Distribution and influencing factors of microeukaryote in different water layers of the southwestern Indian Ocean Ridge

Microeukaryotes play a vital role in shaping marine ecosystems,especially in marine productivity,the microbial food web,and carbon *** Indian Ocean is one of the largest oligotrophic areas in the world,but little is known about the biodiversity of microeukaryotes in the *** community composition and geographical distribution of microeukaryotes collected from the surface(SUR)and deep chlorophyll maximum(DCM)layers in the southwestern Indian Ocean were studied using high-throughput sequencing of the 18S rRNA *** metagenomic data helped quantify the impact of environmental factors on microeukaryotic *** relative abundance of different taxa groups exhibited distinct patterns between SUR and DCM layers,except for the most dominant Dinoflagellata that accounted for more than 40.6%abundance in each *** was much more abundant in the nutrient-rich DCM layer than the SUR *** community similarity of microeukaryotes decreased with increasing of geographic distance,whereas the temperature and inorganic nitrogen were the most important environmental parameters to community *** communities were more influenced by dispersal limitations and rare communities were more responsive to environmental *** network analyses revealed strong biotic interactions indicative of parasitism,predation and competition,and their contribution to microeukaryotic population in diverse ***,this study provided insights into the biodiversity of microeukaryotes by characterizing the differences between water layers and identifying the driving factors in the ocean.

Local resistance characteristics of elbows for supercritical pressure RP-3 flowing in serpentine micro-tubes

Based on the demands of compact heat exchangers and micro cooling channels applied for aviation thermal protection on aero-engines,the elbow localﬂow resistance charac-teristics for supercritical pressure aviation fuel RP-3ﬂowing in adiabatic horizontal serpentine tubes with the inner diameter of 1.8 mm and the massﬂux of 1179 kg/(m^(2)·s)were experimen-tally *** long-short-tube method was used to obtain the elbow pressure drop from the total serpentine tube pressure drop,and the effects of system pressures(P/Pc=1.72-2.58)and geometry parameters including bend numbers(n=5-11),bend diameters(D/d=16.7-27.8),and bend distances(L/d=20-60)on elbow pressure drops and local resistance co-efﬁcients are analyzed on the basis of the thermal physical property *** results show that both the increase in the elbow pressure drop and the decrease in the local resistance coef-ﬁcient with temperatures speed up at the near pseudo-critical temperature region of T>*** the growth of the elbow local pressure drop could be inhibited by the increase of system pressures,while the local resistance coefﬁcient is slightly affected by *** inﬂuence of bend diameters on the local resistance coefﬁcient is mild when D/d is larger than 22.2 in the premise of fully developedﬂow in straight ***,a piecewise empir-ical correlation considering the bend diameter and physical property ratio is developed to pre-dict the elbow pressure drop of the serpentine tube and optimize the layout of the cooling tube system on aero-engines.

The shelterbelt is an indispensable barrier to the ecological and economic development of an *** moisture,groundwater and irrigation greatly affect the shelterbelt water consumption and *** this study,the transpiration rate of shelterbelt trees,soil moisture and meteorological data were collected to determine the effects of soil moisture and meteorological factors on the water consumption of different shelterbelt tree species via multivariate statistical *** results showed that the water consumption rate was positively correlated with solar radiation,air temperature and ***,the leaf transpiration rate exhibited the trend of *** Jabl.˃***˃*** Carr.>***,while the average daily water consumption decreased in the order of ***>*** Jabl.>*** Carr.>*** average daily water consumption levels of ***,*** Jabl.,*** *** *** were(9.15±0.92)kg/(tree∙d),(6.95±1.41)kg/(tree∙d),(4.43±1.32)kg/(tree∙d),and(1.58±0.18)kg/(tree∙d),*** the growing season,the soil water consumption levels of ***,*** Jabl.,*** Carr.,and *** in each shelterbelt tree stand reached 674.8,336.9,358.1 and 161.7 kg,*** than 96%of the soil moisture lost was provided by the upper 120-cm soil *** the influence and contribution of soil water and meteorological factors to shelterbelt water consumption is beneficial for shelterbelt management and protection.

Silicon(Si)has mild discharge potential and high theoretical capacity,making it a highly desirable material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Nevertheless,the excessive volume expansion,poor ion/electron conductiv ity and unstable solid electrolyte interface(SEI)hinde practical application to ***,the metallic antimony(Sb)stabilized porous Si(SiDSb)composite was prepared by magnesiothermic reduction of Sb_(2)O_(3)and Mg_(2)Si and chemical etching to remove the by-product of *** highly conductive Sb nanodots embedded in the Si liga ments promote not only the formation of conductive and stable LiF-rich SEI,but also the electron/ion transpor ability of *** to the outstanding bulk/interface stability,excellent conductivity,as well as ideal porous structure,the SiDSb electrode demonstrates a capacity of820 mAh·g^(-1)after undergoing 320 turns at 1000 mA·g^(-1).Additionally,it exhibits a stable capacity of 675 m Ah·g^(-1)when tested at a higher current density of 5000 m A·g^(-1).The results reveal a viable solution to solve three problems at the same time,namely the poor conductivity,inferior SEI and excessive volume expansion of Si,boding well for the design of Si-based materials for high-energy LIBs.

Highly Integrated Perovskite Solar Cells-Based Photorechargeable System with Excellent Photoelectric Conversion and Energy Storage Ability

Perovskite solar cells have emerged as a promising technology for renewable energy generation. However, the successful integration of perovskite solar cells with energy storage devices to establish high-efficiency and long-term stable photorechargeable systems remains a persistent challenge. Issues such as electrical mismatch and restricted integration levels contribute to elevated internal resistance, leading to suboptimal overall efficiency (ηoverall) within photorechargeable systems. Additionally, the compatibility of perovskite solar cells with electrolytes from energy storage devices poses another significant concern regarding their stability. To address these limitations, we demonstrate a highly integrated photorechargeable system that combines perovskite solar cells with a solid-state zinc-ion hybrid capacitor using a streamlined process. Our study employs a novel ultraviolet-cured ionogel electrolyte to prevent moisture-induced degradation of the perovskite layer in integrated photorechargeable system, enabling perovskite solar cells to achieve maximum power conversion efficiencies and facilitating the monolithic design of the system with minimal energy loss. By precisely matching voltages between the two modules and leveraging the superior energy storage efficiency, our integrated photorechargeable system achieves a remarkable ηoverallof 10.01%while maintaining excellent cycling stability.

Global analysis of basic leucine zipper transcription factors in trifoliate orange and the function identification of PtbZIP49 in salt tolerance

As one of the most widely distributed and highly conserved transcription factors in eukaryotes,basic leucine zipper proteins(bZIPs)are involved in a variety of biological processes in plants,but they are largely unknown in *** this study,56 bZIP family members were identified genome-wide from an important citrus rootstock,namely trifoliate orange(Poncirus trifoliata ***.),and these putative bZIPs were named PtbZIP1—*** PtbZIPs were classified into 13 subgroups by phylogenetic comparison with Arabidopsis thaliana bZIPs(AtbZIPs),and they were randomly distributed on nine known(50 genes)chromosomes and one unknown(6 genes)*** analysis revealed the detailed characteristics of PtPZIPs,including their amino acid length,isoelectric point(pI),molecular weight(MW),predicted subcellular localization,gene structure,and conserved *** of promoter elements suggested the presence of drought,low-temperature,wound,and defense and stress responsive elements,as well as multiple hormone-responsive cis-acting *** expression analysis showed the transcriptional patterns of PtbZIPs in different tissues and under dehydration,high salt,ABA,and IAA *** addition,21 PtbZIPs were predicted to have direct or indirect protein—protein *** these,PtbZIP49 was experimentally proven to interact with PtbZIP1 or PtbZIP11 by using a yeast two-hybrid assay and bimolecular fluorescence complementation(BiFC).Subcellular localization analysis further revealed that PtbZIP1,PtbZIP11,and PtbZIP49 were localized in the ***,PtbZIP49 was functionally identified as having an important role in salt stress via ectopic expression in *** and silenced in trifoliate orange using virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS).This study provided comprehensive information on PtbZIP transcription factors in citrus and highlights their potential functions in abiotic stress.

Establishment risk of invasive golden mussel in a water diversion project:An assessment framework

Inter-basin water diversion projects have led to accelerated colonization of aquatic organisms,including the freshwater golden mussel(Limnoperna fortunei),exacerbating global biofouling *** the influence of environmental factors on the mussel's invasion and biofouling impact has been studied,quantitative correlations and underlying mechanisms remain unclear,particularly in large-scale interbasin water diversion projects with diverse hydrodynamic and environmental ***,we examine the comprehensive impact of environmental variables on the establishment risk of the golden mussel in China's 1432-km-long Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion *** regression and multiclass classification models were used to investigate the environmental influence on the occurrence probability and reproductive density of the golden *** nitrogen,ammonia nitrogen,water temperature,pH,and velocity were identified as crucial environmental variables affecting the biofouling risk in the *** regression analysis revealed a negative correlation between the occurrence probability of all larval stages and levels of total nitrogen and ammonia *** multiclass classification model showed that elevated levels of total nitrogen hindered mussel reproduction,while optimal water temperature enhanced their reproductive *** velocity and pH levels were crucial in maintaining moderate larval *** research presents a quantitative analytical framework for assessing establishment risks associated with invasive mussels,and the framework is expected to enhance invasion management and mitigate biofouling issues in water diversion projects worldwide.

Streamflow abrupt change and the driving factors in glacierized basins of Tarim Basin,Northwest China

A climate transition towards warm-wet conditions in Northwest China has drawn much *** continuous climate change and universal glacier degradation,increasing water-related hazards and vulnerability have become one of the important problems facing the Tarim ***,the impacts of the climate transition on streamflow abrupt change and extreme hydrological events were less discussed,especially in glacial *** the present study,the discharge datasets in four glacial basins of Tarim Basin from 1979 to 2018 were constructed using the GRU-GSWAT+model *** differences in streamflow characteristics,the shift of hydrological extreme pattern,and potential changes of the controlling factors before and after the abrupt changes were *** results indicated that the abrupt change point(ACP)in streamflow occurred in 2000 in the Qarqan River Basin,2002 in the Weigan River Basin,and 1994 in the Aksu River Basin and the Yarkant River Basin.A general decrease in streamflow before the ACP has shifted to a notable upward trend in the Qarqan River Basin and the Aksu River Basin,while minor upward fluctuations were observed in other ***,the hydrological characteristics in extreme events vary dramatically before and after the ACPs,characterized by a pronouncing shift from drought-dominant pattern to wet events dominated *** driven climate factors have been altered after the ACPs with notable spatial heterogeneity,in which temperature remained as the dominant role in meltwater-dominated basins while the influence of precipitation has increased after the ACPs,whereas the sensitivity of temperature on streamflow change has been enhanced in basins dominated by precipitation such as the Qarqan River *** to the evident warming-wetting trend and glacier compensation effect,both the inter-annual and intra-annual streamflow fluctuations can be efficiently smoothed in basins with a high glacier area ratio(GAR).These findings provide a
