MSC transplantation has been explored as a new clinical approach to stem cell-based therapies for bone diseases in regenerative medicine due to their osteogenic capability. However, only a small population of implanted MSC could successfully reach the injured areas. Therefore, enhancing MSC migration could be a beneficial strategy to improve the therapeutic potential of cell transplantation. Catharmus tinctorius volatile oil(CTVO) was found to facilitate MSC migration. Further exploration of the underlying molecular mechanism participating in the pro-migratory ability may provide a novel strategy to improve MSC transplantation efficacy. This study indicated that CTVO promotes MSC migration through enhancing ROCK2 mRNA and protein expressions. MSC migration induced by CTVO was blunted by ROCK2 inhibitor, which also decreased myosin light chain(MLC) ***, the si RNA for ROCK2 inhibited the effect of CTVO on MSC migration ability and attenuated MLC phosphorylation,suggesting that CTVO may promote BMSC migration via the ROCK2/MLC signaling. Taken together, this study indicates that *** volatile oil could enhance MSC migration via ROCK2/MLC signaling in vitro. C. tinctorius volatile oil-targeted therapy could be a beneficial strategy to improve the therapeutic potential of cell transplantation for bone diseases in regenerative medicine.

为促进混合发酵的糙米酵素中酿酒酵母和植物乳杆菌快速生长,以活菌数为指标对传统糙米酵素发酵培养基组分进行优化,并研究各因素之间的交互作用。由预试验确定各组分适宜浓度范围后通过Plackett-Burman试验得出3个重要影响因子:蜂蜜、糙米和NaCl。根据3个重要影响因子的效应大小设定最陡爬坡试验的方向和步长,采用Box-Behnken试验设计3因素3水平的响应面分析试验。优化后的混菌最佳发酵培养基的组成成分为蜂蜜3.38g/100 mL、糙米10.71g/100mL、NaCl 0.24g/100mL、小麦芽0.25g/100mL、大麦芽0.50g/100 mL、(NH_4)_2SO_40.50g/100 mL和茶叶粉0.025g/100mL。采用以上最佳发酵培养基进行验证实验得出活菌数为5.35×10~7 CFU/mL,是基础糙米酵素培养基活菌数(5.71×10~6 CFU/mL)的9.37倍。验证实验说明响应面法优化得到的函数模型与实际数据较为拟合。

Adiponectin receptor 1 and small ubiquitin-like modifier 4 polymorphisms are associated with risk of coronary artery disease without diabetes

Background The genes encoding adiponectin receptor 1 （ADIPOR1） and small ubiquitin-like modifier 4 （SUM04） have been linked to anti-atherogenic effects, but little is known about whether polymorphisms in the two genes, acting separately or interacting, affect risk of coronary artery disease （CAD） without diabetes. Methods We genotyped 200 CAD patients without diabetes and 200 controls without CAD or diabetes at three single-nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） in ADIPOR1 and one SNP in SUM04, which were chosen based on previous studies. Potential associations were also explored between these SNPs and clinical characteristics of CAD without diabetes. Results Risk alleles at three SNPs inADIPOR1 （rs7539542-G, rs7514221-C and rs3737884-G） and the G allele at SNP rs237025 in SUM04 significantly increased risk of CAD without diabetes, with ORs ranging from 1.79 to 4.44. Carriers of any of these four risk alleles showed similar adverse clinical characteristics. Compared with individuals with a CC or GC genotype, those with a GG genotype at rs3737884 were at significantly higher risk of CAD that affected the left anterior descending coronary artery （OR： 6.77, P = 0.009）, the right coronary artery （OR： 4.81, P = 0.028） or a relatively large number of vessels （P = 0.04）. Individuals carrying a risk allele at one or more of the three SNPs in ADIPOR1 as well as a risk allele at the SNP in SUM04 were at significantly higher risk of CAD without diabetes than individuals not carrying any risk alleles （OR： 5.82, 95% CI： 1.23-27.7, P= 0.013）. Conelusions SNPs in ADIPORl and SUMO4 are associated with elevated risk of CAD without diabetes, and SNPs in the two genes may interact to jointly affect disease risk.

The Lower to Middle Jurassic sedimentary succession is dominated by siliciclastics with a significant amount of black shales in the Indus Basin,*** outcrop samples have been studied using an integrated approach to interpret the conceptual depositional setting from carbon and oxygen isotopes(δ^(13)C&δ18O),organic geochemistry,and palynofacies with major and trace element *** interpretation of trace element data,various single and elemental ratios have been used in this research to unlock the geological history of the studied ***/Al is 1.96 for high-potential source rock and 7.82 for non-potential source rock,and Cr(less than 1)indicates low clastic input with low oxygen for stratified and stagnant *** ratios of V/(V+Cr),V/(V+Ni),V/Mo,V/Ni,(Cu+Mo)/Zn,Mo/Al,isotopic values ofδ^(13)C andδ18O and besides the V/Cr elemental ratio,all proxies indicate that there are oxygen-depleted anoxic conditions at high potentials,while in non-potential source rock,these ratios show oxic to sub-oxic *** addition to the trace element correlation with total organic carbon,the influx of organic matter is determined by the palynoafacies analysis,which indicates mixed terrestrial and marine organic influx in high-potential source rock and vice ***,the studies of palynofaceis DFPF A-D and SFPF A-B suggest that the depositional setting of black shale occurred in the anoxic proximal to distal *** results suggest that the regional and local occurrence of black shale during the Lower to Middle Jurassic and its geological condition were addressed,and these play an important role in its depositional and paleooceanographic setting in the Eastern Tethys.

Realizing real-time monitoring of physiological signals is vital for preventing and treating chronic diseases in elderly individuals. However,wearable sensors with low power consumption and high sensitivity to both weak physiological signals and large mechanical stimuli remain ***, a flexible triboelectric patch(FTEP) based on porous-reinforcement microstructures for remote health monitoring has been reported. The porousreinforcement microstructure is constructed by the self-assembly of silicone rubber adhering to the porous framework of the pu sponge. The mechanical properties of the FTEP can be regulated by the concentrations of silicone rubber dilution. For pressure sensing, its sensitivity can be effectively improved fivefold compared to the device with a solid dielectric layer, reaching 5.93 kPa^(-1) under a pressure range of 0–5 kPa. In addition, the FTEP has a wide detection range up to 50 kPa with a sensitivity of 0.21 kPa^(-1). The porous microstructure makes the FTEP ultra-sensitive to external pressure, and the reinforcements endow the device with a greater deformation limit in a wide detection range. Finally, a novel concept of the wearable Internet of Healthcare(Io H) system for real-time physiological signal monitoring has been proposed, which could provide real-time physiological information for ambulatory personalized healthcare monitoring.

Artemisia annua, commonly known as sweet wormwood or Qinghao, is a shrub native to china and has long been used for medicinal purposes. A. annua is now cultivated globally as the only natural source of a potent anti-malarial compound, artemisinin. Here, we report a high-quality draft assembly of the 1.74-gigabase genome of A. annua, which is highly heterozygous, rich in repetitive sequences, and contains 63 226 protein-coding genes, one of the largest numbers among the sequenced plant species. We found that, as one of a few sequenced genomes in the Asteraceae, the A. annua genome contains a large number of genes specific to this large angiosperm clade. Notably, the expansion and functional diversification of genes encoding enzymes involved in terpene biosynthesis are consistent with the evolution of the artemi- sinin biosynthetic pathway. We further revealed by transcriptome profiling that A. annua has evolved the sophisticated transcriptional regulatory networks underlying artemisinin biosynthesis. Based on compre- hensive genomic and transcriptomic analyses we generated transgenic A. annua lines producing high levels of artemisinin, which are now ready for large-scale production and thereby will help meet the chal- lenge of increasing global demand of artemisinin.

Multi-user rate and power analysis in a cognitive radio network with massive multi-input multi-output

This paper discusses transmission performance and power allocation strategies in an underlay cognitive radio （CR） network that contains relay and massive multi-input multi-output （MIMO）. The downlink transmission performance of a relay-aided massive MIMO network without CR is derived. By using the power distribution criteria, the kth user＇s asymptotic signal to interference and noise ratio （SINR） is independent of fast fading. When the ratio between the base station （BS） antennas and the relay antennas becomes large enough, the transmission performance of the whole system is independent of BS-to-relay channel parameters and relates only to the relay-to-users stage. Then cognitive transmission performances of primary users （pus） and secondary users （SUs） in an underlay CR network with massive MIMO are derived under perfect and imperfect channel state information （CSI）, including the end-to-end SINR and achievable sum rate. When the numbers of primary base station （PBS） antennas, secondary base station （SBS） antennas, and relay antennas become infinite, the asymptotic SINR of the kth pu and SU is independent of fast fading. The interference between the primary network and secondary network can be canceled *** performance does not include the interference temperature. The secondary network can use its peak power to transmit signals without causing any interference to the primary network. Interestingly, when the antenna ratio becomes large enough, the asymptotic sum rate equals half of the rate of a single-hop single-antenna K-user system without fast fading. Next, the pus＇ utility function is defined. The optimal relay power is derived to maximize the utility function. The numerical results verify our analysis. Background In cardiology, it is controversial whether gender influences prognosis after acute myocardial infarction （MI）. We examined the 30-day and 1-year prognosis for female patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction （STEMI） in Liaoning province, and we analyzed factors that influenced these outcomes. Methods This was a prospective, multicenter, observational study in which patient data were collected by questionnaire at the time of diagnosis and at approximately 30 days and 1 year later by telephone inquiries. Patients were diagnosed with STEMI between June 1, 2009 and June 1, 2010 at any of the 20 hospitals that gave treatment representative of current STEMI treatment in Liaoning Province. Unified follow-up questionnaire was used to visit the STEMI patients. Results We analyzed data from a total of 1429 consecutive patients with STEMI in Liaoning province. Female patients were older （70.0 vs. 60.3, P 〈0.001） and were less likely to receive emergency reperfusion therapy than male ones （39.2% vs. 58.0%, P 〈0.001）. Female gender was associated with higher unadjusted 30-day mortality rates （HR=2.118, 95%C/： 1.572-2.854, P 〈0.001） and higher unadjusted 1-year mortality rates （HR=2.174, 95%C/： 1.659-2.848, P 〈0.001）. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that female gender was not an independent predictor of 30-day mortality rates （HR=1.273, 95%C/： 0.929-1.745, P=0.133） nor of 1-year mortality rates （HR=1.112, 95%C/： 0.831-1.487, P=0.475）. Conclusions Women with STEMI appear to be at increased risk of 30-day and 1-year mortality compared with male STEMI patients, but this difference may be explained by older age and less frequent receipt of reperfusion therapy among the women.

An intrinsic magnetic topological insulator(TI) is a stoichiometric magnetic compound possessing both inherent magnetic order and topological electronic states. Such a material can provide a shortcut to various novel topological quantum effects but remained elusive experimentally for a long time. Here we report the experimental realization of thin films of an intrinsic magnetic TI, MnBi2Te4, by alternate growth of a Bi2Te3 quintuple layer and a MnTe bilayer with molecular beam epitaxy. The material shows the archetypical Dirac surface states in angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and is demonstrated to be an antiferromagnetic topological insulator with ferromagnetic surfaces by magnetic and transport measurements as well as first-principles calculations. The unique magnetic and topological electronic structures and their interplays enable the material to embody rich quantum phases such as quantum anomalous Hall insulators and axion insulators at higher temperature and in a well-controlled way.
