Short-Term Responses of Nitrogen Mineralization and Microbial Community to Moisture Regimes in Greenhouse Vegetable Soils

Soil drying and wetting impose significant influences on soil nitrogen (N) dynamics and microbial communities. However, effects of drying-wetting cycles, while common in vegetable soils, especially under greenhouse conditions, have not been well studied. In this study, two greenhouse vegetable soils, which were collected from Xinji (XJ) and Hangzhou (HZ), China, were maintained at 30% and 75% water-holding capacity (WHC), or five cycles of 75% WHC followed by a 7-day dry-down to 30% WHC (DW). Soil inorganic N content increased during incubation. Net N mineralization (Nmin), microbial activity, and microbial biomass were significantly higher in the DW treatment than in the 30% and 75% WHC treatments. The higher water content (75% WHC) treatment had higher Nmin, microbial activity, and microbial biomass than the lower water content treatment (30% WHC). Multivariate analyses of community-level physiological profile (CLPP) and phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) data indicated that soil moisture regime had a significant effect on soil microbial community substrate utilization pattern and microbial community composition. The significant positive correlation between Nmin and microbial substrate utilization or PLFAs suggested that soil N mineralization had a close relationship with microbial community.

Sorption and Dissipation of Tetracyclines in Soils and Compost

Two agricultural soils were collected from Dahu and Pinchen counties and swine manure compost （SMC） from Pingtung County in Taiwan, China to investigate the sorption and dissipation of three tetracyclines （TCs）, i.e., oxytetracycline （OTC）, tetracycline （TC） and chlortetracycline （CTC）, in compost, soils and soil/compost mixtures with different organic carbon （OC） contents. There were seven treatments in total. TCs were most strongly adsorbed to SMC in all treatments due to the high OC content. When SMC was present in the soils, the sorption of TCs was significantly enhanced, which might be attributed to the increased OC content and CEC. The adsorption of TCs showed non-linear adsorption isotherms and fitted well to the Freundlich model. After 49 d of incubation at 25 ℃ in soils and soil/compost mixtures in the dark, TCs elapsed in all substrates, with the time required for 50% degradation （DT50） between 20 and 41 d, and the time for 90% degradation （DT90） between 68 and 137 d. Soil amended with compost enhanced the stability of TCs and reduced their mobility. The dissipation of TCs in a soil environment was slow, indicating that these compounds might be persistent in soil.

In recent times, there are two kinds of completely opposite viewpoints about the impacts of nitrate on human health. To further objectively understand the effects of nitrate on human health, both of harmfulness and possible benefits of nitrate to human body., it is discussed in this review from the aspects of nitrate accumulation in vegetables, the source of nitrate ingested into human body, and the transformation of nitrate in human body, as well as the pathogenesis and physiological functions of nitrate metabolism.

A hydroponic experiment was carried out to study the effect of elevated carbon dioxide(CO2) on root growth of tomato *** with the control(350 μL L-1),CO2 enrichment(800 μL L-1) significantly increased the dry matter of both shoot and root,the ratio of root to shoot,total root length,root surface area,root diameter,root volume,and root tip numbers,which are important for forming a strong root *** elevated CO2 treatment also significantly improved root hair development and elongation,thus enhancing nutrient *** indole acetic acid concentration in plant tissues and ethylene release in the elevated CO2 treatment might have resulted in root growth enhancement and root hair development and elongation.

Heuristic Expanding Disconnected Graph:A Rapid Path Planning Method for Mobile Robots

Existing mobile robots mostly use graph search algorithms for path planning,which suffer from relatively low planning efficiency owing to high redundancy and large computational *** to the limitations of the neighborhood search strategy,the robots could hardly obtain the most optimal global path.A global path planning algorithm,denoted as EDG*,is proposed by expanding nodes using a well-designed expanding disconnected graph operator(EDG)in this ***,all obstacles are marked and their corners are located through the map ***,the EDG operator is designed to find points in non-obstruction areas to complete the rapid expansion of disconnected ***,the EDG*heuristic iterative algorithm is *** selects the candidate node through a specific valuation function and realizes the node expansion while avoiding collision with a minimum *** planning experiments were conducted in a typical indoor environment and on the public dataset *** result shows that the proposed EDG*reduced the planning time by more than 90%and total length of paths reduced by more than 4.6%.Compared to A*,Dijkstra and JPS,EDG*does not show an exponential explosion effect in map *** EDG*showed better performance in terms of path smoothness,and collision *** shows that the EDG*algorithm proposed in this paper can improve the efficiency of path planning and enhance path quality.

Trifluoromethyl enable high-performance single-emitter white organic light-emitting devices based on quinazoline acceptor

Single-emitter white organic light-emitting diode(WOLED) based on small organic molecule exhibits great potential in simplifying fabrication process of WOLEDs. However, the design and synthesis of molecule for highly efficient single-emitter WOLED still remains a challenge. Herein, two asymmetric donor-acceptor-acceptor'(D-A-A') type molecule(PTZ-PQ-F and PTZ-PQ-CF3) are developed by employing trifluoromethyl(CF_(3)) or fluorine atom as secondary acceptor, which can exhibit white lighting with dual emission bands consisting of blue traditional fluorescence from quasi-axial(ax) conformer and orange thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) from quasi-equatorial(eq) conformer. The introduction of CF_(3) into PTZ-PQ-CF3 greatly enhanced the photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY) by suppressing the nonradiative deactivation. Owing to electron-inductive-effect of CF3, the “eq” conformer of PTZ-PQCF3 exhibits a much smaller ΔESTof 0.01 e V to realize more efficient reverse intersystem crossing(RISC)process, and then enhance the exciton utilization(nearly 100%) of the whole dual emission system. Consequently, single-emitter WOLEDs based on PTZ-PQ-CF3 show nearly standard white emission with EQE of 13.0% and CIE of(0.35, 0.36) in m CP host and show warm white emission with high EQE of 25.5%and CIE of(0.40, 0.47) in 35 Dcz PPy host, which are the best performance among reported single-emitter WOLEDs.

Recently, observational hints for supermassive black holes have been accumulating, prompting the question: Can primordial black holes（PBHs） be supermassive, particularly with masses M?10～9M⊙? A supercritical bubble,containing an inflating baby universe, that nucleated during inflation can evolve into a PBH in our observable universe. We find that when the inflaton slowly transitions past a neighboring vacuum, the nucleation rate of supercritical bubbles inevitably peaks, leading to a mass distribution of multiverse PBHs with a peak mass up to M?1011M⊙. Thus, our mechanism naturally provides a primordial origin for supermassive black holes.

OCTA characteristics in non-arteritic central retinal artery occlusion and correlation with visual acuity

AIM:To observe the retinal and choroidal circulations in patients with non-arteritic permanent central retinal artery occlusion(NA-CRAO)via optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)and analyze their correlation with visual ***:Sixty-two eyes with clinically confirmed acute NA-CRAO were included in the study and divided into:A type(mild n=29),B type(moderate n=27)and C type(severe n=6)based on the degree of visual loss,retinal edema,and arterial blood flow delay in fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA).Contralateral healthy eyes were used as the control ***-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),slit lamp microscopy,indirect ophthalmoscopy,fundus color photography,OCTA,and FFA were ***’s correlation analysis was used to determine the correlations between retinal and choroidal vessels and visual ***:There were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,and intraocular pressure among the three types and the control group(P>0.05).Vessel density in deep capillary plexus(VD-DCP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in all three types of NA-CRAO patients compared to the control *** density in superficial vascular plexus(VD-SVP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type A patients and choriocapillaris flow area significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type B and type C patients compared to the control group;while outer retinal flow areas significantly increased in the type A(P<0.05)and decreased in type C patients(P<0.05).The retinal thickness significantly increased in type C group(P<0.05).The VD-SVP at fovea in the type A was significantly lower than both of type B and *** VD-SVP at nasal parafovea in type A and B was significantly lower than type C(P<0.05).The logMAR BCVA of type A was significantly better than that of type B and C groups(P<0.05).Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the logMAR BCVA was positively correlated with VD-SVP at fovea(r=0.679,P=0.031)and nasal parafovea(r=0.826,P=0.013).CONCLUSION:OCTA is valua
