,Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitors and MnO_(2)‖Zn cells were assembled,which exhibited excellent cycling stability with PDDA *** work provides a new solution and perspective to cope with the dendrite growth problem of Zn anode.

The reprogramming of parental epigenomes in human early embryos remains elusive. To what extent the characteristics of parental epigenomes are conserved between humans and mice is currently unknown. Here,we mapped parental haploid epigenomes using human parthenogenetic and androgenetic embryos. Human embryos have a larger portion of genome with parentally specific epigenetic states than mouse *** allelic patterns of epigenetic states for orthologous regions are not conserved between humans and mice. Nevertheless, it is conserved that maternal DNA methylation and paternal H3K27me3 are associated with the repression of two alleles in humans and mice. In addition, for DNA-methylation-dependent imprinting, we report 19 novel imprinted genes and their associated germline differentially methylated regions. Unlike in mice, H3K27me3-dependent imprinting is not observed in human early ***, allele-specific epigenomic reprogramming is different in humans and mice.

Wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)are important and energy-intensive municipal *** energy consumption and relatively low operating performance are major challenges from the perspective of carbon ***,water-energy nexus analysis and models for WWTPs have rarely been reported to *** this study,a cloud-model-based energy consumption analysis(CMECA)of a WWTP was conducted to explore the relationship between influent and energy consumption by clustering its influent’s *** principal component analysis(PCA)and K-means clustering were applied to classify the influent condition using water quality and volume *** energy consumption of the WWTP is divided into five standard evaluation levels,and its cloud digital characteristics(CDCs)were extracted according to bilateral constraints and golden ratio *** results showed that the energy consumption distribution gradually dispersed and deviated from the Gaussian distribution with decreased water concentration and *** days with high energy efficiency were extracted via the clustering method from the influent category of excessive energy consumption,represented by a compact-type energy consumption distribution curve to identify the influent conditions that affect the steady distribution of energy *** local WWTP has high energy consumption with 0.3613 kW·h·m^(-3)despite low influent concentration and volumes,across four consumption levels from low(I)to relatively high(IV),showing an unsatisfactory operation and management *** average oxygenation capacity,internal reflux ratio,and external reflux ratio during high energy efficiency days recognized by further clustering were obtained(0.2924-0.3703 kg O_(2)·m^(-3),1.9576-2.4787,and 0.6603-0.8361,respectively),which could be used as a guide for the days with low energy ***,this study offers a water-energy nexus analysis method to identify influent conditions with operational manageme
