One-dimensional nanowire is an important candidate for lead-halide perovskite-based photonic detectors and solar cells. Its surface population, diameter, and growth direction, etc., are critical for device performance. In this research,we carried out a detailed study on electron transfer process at the interface of nanowire CH_(3) NH_(3) PbI_(3)(N-MAPbI_(3))/Phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl-ester synonym(PCBM), as well as the interface of compact CH_(3) NH_(3) PbI_(3)(C-MAPbI_(3))/PCBM by transient absorption spectroscopy. By comparing the carrier recombination dynamics of N-MAPbI_(3), N-MAPbI_(3)/PCBM,C-MAPbI_(3), and C-MAPbI_(3)/PCBM from picosecond(ps) to hundred nanosecond(ns) time scale, it is demonstrated that electron transfer at N-MAPbI_(3)/PCBM interface is less efficient than that at C-MAPbI_(3)/PCBM interface. In addition, electron transfer efficiency at C-MAPbI_(3)/PCBM interface was found to be excitation density-dependent, and it reduces with photo-generation carrier concentration increasing in a range from 1.0 × 1018 cm^(-3)–4.0 × 1018 cm^(-3). Hot electron transfer,which leads to acceleration of electron transfer between the interfaces, was also visualized as carrier concentration increases from 1.0 × 10^(18) cm^(-3)–2.2 × 10^(18) cm^(-3).

As pesticide residues in bayberry has raised serious concern from the public in China, a monitoring survey was carried out during 2013–2014 and 157 samples were analyzed in total. Twenty-three pesticides were detected among the 44 pesticides analyzed and at least one pesticide was detected in 63% of 99 samples. Whereas 45.6% of samples were found with two or more pesticide residues, and 23.6% of samples with four or more pesticide residues. Probabilistic risk assessments indicated that estimated daily intake（EDI） of cyhalothrin at the P97.5th percentile level is 1.11 times larger than the acceptable daily intake（ADI） for children, the estimated short-term intake（ESTI） at the P97.5th percentile level is 1.9 and 1.78 times larger than the acute reference dose（ARf D） for adult and children, respectively, indicating the potential risk concern from pyrethroids. EDI of the pesticides with anti-androgenic effects ranged from 0.15–2.46 of ADI, the probability of exposure exceeding the ADI was 7.1 and 31.1% for adults and children, respectively, the probability of exposure of pyrethroids exceeding the ADI was 3.8% for children. Exposures for other pesticides and groups were below 1.0. Because the co-occurrence of frequency of cyhalothrin and cypermethrin was 9.55%, the combinations of pesticides detected with anti-androgenic effects has not been found in the present monitoring, the results indicate that the pesticide residues in bayberry will not constitute serious public health risk, however, they are significant for the management of pesticide use on bayberry and dietary health risk in China.

This work reveals the significant effects of cobalt(Co)on the microstructure and impact toughness of as-quenched highstrength steels by experimental characterizations and thermo-kinetic *** results show that the Co-bearing steel exhibits finer blocks and a lower ductile-brittle transition temperature than the steel without ***,the Co-bearing steel reveals higher transformation rates at the intermediate stage with bainite volume fraction ranging from around 0.1 to *** improved impact toughness of the Co-bearing steel results from the higher dense block boundaries dominated by the V1/V2 variant ***,the addition of Co induces a larger transformation driving force and a lower bainite start temperature(BS),thereby contributing to the refinement of blocks and the increase of the V1/V2 variant *** findings would be instructive for the composition,microstructure design,and property optimization of high-strength steels.

Monoclonal antibodies(mAbs) are widely used in virus research and disease diagnosis. The nucleoprotein(NP) of influenza A virus(IAV) plays important roles in multiple stages of the virus life cycle. Therefore, generating conserved mAbs against NP and characterizing their properties will provide useful tools for IAV research. In this study, two mAbs against the NP protein, 10 E9 and 3 F3, were generated with recombinant truncated NP proteins(NP-1 and NP-2) as immunogens. The heavy-chain subclass of both 10 E9 and 3 F3 was determined to be IgG2α, and the light-chain type was κ. Truncation and site-specific mutation analyses showed that the epitopes of mAbs 10 E9 and 3 F3 were located in the N terminal 84–89 amino acids and the C terminal 320–324 amino acids of the NP protein, respectively. We found that mAbs 10 E9 and 3 F3 reacted well with the NP protein of H1–H15 subtypes of IAV. Both 10 E9 and 3 F3 can be used in immunoprecipitation assay, and 10 E9 was also successfully applied in confocal microscopy. Furthermore, we found that the 10 E9-recognized _(84) SAGKDP_(89) epitope and 3 F3-recognized 320 ENPAH324 epitope were highly conserved in NP among all avian and human IAVs. Thus, the two mAbs we developed could be used as powerful tools in the development of diagnostic methods of IAV, and also surely promote the basic research in understanding the replication mechanisms of IAV.

The behavior of single-phase flow and conjugate heat transfer in micro-channel heat sinks(MCHS)subjected to auniform heat flux is investigated by means of numerical *** geometrical configurations areexamined,particularly,the combinations of rectangular solid and perforated blocks,used to create a disturbancein the *** analysis focuses on several key aspects and related metrics,including the temperature distribution,the mean Fanning friction factor,the pressure drop,the Nusselt number,and the overall heat transfer coefficientacross a range of Reynolds numbers(80–870).It is shown that the introduction of such blocks significantlyenhances the heat transfer performances of the MCHS compared to the straight-through flow ***,a case is found where the Nusselt number increases by 2.3 times relative to the reference *** integrationof perforated blocks facilitates the generation of vorticity within the channel,promoting the mixing of coldand hot ***,MCHS incorporating perforated rectangular blocks exhibit more pronounced heat transferbenefits at Reynolds numbers smaller than 400.

Background Morphologic imaging after radiofrequency ablation （RFA） of liver metastases is hampered by an inflammatory response in the ablation margin, making the identification of local tumor progression （LTP） difficult. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of early ^18F-FDG PET/CT scanning to monitor the effectiveness of RFA in colorectal liver metastases. Methods Twelve patients with 20 metastases were treated with RFA for colorectal liver metastases. They underwent PET/CT within 2 weeks before RFA and within 24 hours after RFA （so termed ＂early PET/CT＂）. PET/CT was repeated at 1, 3, and 6 months, and then every 6 months after ablation. The standard of reference was based on available clinical and radiological follow-up data. Results Early PET/CT revealed total photopenia in 16 RFA-treated metastases, which were found to be without residual tumor on the final PET/CT scan. Three RFA-treated metastases with focal uptake were identified as local tumor progression, which necessitated further treatment. One RFA-treated metastasis with rim-shaped uptake was regarded as inflammation. The results of the early PET/CT scanning were consistent with the findings of the final follow-up. Conclusions PET/CT performed within 24 hours after RFA can effectively detect whether residual tumor exists for colorectal cancer liver metastases. The results can guide further treatment, and may improve the efficacy of RFA.

AIM:To explore the role of actin-bundling protein, fascin during the progression of pancreatic cancer. METHODS:The plasmid expressing human fascin-1 was stably transfected into the pancreatic cancer cell line MIA PaCa-2. The proliferation, cell cycle, motility, scattering, invasiveness and organization of the actin filament system in fascin-transfected MIA PaCa-2 cells and control non-transfected cells were determined. RESULTS:Heterogeneous overexpression of fascin markedly enhanced the motility, scattering, and inva-siveness of MIA PaCa-2 cells. However, overexpression of fascin had minimal effect on MIA PaCa-2 cell pro-liferation and cell cycle. In addition, cell morphology and organization of the actin filament system were distinctly altered in fascin overexpressed cells. When transplanted into BALB/c-nu mice, fascin-transfected pancreatic cancer cells developed solid tumors at a slightly slower rate, but these tumors displayed more aggressive behavior in comparison with control tumors. CONCLUSION: Fascin promotes pancreatic cancer cell migration, invasion and scattering, thus contributes to the aggressive behavior of pancreatic cancer cells.
