liver resection and transplantation are the most effective therapies for many hepatobiliary tumors and diseases.However,these surgical procedures are challenging due to the anatomic complexity and many anatomical variations of the vascular and biliary structures.Three-dimensional(3D)printing models can clearly locate and describe blood vessels,bile ducts and tumors,calculate both liver and residual liver volumes,and finally predict the functional status of the liver after resection surgery.The 3D printing models may be particularly helpful in the preoperative evaluation and surgical planning of especially complex liver resection and transplantation,allowing to possibly increase resectability rates and reduce postoperative complications.With the continuous developments of imaging techniques,such models are expected to become widely applied in clinical practice.

Atomic and close-to-atom scale manufacturing is a promising avenue toward single-photon emitters,single-electron transistors,single-atom memory,and quantum-bit devices for future communication,computation,and sensing applications.Laser manufacturing is outstanding to this end for ease of beam manipulation,batch production,and no requirement for photomasks.It is,however,suffering from optical diffraction limits.Herein,we report a spatial resolution improved to the quantum limit by exploiting a threshold tracing and lock-in method,whereby the two-order gap between atomic point defect complexes and optical diffraction limit is surpassed,and a feature size oflized.The underlying physics is that the uncertainty of local atom thermal motion dominates electron excitation,rather than the power density slope of the incident laser.We show that the colour centre yield in hexagonal boron nitride is transformed from stochastic to deterministic,and the emission from individual sites becomes polychromatic to monochromatic.As a result,single colour centres in the regular array are deterministically created with a unity yield and high positional accuracy,serving as a step forward for integrated quantum technological applications.

High-performance microwave absorption(MA) materials must be studied immediately since electromagnetic pollution has become a problem that cannot be disregarded. A straightforward composite material, comprising hollow MXene spheres loaded with C–Co frameworks, was prepared to develop multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs). A high impedance and suitable morphology were guaranteed by the C–Co exoskeleton, the attenuation ability was provided by the MWCNTs endoskeleton, and the material performance was greatly enhanced by the layered core–shell structure. When the thickness was only 2.04 mm, the effective absorption bandwidth was 5.67 GHz, and the minimum reflection loss(RLmin) was-70.70 d B. At a thickness of 1.861 mm, the sample calcined at 700 ℃ had a RLmin of-63.25 d B. All samples performed well with a reduced filler ratio of 15 wt%. This paper provides a method for making lightweight core–shell composite MA materials with magnetoelectric synergy.

Cutibacterium acnes in Atopic Dermatitis: Roles and Potential Therapeutic Applications

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic relapsing inflammatory skin disease. The main initiating mechanisms of AD are disruptions in the skin microbiota, dysfunction of the skin barrier, and predominantly elevated type 2 immune responses.Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes) is a commensal bacterium that is ubiquitous and predominant in healthy skin and shows intraspecific subtype diversity. The abundance ofC. acnes is closely related to the sebum secreted by sebaceous glands.C. acnes has long been considered a proinflammatory skin bacterium that drives the development of acne vulgaris. Growing evidence indicates thatC. acnes promotes skin microbiota homeostasis and skin barrier maintenance; however, the potential role ofC. acnes in AD remains largely unexamined. This review provides the latest information on the distribution ofC. acnes and its phylotypes in healthy skin and AD as well as an overview of the possible role ofC. acnes in the pathophysiological pathways underlying AD. Additionally, the review focuses on new evidence regarding the protective functions ofC. acnes and its metabolites in AD and discusses the potential for therapeutic applications.

Background:ATP-binding cassette transporter G1(ABCG1)regulates cellular cholesterol homeostasis and plays a significant role in tumor immunity.But,for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),the role of ABCG1 has not been investigated.Thus,the aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value and clinicopathological significance of ABCG1 in HCC.Methods:One hundred and four adult patients with HCC were enrolled,and ABCG1 expression in paired HCC specimens was determined by immunohistochemistry.All these patients were stratified by ABCG1 expression,Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to compare the overall survival(OS)and recurrence-free survival(RFS),and Cox regression analysis was used to determine independent predictors of tumor recurrence.Results:Upregulation of ABCG1 was observed in HCC samples compared to matched tumor-adjacent tissues.Patients with high nuclear ABCG1 expression had lower OS and RFS(P=0.012 and P=0.020,respectively).High nuclear ABCG1 expression was related to larger tumor size(P=0.004)and tumor recurrence(P=0.027).Although ABCG1 was expressed in the cytoplasm,cytosolic expression could not predict the outcome in patients with HCC.A new stratification pattern was established based on the heterogenous ABCG1 expression pattern:high risk(High^(nucleus)/Low^(cytosol)),moderate risk(High^(nucleus)/High^(cytosol) or Low^(nucleus)/Low^(cytosol)),and low risk(Low^(nucleus)/High^(cytosol)).This ABCG1-based risk stratification could distinguish the different OS and RFS in patients with HCC.Multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that ABCG1 high risk was an independent predictor of poor RFS(P=0.015).Conclusions:High nuclear ABCG1 expression indicates poor prognosis in patients with HCC.Asymmetric distribution of ABCG1 in the nucleus and cytoplasm may have an important role in tumor recurrence.

Reliable monitoring and thorough spatiotemporal prediction of meteorological drought are crucial for early warning and decision-making regarding drought-related disasters.The utilisation of multiscale methods is effective for a comprehensive evaluation of drought occurrence and progression,given the complex nature of meteorological drought.Nevertheless,the nonlinear spatiotemporal features of meteorological droughts,influenced by various climatological,physical and environmental factors,pose significant challenges to integrated prediction that considers multiple indicators and time scales.To address these constraints,we introduce an innovative deep learning framework based on the shifted window transformer,designed for executing spatiotemporal prediction of meteorological drought across multiple scales.We formulate four prediction indicators using the standardized precipitation index and the standard precipitation evaporation index as core methods for drought definition using the ERA5 reanalysis dataset.These indicators span time scales of approximately 30 d and one season.Short-term indicators capture more anomalous variations,whereas long-term indicators attain comparatively higher accuracy in predicting future trends.We focus on the East Asian region,notable for its diverse climate conditions and intricate terrains,to validate the model's efficacy in addressing the complexities of nonlinear spatiotemporal prediction.The model's performance is evaluated from diverse spatiotemporal viewpoints,and practical application values are analysed by representative drought events.Experimental results substantiate the effectiveness of our proposed model in providing accurate multiscale predictions and capturing the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of drought.Each of the four drought indicators accurately delineates specific facets of the meteorological drought trend.Moreover,three representative drought events,namely flash drought,sustained drought and severe drought,underscore the significance of selecting appropr

The real-time dynamic deformation monitoring of offshore platforms under environmental excitation is crucial to their safe operation.Although Global Navigation Satellite System-Precise Point Positioning(GNSS-PPP)has been considered for this purpose,its monitoring accuracy is relatively low.Moreover,the influence of background noise on the dynamic monitoring accuracy of GNSS-PPP remains unclear.Hence,it is imperative to further validate the feasibility of GNSS-PPP for deformation monitoring of offshore platforms.To address these concerns,vibration table tests with different amplitudes and frequencies are conducted.The results demonstrate that GNSS-PPP can effectively monitor horizontal vibration displacement as low as±30 mm,which is consistent with GNSS-RTK.Furthermore,the spectral characteristic of background noise in GNSS-PPP is similar to that of GNSS-RTK(Real Time Kinematic).Building on this observation,an improved Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise(CEEMDAN)has been proposed to de-noise the data and enhance the dynamic monitoring accuracy of GNSS-PPP.Field monitoring application research is also undertaken,successfully extracting and analyzing the dynamic deformation of an offshore platform structure under environmental excitation using GNSS-PPP monitoring in conjunction with improved CEEMDAN de-noising.By comparing the de-noised dynamic deformation trajectories of the offshore platform during different periods,it is observed that the platform exhibits reversible alternating vibration responses under environmental excitation,with more pronounced displacement deformation in the direction of load action.The research results confirm the feasibility and potential of GNSS-PPP for dynamic deformation monitoring of offshore platforms.

This paper presents an integrated control scheme for enhancing the ride comfort and handling performance of a four-wheel-independent-drive electric vehicle through the coordination of active suspension system(ASS)and anti-lock braking system(ABS).First,a longitudinal-vertical coupled vehicle dynamics model is established by integrating a road input model.Then the coupling mechanisms between longitudinal and vertical vehicle dynamics are analyzed.An ASS-ABS integrated control system is proposed,utilizing an H∞controller for ASS to optimize load transfer effect and a neural network sliding mode control for ABS implementation.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is evaluated through comprehensive tests conducted on a hardware-in-loop(HIL)test platform.The HIL test results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme can significantly improve the braking performance and ride comfort compared to conventional ABS control methods.

Effect of FeSi additive in dual-chamber sample cup on thermal analysis characteristic values and vermiculating rate of compacted graphite iron

Thermal analysis plays a key role in the online inspection of molten iron quality.Different solidification process of molten iron can be reflected by thermal analysis curves,and silicon is one of important elements affecting the solidification of molten iron.In this study,FeSi75 was added in one chamber of the dual-chamber sample cup,and the influences of FeSi75 additive on the characteristic values of thermal analysis curves and vermiculating rate were investigated.The results show that with the increase of FeSi75,the start temperature of austenite formation TALfirstly decreases and then increases,but the start temperature of eutectic growth TSEF,the lowest eutectic temperature TEU,temperature at maximum eutectic reaction rate TEM,and highest eutectic temperature TERkeep always an increase.The temperature at final solidification point TEShas little change.The FeSi75 additive has different influences on the vermiculating rate of molten iron with different vermiculation,and the vermiculating rate increases for lower vermiculation molten iron while decreases for higher one.According to the thermal analysis curves obtained by a dual-chamber sample cup with 0.30wt.%FeSi75 additive in one chamber,the vermiculating rate of molten iron can be evaluated by comparing the characteristic values of these curves.The time differenceΔtERcorresponding to the highest eutectic temperature TERhas a closer relationship with the vermiculating rate,and a parabolic regression curve between the time differenceΔtERand vermiculating rateηhas been obtained within the range of 65%to 95%,which is suitable for the qualified melt.
