Fabrication of single atom catalysts(SACs)by a green and gentle method is important for their practical Fenton-like *** this work,a high effective iron-based catalyst was prepared from the iron-rich Enteromorpha for NPX degradation via peroxymonosulfate(PMS).Both Fe-SACs and iron-clusters was fabricated from the intrinsic iron element in Enteromorpha after the urea *** Fe-SACs/clusters can achieve 100%of NPX oxidation within 20 min with the k_(obs)of 0.282 min^(-1).Quenching tests indicated that the radical pathways were not dominated in the catalytic systems,and strong electron transfer process can be induced in the Fe-SACs/clusters+PMS system by using the NPX as electron donor and FeSACs/clusters/PMS^*complexes as electron *** result was consistent with the phenomenon observed in the galvanic oxidation *** addition,the Fe-SACs/clusters was deposited onto the ceramic membrane(CM)by the spraying-crosslinking process to form a Fe-SACs/clusters@CM,which showed an effective and continuous NPX degradation in a heterogeneous PMS system.

More than 600,000 people are diagnosed with esophageal cancer(EC)every year globally,and the five-year survival rate of EC is less than 20%.Two common histological subtypes of EC,esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)and esophageal adenocarcinoma(EAC),have great geographical variations in incidence *** half of the world’s EC was diagnosed in China and a majority of which belong to ***,the overall incidence rate of EC is *** some high-risk Asian regions,such as China,the incidence rate of ESCC has generally declined,potentially due to economic growth and improvement of diet *** some European high-income countries and the United States,the decline is mainly attributed to the decrease in smoking and *** risk factors of EC are not well understood,and the importance of environmental and genetic factors in the pathogenesis is also *** incidence and mortality of advanced EC can be reduced through early diagnosis and *** light endoscopy is still the gold standard in the current screening *** article reviews the epidemiology,risk factors,and screening strategies of EC in recent years to help researchers determine the most effective management strategies to reduce the risk of EC.

Microstructure Modification and Ductility Improvement for TaMoNbZrTiAl Refractory High Entropy Alloys via Increasing Ti Content

Here, the composition of TaMoNbZrTiAl refractory high entropy alloy (RHEA) is optimized by increasing Ti content to improve its mechanical property especially the ductility, through comparing two RHEAs with different Ti content. The RHEAs contain two body-centered-cubic (BCC) phases. The BCC phase in the dendritic region is rich in Ta, Mo and Nb, and the BCC phase in the interdendritic region is enriched in Zr, Ti and Al. The as-cast RHEA with a higher Ti content remains dendritic microstructures, and Ti is mainly enriched in the interdendritic region. After annealing treatment at 1300 ℃ for 48 h, the dendritic microstructures change into equiaxed-grain morphology, accompanied by needle-like micron precipitates at grain boundaries in the RHEA with higher Ti content. For the as-cast RHEAs, the fracture strain increases by ~ 6.6% and the uniform plastic strain increases by ~ 5.9% at the compression test due to the increase of Ti content. Our work offers a reference for the composition design of RHEAs and makes a preliminary exploration of the optimization of the microstructures and mechanical properties.

Edible plant derived exosome-like nanoparticles(ELNs)have been shown to have multiple nutraceutical ***,the diversity of plant materials makes the plant derived ELN study *** efforts are still needed to explore the feasible isolation methods of edible plant derived ELNs and the possible roles of food-derived ELNs in improving human *** this study,a size exclusion chromatography based method was compared with the traditional ultracentrifugation method to isolate blueberry derived ELNs(B-ELNs),and the miRNA profile of B-ELNs was analyzed by high-throughput sequencing.A total of 36 miRNAs were found to be enriched in B-ELNs compared with berry tissue,and their potential cross-kingdom human gene targets were further *** showed that size exclusion chromatography was effective for B-ELN *** most abundant miRNAs in B-ELNs mainly belonged to the miR166 family and miR396 *** gene prediction indicated that B-ELNs could potentially regulate pathways related to the human digestive system,immune system and infectious diseases.

Instability characteristics of a co-rotating wingtip vortex pair based on bi-global linear stability analysis

The Stereo Particle Image Velocimetry(SPIV)technology is applied to measure the wingtip vortices generated by the up-down symmetrical split ***,the temporal biglobal Linear Stability Analysis(bi-global LSA)is performed on this nearly equal-strength corotating vortex pair,which is composed of an upper vortex(vortex-u)and a down vortex(vortex-d).The results show that the instability eigenvalue spectrum illustrated by(ωr,ω_(i))contains two types of branches:discrete branch and continuous *** discrete branch contains the primary branches of vortex-u and vortex-d,the secondary branch of vortex-d and coupled branch,of which all of the eigenvalues are located in the unstable half-plane ofω_(i)>0,indicating that the wingtip vortex pair is temporally *** contrast,the eigenvalues of the continuous branch are concentrated on the half-plane ofω_(i)<0 and the perturbation modes correspond to the freestream *** the primary branches of vortex-u and vortex-d,Mode P_(u) and Mode Pd are the primary perturbation modes,which exhibit the structures enclosed with azimuthal wavenumber m and radial wavenumber n,***,the results of stability curves for vortex-u and vortex-d demonstrate that the instability growth rates of vortex-u are larger than those of vortex-d,and the perturbation energy of Mode P_(u) is also larger than that of Mode ***,the perturbation energy of Mode P_(u) is up to 0.02650 and accounts for 33.56%percent in the corresponding branch,thereby indicating that the instability development of wingtip vortex is dominated by Mode P_(u).By further investigating the topological structures of Mode P_(u) and Mode Pd with streamwise wavenumbers,the most unstable perturbation mode with a large azimuthal wavenumber of m=5-6 is identified,which imposes on the entire core region of *** large azimuthal wavenumber perturbation mode can suggest the potential physical-based flow control strategy by manipulating it.
