Investigation of E-H mode transition in magnetic-pole-enhanced inductively coupled neon-argon mixture plasma

In this paper,E-H mode transition in magnetic-pole-enhanced inductively coupled neon-argon mixture plasma is investigated in terms of fundamental plasma parameters as a function of argon fraction(0%-100%),operating pressure(1 Pa,5 Pa,10 Pa and 50 Pa),and radio frequency(RF)power(5-100 W).An RF compensated Langmuir probe and optical emission spectroscopy are used for the diagnostics of the plasma under *** to the lower ionization potential and higher collision cross-section of argon,when its fraction in the discharge is increased,the mode transition occurs at lower RF power;*** 0%argon and1 Pa pressure,the threshold power of the E-H mode transition is 65 W,which reduces to 20 W when the argon fraction is *** electron density increases with the argon fraction at afixed pressure,whereas the temperature decreases with the argon *** relaxation length of the low-energy electrons increases,and decreases for high-energy electrons with argon fraction,due to the Ramseur ***,the relaxation length of both groups of electrons decreases with pressure due to reduction in the mean free *** electron energy probability function(EEPF)profiles are non-Maxwellian in E-mode,attributable to the nonlocal electron kinetics in this mode;however,they evolve to Maxwellian distribution when the discharge transforms to H-mode due to lower electron temperature and higher electron density in *** tail of the measured EEPFs is found to deplete in both E-and H-modes when the argon fraction in the discharge is increased,because argon has a much lower excitation potential(11.5 eV)than neon(16.6 eV).

Analysis of Classical Encryption Techniques in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing has become a significant computing model in the IT industry. In this emerging model,computing resources such as software, hardware, networking, and storage can be accessed anywhere in the world on a pay-per-use basis. However, storing sensitive data on un-trusted servers is a challenging issue for this model. To guarantee confidentiality and proper access control of outsourced sensitive data, classical encryption techniques are used. However, such access control schemes are not feasible in cloud computing because of their lack of flexibility, scalability, and fine-grained access control. Instead, Attribute-Based Encryption（ABE） techniques are used in the cloud. This paper extensively surveys all ABE schemes and creates a comparison table for the key criteria for these schemes in cloud applications.

Weed control through allelopathic crop water extracts and S-metolachlor in cotton

Weeds are one of the most important biological constraint to cotton production,and result-ing in a yield losses of up to 90%.The evolution of hundreds of resistant weed species,the lack of new herbicide chemistries,and the increase in weed management costs are all mak-ing weed management more arduous for the ***,a field experiment was con-ducted to investigate the efficacy of allelopathic crop water extracts(ACWEs)alone and in combinaton with one third rate of S-metolachlor 717g ***-1for effective weed man-agement in *** treatments investigated were;weedy check,sorghum+brassica water extract(WE)at 1.5Lha 1,sorghum+sunflower WE at 1.5Lha-,sorghum+bras-sica+sunflower WE at 1.5Lha-1,sorghum+brassica WE at 15L ha-1+S-metolachlor at 717 g ***-l,sorghum+sunflower WE at 1.5L ha-1+S-metolachlor at 717 g ***-1,sor-ghum+brassica WE+sunflower WE at 1.5Lha-1+S-metolachlor at 717 gaiha-,and S-metolachlor at recommended rate of 2.15 kg *** revealed that pre-emergent application of sorghum+brassica water extract(WE)at 1.5L ha-1 was the best treatment in terms of effective dry biomass reduction(40%)of Trianthema portulacastrum and Cyperus rotundus,and increase in seed cotton yield(12%).The second best treatment was sorghum+sunflower WE at 1.5Lha-1+S-metolachlor at 717g ***-1 with yield increase of 11%over the weedy *** comparison,S-metolachlor at recommended rate 2.15kg ***-1 recorded only 4%decrease in weeds dry biomass reduction and 8%increase in seed cotton ***,it can be predicted that binary combinaton of sorghum and brassica WE at 1.5 Lha-1 or binary combination of sorghum+sunflower WE at 15Lha-1 with one third dose of S-metolachlor (717g aiha-l)can be used for effective weed management and increase in seed cotton ***,adoption of this technique will also reduce the herbicide application,which is not only benefcial for the ecosystem but,also minimize the evolution of herbicide-resistant weed species.

Adjuvant effects of saponins on animal immune responses

Vaccines require optimal adjuvants including immunopotentiator and delivery systems to offer long term protection from infectious diseases in animals and man. Initially it was believed that adjuvants are responsible for promoting strong and sustainable antibody responses. Now it has been shown that adjuvants influence the isotype and avidity of antibody and also affect the properties of cell-mediated immunity. Mostly oil emulsions, lipopolysaccharides, polymers, saponins, liposomes, cytokines, ISCOMs (immunostimulating complexes), Freund’s complete adjuvant, Freund’s incomplete adjuvant, alums, bacterial toxins etc., are common adjuvants under investigation. Saponin based adjuvants have the ability to stimulate the cell mediated immune system as well as to enhance antibody production and have the advantage that only a low dose is needed for adjuvant activity. In the present study the importance of adjuvants, their role and the effect of saponin in immune system is reviewed.

Floristic composition and ecological gradient analyses of the Liakot Forests in the Kalam region of District Swat,Pakistan

Kalam Kohistan is a dry,temperate hilly region in the Hindu Raj Series of the Greater Hindu Kush Mountains with diverse *** plant distribution and composition is expression of a range of various environmental variables,ecological and floristic attributes of vegetation in the Laikot Forests were therefore evaluated via consecutive explorative *** forests have not been evaluated ecologically before due to harsh climatic conditions and issues of accessibility and the study in hand is one of the first in its *** ecological techniques were used to sample forest vegetation and identify species in quadrats of 2 m×2 m for herbs,5 m×5 m for shrubs and 10 m×10 m for *** the data of 195 plant species and environmental factors were analyzed via Two-way Cluster Analysis and Canonical Correspondence Analysis using PCORD and CANOCO *** 195 plant species from 63 families were 27 species of Asteraceae,the most-speciose family,followed by Poaceae(20 spp.).The dominant life form was therophyte(86 spp.;44%share),followed by phanerophyte(41 spp.;21%share).For the leaf size spectrum,most prevalent was nanophyll(73 spp.;44%)followed by microphyll(66 spp.,34%)and mesophyll(44 spp.;23%).Calcium carbonate,pH,potassium,sand,silt,organic matter,slope aspect and grazing significantly influenced species composition,distribution and *** floristic variation in the region was diverse due to elevational and aspect gradients and thus devided into three *** vegetation zonation can be utilized for forest management,species and habitat *** in situ and ex situ conservation of threatened plant species may improve their conservation status in future if address properly.

Mathematical study of fractional-order biological population model using optimal homotopy asymptotic method

In this paper, we study the fractional-order biological population models （FI3PMs） with Malthusian~ Verhulst, and porous media laws. The fractional derivative is defined in Caputo sense. The optimal homotopy asymptotic method （OHAM） for partial differ- ential equations （PDEs） is extended and successfully implemented to solve FBPMs. Third-order approximate solutions are obtained and compared with the exact solutions. The numerical results unveil that the proposed extension in the OHAM for fractional- order differential problems is very effective and simple in computation. The results reveal the effectiveness with high accuracy and extremely efficient to handle most complicated biological population models.

Velocity and Structural Modeling of Mesozoic Chiltan Limestone and Goru Formation for Hydrocarbon Evaluation in the Bitrisim Area, Lower Indus Basin, Pakistan

The present study focuses on building a workflow for structural interpretation and velocity modeling and implementing to Jurassic-Cretaceous succession （Chiltan Limestone and Massive sand of the Lower Goru Formation）. 2D-Migrated seismic sections of the area are used as data set and in order to confirm the presence of hydrocarbons in the study area, P and S-wave seismic velocities are estimated from single-component seismic data. Some specific issues in the use of seismic data for modeling and hydrocarbon evaluation need to deal with including distinguishing the reservoir and cap rocks, and the effects of faults, folds and presence of hydrocarbons on these rocks. This study has carried out the structural interpretation and modeling of the seismic data for the identification of traps. The results demonstrate existence of appropriate structural traps in the form of horst and grabens in the area. 2D and 3D velocity modeling of the horizons indicates the presence of high velocity zones in the eastern half of the study while relatively low velocity zones are encountered in the western half of the area. Two wells were drilled in the study area （i.e. Fateh-01 and Ichhri-01） and both are dry. Immature hydrocarbons migration is considered as a failure reason for Fateh-01 and Ichhri-01 well.

Analysis of fish meat using gas chromatography is *** is the sensation arising from the interplay of the signals of sensing smell, taste and irritating stimuli from food *** human, flavor and nutrition are *** fish, trace amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are the major compounds to affect consumer’s preference, which are produced during storage and *** the present study, volatile compounds were extracted by Likens-Nickerson concurrent distillation apparatus from wild and farmed Cirrhina mrigala and Cyprinus carpio. The quantitative and qualitative estimation of volatiles was made by gas *** and farmed fish of different fish sizes were compared for these compounds (appearing in the form of peaks), which were identified from their retention time by comparing with the *** major VOCs were found in these species which included hexadecane, 3-octanol, hexanal, decane, 3-hexene-1-ol, 2-undecanone, 2-heptanone, butanal, 2-nonanone, 1-heptanal, furaldehyde, 3-methyl-1-butanal, trans-3-hexene-1-ol, octanal and *** compounds varied qualitatively and quantitatively in both wild and farmed fish of different fish sizes.

Study of cellulolytic soil fungi and two nova species and new medium

This study is aimed at identifying and determining the percentage of occurrence frequency of cellulose decomposing soil fungi. The soil samples were inoculated into culture plates prepared in Sabouraud medium under sterilized conditions and incubated at 30 ℃ for 4 to 7 d. The identified fungal species were incubated in self-designed cellulose medium for testing their cellulolytic ability. Forty-two species, including2 nova species, representing sixteen genera showed growth and sporulation in the cellulose medium. Most of the isolated species were from genus Aspergillus and Penicillium. Aspergillus niger and Mucor hiemalis showed highest occurrence frequency （45% and 36% respectively）, as these species were collected from about 80% of soil samples. Being agar free and cheaper, the new fungal medium designed showed results equivalent to Sabouraud medium.
