Clinical analysis of multiple primary gastrointestinal malignant tumors:A 10-year case review of a single-center

Response of carbohydrate metabolism-mediated sink strength to auxin in shoot tips of apple plants

Auxin(indole-3-acetic acid, IAA) has a considerable impact on the regulation of plant carbohydrate levels and growth, but the mechanism by which it regulates sugar levels in plants has received little attention. In this study, we found that exogenous IAA altered fructose(Fru), glucose(Glc), and sucrose(Suc) concentrations in shoot tips mainly by regulating MdSUSY1, MdFRK2, MdHxK1 and MdSDH2 transcript levels. Additionally, we used 5-year-old ’Royal Gala’ apple trees to further verify that these genes play primary roles in regulating sink strength. The results showed that MdSUSY1, MdFRK2, MdHxK1/3 and MdSDH2 might be major contributors to sink strength regulation. Taken together, these results provide new insight into the regulation of the carbohydrate metabolism mechanism, which will be helpful for regulating sink strength and yield.

Application of total keratometry in ten intraocular lens power calculation formulas in highly myopic eyes

Background:The accuracy of using total keratometry(TK)value in recent IOL power calculation formulas in highly myopic eyes remained ***:Highly myopic patients who underwent uneventful cataract surgery were prospectively enrolled in this prospective comparative *** one month postoperatively,standard deviation(SD)of the prediction errors(PEs),mean and median absolute error(MedAE)of 103 highly myopic eyes were back-calculated and compared among ten formulas,including XGboost,RBF 3.0,Kane,Barrett Universal II,Emmetropia Verifying Optical 2.0,Cooke K6,Haigis,SRK/T,and Wang-Koch modifications of Haigis and SRK/T formulas,using either TK or standard keratometry(K)***:In highly myopic eyes,despite good agreement between TK and K(P>0.05),larger differences between the two were associated with smaller central corneal thickness(P0.05),which both presented smaller MedAEs than others(all P0.05),and statistically larger percentages than the other eight formulas(P<0.05).Conclusions:Highly myopic eyes with thinner corneas tend to have larger differences between TK and *** XGboost enhancement calculator and RBF 3.0 formula using TK showed the most promising outcomes in highly myopic eyes.

Small tracking error correction for moving targets of intelligent electro-optical detection systems

Small tracking error correction for electro-optical systems is essential to improve the tracking precision of future mechanical and defense *** threats,such as“low,slow,and small(LSS)”moving targets,pose increasing challenges to *** core goal of this work is to address the issues,such as small tracking error correction and aiming control,of electro-optical detection systems by using mechatronics drive modeling,composite velocity–image stability control,and improved interpolation filter design.A tracking controller delay prediction method for moving targets is proposed based on the Euler transformation model of a two-axis,two-gimbal cantilever beam coaxial *** tracking error formation is analyzed in detail to reveal the scientific mechanism of composite control between the tracking controller’s feedback and the motor’s velocity–stability *** improved segmental interpolation filtering algorithm is established by combining line of sight(LOS)position correction and multivariable typical tracking fault ***,a platform with 2 degrees of freedom is used to test the *** LSS moving target shooting object with a tracking distance of S=100 m,target board area of A=1 m^(2),and target linear velocity of v=5 m/s is *** show that the optimal method’s distribution probability of the tracking error in a circle with a radius of 1 mrad is 66.7%,and that of the traditional method is 41.6%.Compared with the LOS shooting accuracy of the traditional method,the LOS shooting accuracy of the optimized method is improved by 37.6%.

Structure and expression analysis of the sucrose synthase gene family in apple

Sucrose synthases(SUS) are a family of enzymes that play pivotal roles in carbon partitioning, sink strength and plant development. A total of 11 SUS genes have been identified in the genome of Malus domestica(Md SUSs), and phylogenetic analysis revealed that the Md SUS genes were divided into three groups, named as SUS I, SUS II and SUS III, respectively. The SUS I and SUS III groups included four homologs each, whereas the SUS II group contained three homologs. SUS genes in the same group showed similar structural characteristics, such as exon number, size and length distribution. After assessing four different tissues, Md SUS1 s and Md SUS2.1 showed the highest expression in fruit, whereas Md SUS2.2/2.3 and Md SUS3 s exhibit the highest expression in shoot tips. Most Md SUSs showed decreased expression during fruit development, similar to SUS enzyme activity, but both Md SUS2.1 and Md SUS1.4 displayed opposite expression profiles. These results suggest that different Md SUS genes might play distinct roles in the sink-source sugar cycle and sugar utilization in apple sink tissues.

Random Terpolymer Based on Simple Siloxane-functionalized Thiophene Unit Enabling High-performance Non-fullerene Organic Solar Cells

Incorporation of siloxane-functionalized units into polymers backbone has proven to be an efficient strategy to improve photovoltaic performance. In this work, a low-cost siloxane-containing unit was developed to construct a series of terpolymers, and the effects of siloxane on the polymer performance were systematically studied. Different contents of thiophene containing siloxane-functionalized side chain were introduced into PM6 to obtain a series of polymers(PM6, PM6-SiO-10, PM6-SiO-20 and PM6-SiO-30). The siloxane-functionalized side chains in polymers have only a slight effect on the absorption behavior and frontier molecular orbitals. However, when the siloxane content increased, the terpolymers' aggregation property decreased and the temperature-dependency increased, leading to improved donor-acceptor compatibility. The power conversion efficiency(PCE) based on PM6:Y6, PM6-SiO-20:Y6 and PM6-SiO-30:Y6 devices was 15.64%, 16.03% and 15.82%, respectively. In comparison, the active layer based on PM6-SiO-10:Y6 exhibits the most appropriate phase separation morphology, resulting in effective exciton dissociation, more balanced hole-electron transport and less recombination. Consequently, the highest PCE of 16.69% with an outstanding shortcircuit current density of 26.96 mA·cm^(-2) was obtained, which are one of the highest values for siloxane-functionalized polymer-based *** work demonstrates that finely controlling the content of siloxane-functionalized thiophene is beneficial for obtaining high-performance terpolymer donors and provides a novel and low-cost method to improve photovoltaic performance.

Optimal AP Deployment in Cell-Free Massive MIMO Systems with LoS/NLoS Transmissions:A Stochastic Geometry Approach

Cell-free massive multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO)is a promising technology for future wireless communications,where a large number of distributed access points(APs)simultaneously serve all users over the same time-frequency *** users and APs may locate close to each other,the line-of-sight(Lo S)transmission occurs more frequently in cell-free massive MIMO ***,in this paper,we investigate the cell-free massive MIMO system with Lo S and non-line-of-sight(NLo S)transmissions,where APs and users are both distributed according to Poisson point *** tools from stochastic geometry,we derive a tight lower bound for the user downlink achievable rate and we further obtain the energy efficiency(EE)by considering the power consumption on downlink payload transmissions and circuitry *** on the analysis,the optimal AP density and AP antenna number that maximize the EE are *** is found that compared with the previous work that only considers NLo S transmissions,the actual optimal AP density should be much smaller,and the maximized EE is actually much higher.

Sucrose phosphate synthase(SPS)is a rate-limiting enzyme that works in conjunction with sucrose-6-phosphate phosphatase(SPP)for sucrose synthesis,and it plays an essential role in energy provisioning during growth and development in plants as well as improving fruit ***,studies on the systematic analysis and evolutionary pattern of the SPS gene family in apple are still *** the present study,a total of seven MdSPS and four MdSPP genes were identified from the Malus domestica genome GDDH13 *** gene structures and their promoter cis-elements,protein conserved motifs,subcellular localizations,physiological functions and biochemical properties were analyzed.A chromosomal location and gene-duplication analysis demonstrated that whole-genome duplication(WGD)and segmental duplication played vital roles in MdSPS gene family *** Ka/Ks ratio of pairwise MdSPS genes indicated that the members of this family have undergone strong purifying selection during ***,three SPS gene subfamilies were classified based on phylogenetic relationships,and old gene duplications and significantly divergent evolutionary rates were observed among the SPS gene *** addition,a major gene related to sucrose accumulation(MdSPSA2.3)was identified according to the highly consistent trends in the changes of its expression in four apple varieties(‘Golden Delicious’,‘Fuji’,‘Qinguan’and‘Honeycrisp’)and the correlation between gene expression and soluble sugar content during fruit ***,the virus-induced silencing of MdSPSA2.3 confirmed its function in sucrose accumulation in apple *** present study lays a theoretical foundation for better clarifying the biological functions of the MdSPS genes during apple fruit development.
