Study on High-Performance Computing for Simulation of End Milling Force

Milling Process Simulation is one of the important re search areas in manufacturing science. For the purpose of improving the prec ision of simulation and extending its usability, numerical algorithm is more and more used in the milling modeling areas. But simulative efficiency is decreasin g with increase of its complexity. As a result, application of the method is lim ited. Aimed at above question, high-efficient algorithm for milling process sim ulation is studied. It is important for milling process simulation’s applicatio n. Parallel computing is widely used to solve the large-scale computation question s. Its advantages include system flexibility, robust, high-efficient computing capability and high ratio of performance to price. With the development of compu ter network, utilizing the computing resource in the Internet, a virtual computi ng environment with powerful computing capability can be consisted by microc omputers, and the difficulty of building hardware environment which is used to s upport parallel computing is reduced. How to use network technology and parallel algorithm to improve simulative effic iency for milling forces simulation is investigated in the paper. In order to pr edict milling forces, a simplified local milling forces model is used in the pap er. End milling cutter is assumed to be divided by r number of differential elem ents along the axial direction of the cutter. For a given time, the total cuttin g forces can be obtained by summarizing the resultant cutting force produced by each differential cutter disc. Divide the whole simulative time into some segmen ts, send these program’s segments to microcomputers in the Internet and obtain the result of the program’s segments, all of the result of program’s segments a re composed the final result. Influence of efflux pump inhibitors on the multidrug resistance of Helicobacter pylori

AIM:To evaluate the effect of efflux pump inhibitors (EPIs) on multidrug resistance of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori).METHODS: H. pylori strains were isolated and cultured on Brucella agar plates with 10% sheep's blood. The multidrug resistant (MDR) H. pylori were obtained with the inducer chloramphenicol by repeated doubling of the concentration until no colony was seen, then the susceptibilities of the MDR strains and their parents to 9 antibiotics were assessed with agar dilution tests. The present study included periods before and after the advent of the EPIs, carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenyl hydrazone (CCCP), reserpine and pantoprazole), and the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) were determined accordingly. In the same way, the effects of 5 proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), used in treatment of H. pylori infection, on MICs of antibiotics were ***: Four strains of MDR H. pylori were induced successfully, and the antibiotic susceptibilities of MDR strains were partly restored by CCCP and pantoprazole, but there was little effect of reserpine. Rabeprazole was the most effective of the 5 PPIs which could decrease the MICs of antibiotics for MDR H. pylori ***: In vitro, some EPIs can strengthen the activities of different antibiotics which are the putative substrates of the efflux pump system in H. pylori.

gaN/Pb(Zr_(0.53) Ti_(0.47))O_(3) structures have been fabricated by light radiation heating low-pressure metal-organic chemical deposition and pulsed laser deposition. These structures show leakage current lower than 10-11 A at applied voltage of 5 V. X-ray diffraction shows that ferroelectric Pb(Zr_(0.53) Ti_(0.47))O_(3) films directly on gaN are well crystallized with perovskite structure. Because of the high thermal stability and relatively smaller mismatch between gaN and ferroelectrics in comparison with that of Si/ferroelectric structures, gaN looks like more promising as semiconductor active layer for metal-ferroelectric-semiconductor field effect transistors.

Clinical outcome of treating intractable hematospermia using holmium laser incision through a ureteroscope

Aconventional procedure for treating hematospermia is to insert a ureteroscope or seminal vesiculoscope into the prostatic utr/de through the urethra, and then dilate the ejaculatory duct opening using the scope or the catheter. However, the ejaculatory duct stenosis may occur after the simple ureteroscopy. We compared the outcomes of treating hematospermia using holmium laser incision through a ureteroscope and using simple ureteroscopy. Retrospective method was used to analyze 67 intractable hematospermia cases. Varying degrees of ejaculatory duct stenosis or obstruction were observed in all the patients. Postoperative follow-up was conducted for 6 months up to 3 years. Two patients who underwent the simple ureteroscopy experienced hematospermia recurrence in 6 and 8 months, respectively. No recurrence was found in all the patients who underwent the holmium laser incision. We have found that the holmium laser incision through a ureteroscope shows a better outcome than the simple ureteroscop~

Diurnal brooding behavior of long-tailed tits （Aegithalos caudatus glaucogularis）

Brooding is a major breeding investment of parental birds during the early nestling stage, and has important effects on the development and survival of nestlings. Investigating brooding behavior can help to understand avian breeding investment strategies. From January to June in 2013 and 2014, we studied the brooding behaviors of long-tailed tits （Aegithalos caudatus glaucogularis） in Dongzhai National Nature Reserve, Henan Province, China. We analyzed the relationships between parental diurnal brooding duration and nestling age, brood size, temperature, relative breeding season, time of day and nestling frequencies during brooding duration. Results showed that female and male long-tailed tit parents had different breeding investment strategies during the early nestling stage. Female parents bore most of the brooding investment, while male parents performed most of the nestling feedings. In addition, helpers were not found to brood nestlings at the two cooperative breeding nests. Parental brooding duration was significantly associated with the food delivered to nestlings （F=86.10, dr=l, 193.94, P〈0.001）, and was longer when the nestlings received more food. We found that parental brooding duration declined significantly as nestlings aged （F=5.99, dr=-1, 50.13, P=0.018）. When nestlings were six days old, daytime parental brooding almost ceased, implying that long- tailed tit nestlings might be able to maintain their own body temperature by this age. In addition, brooding duration was affected by both brood size （F=12.74, dr=-1,32.08, P=0.001） and temperature （F=5.83, df=-l, 39.59, P=-0.021）, with it being shorter in larger broods and when ambient temperature was higher.
