Impacts of Water-Sediment Regulation Scheme on Chromophoric Dissolved Organic Matter in the Lower Yellow River

As a river with more than 3000 reservoirs in its watershed,the Yellow River has been affected by dams not only on the sediment load,but also on the water ***-sediment regulation scheme(WSRS),which has been carried out annually in the Yellow River since 2002,is a typical human activity affecting river water *** dissolved organic matter(CDOM)in river is susceptible to changes in ecological and environmental conditions as well as human ***,we report variations in dissolved organic carbon concentrations,compositions and sources of CDOM in time series samples in the lower Yellow River during *** addition,a parallel factor fluorescence analysis(PARAFAC)method is applied to identify different fluorescent components in water samples during WRSR,showing four major components including tryptophan-like component(C1),microbial humic-like component(C2),terrestrial humic-like component(C3)and tyrosine-like component(C4).In general,C1 increased after water regulation,while C2 and C3 increased after sediment regulation,indicating that the water and sediment released by the dam have different effects on CDOM *** the impacts of the dam,source of CDOM in the lower Yellow River is mainly autochthonous related to microbial activities,and is regulated by the terrestrial input during WSRS *** resuspension inhibits microbial activities and reduces the production of autochthonous ***,human activities especially WSRS,as exemplified here,significantly alter the quality and quantity of CDOM in the lower Yellow River,affecting CDOM dynamics and biogeochemical processes in the estuarine environment.

Existence and asymptotics of normalized solutions for the logarithmic Schrödinger system

This paper is concerned with the following logarithmic Schrodinger system:{-Δu_(1)+ω_(1)u_(1)=u_(1)u_(1)logu_(1)^(2)+2p/p+q|u_(2)|^(q)|u_(1)|^(p-2)u_(1),-Δu_(2)+ω_(2)u_(2)=u_(2)u_(2)log u_(2)^(2)+2q/p+q|u_(1)|^(p)|u_(2)|^(q-2)u_(2),∫_(Ω)|u_(i)|^(2)dx=ρ_(i),i=1,2,(u_(1),u_(2))∈H_(0)^(1)(Ω;R^(2)),where Ω=R^(N)or Ω■R^(N)(N≥3)is a bounded smooth domain,andω_(i)R,μ_(i),ρ_(i)>0 for i=1,***,p,q≥1,and 2≤p+q≤2^(*),where 2^(*):=2N/*** using a Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality and a careful estimation of u log u^(2),firstly,we provide a unified proof of the existence of the normalized ground state solution for all 2≤p+q≤2^(*).Secondly,we consider the stability of normalized ground state ***,we analyze the behavior of solutions for the Sobolev-subcritical case and pass to the limit as the exponent p+q approaches 2^(*).Notably,the uncertainty of the sign of u log u^(2)in(0,+∞)is one of the difficulties of this paper,and also one of the motivations we are interested *** particular,we can establish the existence of positive normalized ground state solutions for the Brézis-Nirenberg type problem with logarithmic perturbations(i.e.,p+q=2^(*)).In addition,our study includes proving the existence of solutions to the logarithmic type Bréis-Nirenberg problem with and without the L^(2)-*** ∫_(Ω)|u_(i)|^(2)dx=ρ_(i)(i=1,2)by two different methods,*** results seem to be the first result of the normalized solution of the coupled nonlinear Schrodinger system with logarithmic perturbations.

Electrocatalytic oxygen reduction(ORR)via the 2e−pathway to form H_(2)O_(2) in acidic medium has attracted extensive ***,the low activity,insufficient selectivity and high cost of catalysts have been the ***,CoSe_(2) with abundant Se deficiency was synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method,and the addition of NaBH4-induced CoSe_(2) phase transition from orthorhombic to cubic phase with more Se *** cubic phase CoSe_(2) with abundant Se deficiency can effectively regulate the surface electronic structure with suitable binding energies of*OOH and*O,which shows high activity,selectivity and long-term stability for acidic ORR to H_(2)O_(2).The onset potential is as low as 0.73 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE),the H_(2)O_(2) selectivity is 84%(0 V ***),and the average electron transfer number is about ***,the H_(2)O_(2) yield measured using a flow cell is as high as 115.92 mmol·gcat.^(−1)·h^(−1) and the Faradaic efficiency is 70%at 0 V ***,which presents high potential in electrocatalytic acidic ORR to H_(2)O_(2) and organic pollutant degradation using the electron-Fenton process.

Experimental and numerical investigation of the impacts of rotor tip-rake on excitation forces of pump-jet propulsors

The tip-clearance flow in a pump-jet propulsor exerts great impacts on the fluctuating pressures and resultant unsteady forces,which are important sources of structural vibrations and radiated noise *** blade geometry close to the tip is an important factor determining the vortex strength in the tip-clearance *** the open-water condition,the effects of raking the rotor tips on the duct-surface fluctuating pressures and the resultant unsteady forces acting on different components of the propulsor are investigated via physical model experiments and the numerical solution of Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)equations coupled with the SST k-ωturbulence *** measured and simulated results of hydrodynamic pressures are consistent to each other,and the simulated flows help better understand why the fluctuating pressures change with the tip *** strong fluctuations of duct-surface pressures are caused by intensive tip separation *** duct-surface pressure fluctuations are effectively reduced by using the rake distribution near the tip towards blade back side and,for the combination of the five-bladed rotor and the seven-bladed stator,the resultant unsteady horizontal(and vertical)forces acting on the duct and stator are also reduced;while increasing rake leads to negative effect on pressure fluctuations and unsteady horizontal(and vertical)forces acting on all the components of the propulsor.

Income inequality is widespread in human society and has important implications for human ***’s perception of the environment bridges income inequality and individual behavioral *** research suggests that social income inequality is usually biased,either overestimated or ***,such phenomena have not been fully explored with quantitive prove,especially in the working environment based on performance data of actual *** fact,the correct perception of people is the basis of a fair environment for their production ***,the perception bias may weaken the adaptability and competitiveness of a company in the *** paper first confirms the prevalence of individual perception bias of income inequality within the working environment based on actual production *** results show that people tend to underestimate income inequity around them,and this underestimation grows with the real unfairness of the working ***,this paper proposes a network generation-based framework with a three-layer structure to correct perception bias using a cooperative network reengineering *** the framework,a homophily-based generative network model is proposed as the key *** simulation results show that our proposed framework effectively reduces individuals’perception bias of income inequality.

High-pressure chemistry has provided a huge boost to the development of scientific ***-induced emission(PIE)in halide perovskites is gradually showing its unique charm in both pressure sensing and optoelectronic device ***,the PIE retention of halide perovskites under ambient conditions is of great commercial ***,we mainly focus on the potential applications of PIE and PIE retention in metal halide perovskites for scintillators and solid-state *** on the performance requirements of scintillator and single-component white light-emitting diodes(WLEDs),the significance of PIE and PIE retention is critically clarified,aiming to design and synthesize materials used for high-performance optoelectronic *** perspective not only demonstrates promising applications of PIE in the fields of scintillators and WLEDs,but also provides potential applications in display imaging and anti-counterfeiting of PIE ***,solving the scientific disputes that exist under ambient conditions is also simply discussed as an outlook by introducing high-pressure dimension to produce PIE.

The homogenous growth of Co-based coordination compound on graphene nanosheet for high-performance K-organic battery and its reaction mechanism

Metal coordination compounds(MCCs)are gaining popularity for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)owing to their tuneable structure,multiple reaction sites,low cost and unique ***,they are generally subjected to intrinsic features of the sluggish ionic diffusion coefficient,low electronic conductivity and slow ***,a new MCC material of cobalt-1,3,5-trioxy-2,4,6-triamino-benzo(Co-TB)coordination compound was synthesized and homogenously grown on the surface of graphene nanosheets(GNS),forming a Co-TB@GNS composite with enhanced electronic conductivity and flexible *** from the overall enhanced conductivity,high surface area and abundant activated K-storage sites,Co-TB@GNS electrodes have exhibited superior cycling performance with high reversible capacities(312 mAh·g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 100 mA·g^(-1),224 mAh·g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1))and better rate performances compared with the pure Co-TB compound when served as PIB's ***,multiple in-situ measurement techniques have jointly confirmed that the organic functional groups(C=O,C=N and C=C of benzene rings)and Co^(2+)in Co-TB are the main reversible K-storage sites,including in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray diffraction(XRD),and partial capacity contribution is originated from GNS by the apparent K-storage behavior in the in-situ XRD pattern,proving the possibility of K-storage for metal-organic materials.

Facile semisynthesis of histone H3 enables nucleosome probes for investigation of histone H3K79 modifications

Histone H3K79 modifications are essential to regulate chromatin structure and gene transcription, but understanding of the molecular mechanisms is limited. Because H3K79 is at globular domain, short histone peptide cannot mimic H3K79 in chromatin. Instead, reconstituted nucleosome-based chemical tools are ideally used to investigate H3K79 modifications. In consequence, H3K79-modified histone H3 with additional chemical handles are required, but such synthesis is challenging and laborious. Here we report a facile semisynthesis method that enables multifunctional histone H3 readily available. H3K79-containing fragment is short for straight peptide synthesis that was later ligated to recombinant expressed H3 fragments for full-length product in large scale. As a result, nucleosomes with H3K79 modifications as well as photo-reactive group and affinity tag were obtained to investigate potential binding proteins. We believe this method that enhances synthetic accessibility of nucleosome probes will accelerate understanding of the underexplored H3K79 modifications.

Structural and magnetic properties of micropolycrystalline cobalt thin films fabricated by direct current magnetron sputtering

Pure cobalt(Co)thin films were fabricated by direct current magnetron sputtering,and the effects of sputtering power and pres-sure on the microstructure and electromagnetic properties of the films were *** the sputtering power increases from 15 to 60 W,the Co thin films transition from an amorphous to a polycrystalline state,accompanied by an increase in the intercrystal pore ***,the resistivity decreases from 276 to 99μΩ·cm,coercivity increases from 162 to 293 Oe,and in-plane magnetic aniso-tropy *** the sputtering pressure decreases from 1.6 to 0.2 Pa,grain size significantly increases,resistivity significantly de-creases,and the coercivity significantly increases(from 67 to 280 Oe),which can be attributed to the increase in defect ***-pondingly,a quantitative model for the coercivity of Co thin films was *** polycrystalline films sputtered under pressures of 0.2 and 0.4 Pa exhibit significant in-plane magnetic anisotropy,which is primarily attributable to increased microstress.
