Catch organism assemblages along artificial reefs area and adjacent waters in Haizhou Bay

To better understand the community patterns mediated by connectivity in artificial reefs of coastal areas, it is necessary to understand the distribution and coexistence of organisms with artificial reefs area and adjacent waters. This study was conducted to examine main catches assemblages collected by trawls in Haizhou Bay,which included five habitats: the artificial reef area(AR), aquaculture area(AA), natural area(NA), estuary area(EA) and comprehensive effect area(CEA). The result shows that the total abundances of species in the five habitats were highly different(univariate PERMANOVA: P = 0.001, n = 24), but some species were also unique in their habitat(e.g. Scapharca subcrenata and glossaulax didyma in AA). The body size distribution of specific species between habitats are different. For Collichthys lucidus, their body size in AR(14.63 cm ± 1.64 cm) and EA(14.3 cm ± 0.85 cm) is higher than that in NA(10.65 cm ± 1.64 cm), CEA(11.28 cm ± 1.85 cm) and AA(12.1 cm ±0.43 cm), which indicates the potential connection from AR to EA mediated by their adult population. We concluded that artificial reefs in AR can be considered key components that have the ability to support species assemblages in adjacent habitats. This study has implications for the conservation and monitoring of species assemblages in coastal areas in terms of that artificial reefs can be applied in different stages of habitat protection implementation and in different combinations of scenarios.

Aircraft Observation and Simulation of the Supercooled Liquid Water Layer in a Warm Conveyor Belt over North China

This paper studied a snow event over North China on 21 February 2017,using aircraft in-situ data,a Lagrangian analysis tool,and WRF simulations with different microphysical schemes to investigate the supercooled layer of warm conveyor belts(WCBs).Based on the aircraft data,we found a fine vertical structure within clouds in the WCB and highlighted a 1-2 km thin supercooled liquid water layer with a maximum Liquid Water Content(LWC) exceeding0.5 g kg^(-1) during the vertical aircraft *** the main features of thermodynamic profiles were essentially captured by both modeling schemes,the microphysical quantities exhibited large diversity with different microphysics *** conventional Morrison two-moment scheme showed remarkable agreement with in-situ observations,both in terms of the thermodynamic structure and the supercooled liquid water ***,the microphysical structure of the WCB clouds,in terms of LWC and IWC,was not apparent in HUJI fast bin *** reduce such uncertainty,future work may focus on improving the representation of microphysics in bin schemes with in-situ data and using similar assumptions for all schemes to isolate the impact of physics.

The homogenous growth of Co-based coordination compound on graphene nanosheet for high-performance K-organic battery and its reaction mechanism

Metal coordination compounds(MCCs)are gaining popularity for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)owing to their tuneable structure,multiple reaction sites,low cost and unique ***,they are generally subjected to intrinsic features of the sluggish ionic diffusion coefficient,low electronic conductivity and slow ***,a new MCC material of cobalt-1,3,5-trioxy-2,4,6-triamino-benzo(Co-TB)coordination compound was synthesized and homogenously grown on the surface of graphene nanosheets(gNS),forming a Co-TB@gNS composite with enhanced electronic conductivity and flexible *** from the overall enhanced conductivity,high surface area and abundant activated K-storage sites,Co-TB@gNS electrodes have exhibited superior cycling performance with high reversible capacities(312 mAh·g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 100 mA·g^(-1),224 mAh·g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1))and better rate performances compared with the pure Co-TB compound when served as PIB's ***,multiple in-situ measurement techniques have jointly confirmed that the organic functional groups(C=O,C=N and C=C of benzene rings)and Co^(2+)in Co-TB are the main reversible K-storage sites,including in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray diffraction(XRD),and partial capacity contribution is originated from gNS by the apparent K-storage behavior in the in-situ XRD pattern,proving the possibility of K-storage for metal-organic materials.

Physical property improvement of fluid shortening using peanut oil-based diacylglycerols and their applications in sponge cake

Fluid shortening is an important ingredient in the production of sponge cake. Peanut oil with 0, 43% and 85% of diacylglycerol content was used as the base oil. Different emulsifiers, such as glycerol monostearate, soy lecithin and sucrose ester, and their respective amounts, were investigated. It was found that the addition of emulsifiers had a positive effect on water-absorbing capacity, air-absorbing capacity and viscosity of the oils. glycerol monostearate was the preferred emulsifier for fluid shortening with a recommended addition of 1.5%. The effects of different diacylglycerol content on fluid shortening and their impact on sponge cake production was also investigated. The onset oxidation temperature of the oil could be increased from 253.21 ℃ for PO-TAg-based fluid shortening to 263.70 ℃ for PO-DAg85-based fluid shortening. And the increase in diacylglycerol content leading to a lower specific gravity of the batter, which was 1.06 g/mL, 1.02 g/mL and 0.98 g/mL prepared by PO-DAg, PO-DAg43 and PO-DAg85 shortening, respectively. The results showed that diacylglycerols can be used as base oils in fluid shortening to improve the crystal network and stability of fluid shortenings, thereby reducing the specific gravity of the batter and improving the structural properties of the cake. This will extend the potential applications of diacylglycerols and increase the variety of base oils available for fluid shortening preparation.

A breathable, designable and flexible leather–heater used in wearable thermotherapy

Flexible heaters with personal thermal management capabilities have great potential in thermal therapy applications due to their excellent flexibility, low power consumption, and portability. However, manufacturing wearable heating devices that are breathable, wear resistant and conformal for long-term use is still challenging. To address these issues, we designed a leather heater using breathable, biocompatible, and tailorable leather as the substrate through a simple in-situ polymerization polypyrrole strategy. This heater exhibits excellent heating and mechanical properties(reaching 64℃ at a voltage of 5 V with efficient Joule heat generation of 2286 W/m^(2)and uniform temperature distribution, and functioning properly after 1000 cycles of bendability tests). In addition, this heater displays better wear resistance and water vapor permeability rate(38.04 g/(m^(2)h)). The cuttable and sewable of leather gives the strategy ability to be flexibly designed to mold the heater to the specific requirements of different body parts, providing a new approach to wearable thermal therapy.

The design and synthesis of novel photocatalyst with self-temperature control function is an important topic in the field of advanced environmental functional *** this work,submicron-sized magnetic phase change microcapsules composed of paraffin core and Fe_(3)O_(4)-loaded silica shell are prepared,on which the Bi_(2)WO_(6)crystals is grown in situ through hydrothermal reaction to obtain novel magnetic phase-change-microcapsule-supported Bi_(2)WO_(6)catalyst(MP@FS/BWO).The MP@FS/BWO has a paraffin encapsulation ratio of 57.1%,and the phase change enthalpy of 105.1 J/g in a temperature range of 50–60℃,which endows the MP@FS/BWO with a certain self-temperature regulation ***@FS/BWO shows excellent catalytic performance in the decomposition of rhodamine B under the simulated sunlight *** the light source is turned off,it still has good catalytic ability by maintaining high temperature due to its temperature control function based on the phase transition *** MP@FS/BWO can be easily recycled by magnetic separation and shows good structural stability and *** work provides a new idea for the development of long-effect and energy-saving outdoor photocatalysts.

为了探究煮制压力和保压时间对鸡肉肌原纤维蛋白结构的影响,本研究以鸡胸肉为主要原料,选择常压、微压(4 kPa)、高压(70 kPa)煮制15~35 min,研究煮制过程中肌原纤维蛋白羰基含量、巯基含量、微观结构和蛋白二级结构的变化。结果表明,随着保压时间的延长,羰基含量呈现上升趋势,常压、微压、高压煮制羰基含量分别增加了1.22倍、1.38倍、1.19倍,巯基含量呈下降趋势,常压、微压、高压煮制巯基含量分别减少了29.6%、29.8%、31.4%;随着保压时间的延长,肌原纤维蛋白二级结构中β-折叠含量和无规则卷曲含量增加,α-螺旋含量降低;对鸡胸肉蛋白结构的破坏程度为高压>微压>常压。本研究结果为酱卤鸡肉预制产品的生产提供数据参考和技术支持。

Synergistically enhanced dielectric, insulating and thermally conductive performances of sandwich PMMA based dielectric films

A tri-layered(B-g-B) dielectric films were simply prepared by alternatively spin-coating boron nitride/polymethylmethacrylate(BN/PMMA, B) and graphene nanosheets(gNS/PMMA, g) compound solutions. The structure, morphology, thermal conductivity, and particularly the dielectric and relaxation behaviors were systematically studied. Results showed that a good exfoliation and dispersion of BN and gNS can be simply achieved through intensive mechanical compounding with PMMA in the internal mixer. The dielectric constant and breakdown strength of the obtained 1-3-1(B-g-B) sandwich composite film reached 4.3(@1 kHz) and 458.6kV/mm, being 119 % and 113 % higher than that of pure PMMA, respectively. Furthermore, the overall thermal conductivity of sandwich 1-3-1 composite increased by 112 % due to the addition of thermally conductive BN and gNS. The sandwich design strategy provided an effective way of achieving good permittivity, high insulation, and improved thermal conductivity simultaneously, showing potential applications in the miniaturization and integration of electronic devices.
