The use of redox-active organic electrode materials in energy storage is restricted due to their inferior solvent resistance,abysmal conductivity,and the resultant low practical *** address these issues,a class of bipolar p-phenylenediimidazole-based small-molecule compounds are designed and ***π-conjugated backbone of these small molecules allows for electron delocalization on a big conjugation plane,endowing them with good conductivity and reaction ***,when the para-positions of phenylene are occupied by hydroxyl groups,as-formed intramolecular hydrogen bonds(N-H...O)between phenolic hydroxyl groups and the–NH groups of imidazole rings further enhance the structural planarity,resulting in higherπ-conjugation degree and better conductivity,and thus higher utilization of active sites and electrode capacity,proved by both experimental results and theoretical *** optimized composite electrode DBNQ@rGO-45 shows a high specific capacity(∼308 mA h g^(−1)at 100 mA g^(−1))and a long cycling stability(112.9 mA h g^(−1)after 6000 cycles at 2.00 mA g^(−1)).The significantly better electrochemical properties for hydroxyl group-containing compounds than those without hydroxyl groups attributed to intramolecular hydrogen bond-induced conjugation enhancement will inspire the structure design of organic electrodes for better energy storage.

Testing against second-order stochastic dominance of multiple distributions

Second-order stochastic dominance plays an important role in reliability and various branches of economics such as finance and decision-making under risk, and statistical testing for the stochastic dominance is often useful in practice. In this paper, we present a test of stochastic equality under the constraint of second-order stochastic dominance based on the theory of empirical processes. The asymptotic distribution of the test statistic is obtained, and a simple method to compute the critical value is derived. Simulation results and real data examples are presented to illustrate the proposed test method.

Creep mechanism of as-cast Mg-6Al-6Nd alloy

The creep mechanism of as-cast Mg-6A1-6Nd alloy was studied. The stress exponent for creep is 5.8 under the applied stresses of 50-70 MPa at 175℃. The activation energy for creep is 189 ***^-1 under the applied stress of 70 MPa in the range of 150-2.0℃. The true stress exponent and threshold stress for creep are calculated as 4.96 and 10.2.MPa, respectively. The true stress exponent indicates that its creep mechanism belongs to the dislocation climb-controlled creep, which is in agreement with the microstructure changes before and after creep. The high value for stress exponent is attributed to the interaction of Al11Nd3 phase with dislocations. The activation energy is more than the self-diffusion activation energy of Mg, which is attributed to the load transfer taking place from the matrix to Al11Nd3 phase during creep.

A New Treatment of Depression for Drainage Network Extraction Based on DEM

Depressions in landscapes function as buffers for water and sediment. A landscape with depressions has less runoff, less erosion and more sedimentation than that without depressions. Sinks in digital elevation models （DEMs） can be considered the real features that represent depressions in actual landscapes or spurious features that result from errors in DEM creation. In many hydrological and erosion models, all sinks are considered as spurious features and, as a result, these models do not deal with the sinks that represent real depressions. Consequently, the surface runoff and erosion are overestimated due to removing the depressions. Aiming at this problem, this paper presents a new method, which deal with the sinks that represent real depressions. The drainage network is extracted without changing the original DEM. The method includes four steps： detecting pits, detecting depressions, merging depressions, and extracting drainage network. Because the elevations of grid cells are not changed, the method can also avoid producing new fiat areas, which are always produced by the conventional filling methods. The proposed method was applied to the Xihanshui River basin, the upper reach of the Jialingjiang River basin, china, to automatically extract the drainage network based on DEM. The extracted drainage network agrees well with the reality and can be used for further hydrologic analysis and erosion estimation.

Scientific knowledge about the ancestral genome of core eudicot plant kingdom can potentially have profound impacts on both basic and applied research,including evolution,genetics,genomics,ecology,agriculture,forestry,and global *** investigate which plant conserves best the core eudicots common ancestor genome,we compared Arcto-Tertiary relict Nyssaceae and 30 other eudicot plant *** genomes of Davidia involucrata(a known living fossil),Camptotheca acuminata and Nyssa sinensis,one per existent genus of Nyssaceae,were performed comparative genomic *** found that Nyssaceae originated from a single Nyssaceae common tetraploidization event(NCT)-autotetraploidization 2.-31 Mya after the core eudicot common hexaploidization(ECH).We identified Nyssaceae orthologous and paralogous genes,determined its chromosomal evolutionary trajectory,and reconstructed the Nyssaceae most recent ancestor *** genome contained the entire seven paleochromosomes and 17 ECH-generated eudicot common ancestor chromosomes and was the slowest in mutation among the analyzed 42.species of 31 plant *** both its high retention of paleochromosomes and its low mutation rate,*** provides the best case in conservation of the core eudicot paleogenome.

Heavy-atom engineered hypoxia-responsive probes for precisive photoacoustic imaging and cancer therapy

Photoacoustic agents combining photodynamic therapy(PDT) and photothermal therapy(PTT) functions have emerged as potent theranostic agents for combating cancer. The molecular approaches for enhancing the near-infrared(NIR)-absorption and maximizing non-radiative energy transfer are essential for effective photoacoustic imaging(PAI) and therapy applications. In addition, such molecules with high specificity and affinity to cancer cells are urgently needed, which would further decrease the side effect during treatments. In this study, we applied a heavy-atom engineering strategy and introduced p-aminophenol,-thio, and-seleno moieties into NIR heptamethine cyanine(Cy7) skeleton(Cy7-X-NH_(2., X = O, S, Se) to significantly increase photothermal conversion efficiency for PTT and promote intersystem crossing for ***, we designed a series of nitroreductase(NTR)-activated photoacoustic probes(Cy7-X-NO_(2.,X = O, S, Se), and target hypoxic tumors with NTR overexpression. Our prostate cancer targeting probe,Cy7-Se-NO_(2.-KUE, exhibited specific tumor photoacoustic signals and effective tumor killing through outstanding synergistic PTT/PDT in vivo. These findings highlighted a versatile strategy for cancer photoacoustic diagnosis and enhanced phototherapy.

A non-contact method for millimeter-scale inspection of material surface flatness via Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LIBS)is investigated *** experiment is performed using a planished surface of an alloy steel sample to simulate its various flatness,ranging from 0 to 4.4 mm,by adjusting the laser focal plane to the surface distance with a step length of 0.2.*** is found that LIBS measurements are successful in inspecting the flatness differences among these simulated cases,implying that the method investigated here is *** is also found that,for achieving the inspection of surface flatness within such a wide range,when univariate analysis is applied,a piecewise calibration model must be *** is due to the complex dependence of plasma formation conditions on the surface flatness,which inevitably complicates the inspection *** solve the problem,a multivariate analysis with the help of Back-Propagation Neural Network(BPNN)algorithms is applied to further construct the calibration *** detailed analysis of the model performance,we demonstrate that a unified calibration model can be well established based on BPNN algorithms for unambiguous millimeter-scale range inspection of surface flatness with a resolution of about 0.2.mm.

Snap-through behaviors and nonlinear vibrations of a bistable composite laminated cantilever shell:an experimental and numerical study

The Nansha Block(NB)is one of the blocks separated from the southern margin of the South china Craton(SCC)by the western Pacific subduction,which contains rich information of geodynamic and tectonic *** reveal the essence of western Paleo-Pacific subduction during the Triassic period,Well NK-1 in this block was selected for petrographic study,and published research data from other cooperative teams were compared.A double-cycle pattern of basic to neutral magmatic volcanism was established,and 36 lithological rhythmic layers and representative cryptoexplosive breccia facies and welded tuff bands were *** with a reanalysis of published geochronological data,geochemical elements,and isotope geochemistry,we found that the rock assemblages could be divided into an intermediate-acid dacite(DA)series(SiO_(2.>65%)and basaltic(BA)series(Co2.8.6±3.2.–(2.7.9±3.5)Ma).BA exhibits obvious calc-alkaline island-arc magmatic properties:(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)_i ratio ranging 0.70377–0.71118(average:0.70645),^(147)Sm/^(144)Nd ratio ranging 0.119–0.193(average:0.168),and chondrite-normalized rare earth element(REE)curves being flat,while DA exhibits remarkable characteristics of subducted island-arc andesitic magma:(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)_i ratio(0.70939–0.7112.;average:0.71035),εNd(t)value(-6.2.-4.8;average:-5.6)andε_(Hf)(t)value(-2.9–-1.7,average:-2.2.show obvious crust-mantle mixing *** and DA reveal typical characteristics of island-arc magma systems and typeⅡenriched mantle(EM-Ⅱ)*** magma was likely resulted from the process whereby the continental crust frontal accretionary wedge was driven by the Paleo-Pacific slab subduction into the deep and began to melt,resulting in a large amount of melt(fluid)joined the asthenosphere on the side of the continental *** contrast,DA magma was likely resulted from the process whereby the plate front was forced to bend with increasing subducti
