It has been shown clinically that continuous removal of ischemia/reperfusion-induced reactive oxygen species is not conducive to the recovery of late ***,previous studies have shown that excessive increases in hypochlorous acid after stroke can cause severe damage to brain *** previous studies have found that a small amount of hypochlorous acid still exists in the later stage of stroke,but its specific role and mechanism are currently *** simulate stroke in vivo,a middle cerebral artery occlusion rat model was established,with an oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation model established in vitro to mimic *** found that in the early stage(within 24 hours)of ischemic stroke,neutrophils produced a large amount of hypochlorous acid,while in the recovery phase(10 days after stroke),microglia were activated and produced a small amount of hypochlorous ***,in acute stroke in rats,hypochlorous acid production was prevented using a hypochlorous acid scavenger,taurine,or myeloperoxidase inhibitor,4-aminobenzoic acid *** results showed that high levels of hypochlorous acid(200μM)induced neuronal apoptosis after oxygen/glucose deprivation/***,in the recovery phase of the middle cerebral artery occlusion model,a moderate level of hypochlorous acid promoted the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells into neurons and *** suggests that hypochlorous acid plays different roles at different phases of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** levels of hypochlorous acid(5 and 100μM)promoted nuclear translocation ofβ-*** transfection of single-site mutation plasmids,we found that hypochlorous acid induced chlorination of theβ-catenin tyrosine 30 residue,which promoted nuclear ***,our study indicates that maintaining low levels of hypochlorous acid plays a key role in the recovery of neurological function.

Nowadays rotating machinery grows and develops extremely fast due to its multi-branch *** the fields of rotordynamics and rotor balancing had a strong background based on previous experience in order to perform efficient and safe operation for the rotating machines,still there are problems which are hard to be dealt with in some special *** of them is balancing of the rotor with huge *** with overhang is inherent to have console modes,which previously often were observed separately from the other modes in rotordynamic *** such a way console modes,their behavior,order of appearance and interaction with other modes were described in current paper in more *** results confirmed that console modes obey the principle of orthogonality in the same way as all other modes and hence could be efficiently balanced using modal balancing *** results revealed likelihood of such phenomena as modes order transition,when the rotor has an *** a consequence perfectly balanced console rotor could not be so due to modes order transition effect when the bearing stiffness in situ differs from bearing stiffness of balancing *** results will be useful for engineers who are involved in area of rotating machinery vibration tuning for the rotor with huge overhang and benefit them to recognize these modes efficiently and to perform balancing successfully.

Lithium metal batteries(LMBs) with a high theoretical capacity are seen as a type of the most potential energy storage ***,the growth of lithium dendrite,the irreversible side reactions,and the infinite volume alteration still curb the practical utilization of lithium metal anodes,resulting in low Coulombic efficiency(CE) and safety problems,***,we synthesize a lithiophilic 3D copper foam host with uniformly distributed nano-flower-like ZnO particles(CuF/ZnO) and obtain the composite lithium metal anode containing the Li_(2)O,LiZn alloy,and pure Li by the infusion of molten Li(CuF/Li_(2)O-LiZn@Li).Benefitting from the advantages of the 3D structure of copper foam and the lithiophilicity of ZnO sites,the composite lithium metal anode can restrain the volume alternation and regulate the uniform deposition of *** symmetrical cells of the composite lithium metal anode have a 1600 h long cycle life with a low polarization voltage of 15 mV,and the Coulombic efficiency can maintain about 97.8% at 1.0 ma·cm^(-2),1.0mah·cm^(-2).

Influence of education and working background on physicians' knowledge of secondary prevention guidelines for coronary heart disease: results from a survey in China

Background and objective： In clinical practice, the standard of secondary prevention for coronary heart disease （CHD） is quite disappointing in China. The physicians＇ shortage of knowledge of secondary prevention guidelines is thought to be a key factor contributing to the inadequate and delayed translation of guidelines into clinical practice. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of physicians＇ characteristics, including their educa- tion and work experience, on their knowledge of secondary prevention in China. Methods： A representative ques- tionnaire survey was made of physicians from cardiology departments in 35 tertiary hospitals in China. The survey contained 19 questions on knowledge of guideline recommendations for the secondary prevention of CHD. We col- lected basic information about the physicians, including their educational degree, clinical practice duration/work experience and geographic region. Results： In total, 864 physicians participated in the survey. Eight hundred and thirty-seven completed questionnaires were analyzed. For 6 of the 19 questions, physicians with a postgraduate degree were more likely to answer correctly than those without such a degree. For 11 of the 19 questions, physicians with more than three years＇ clinical experience were more likely to answer correctly than those who had less than three years＇ experience. For 5 of the 19 questions, *** eastern areas were more likely to answer correctly than those from mid/western areas. The mean total score of correct answers to the questionnaire was 11.69 points. Edu- cational degree and clinical practice duration affected total scores significantly while practice location did not （β=0.500, P=0.004; ,β=0.979, P=0.000; and 8=0.228, P=0.162, respectively）. Even if a relatively low score of 12 is taken as a threshold level of acceptable knowledge （defined as a pass）, the pass rate of all physicians was only 53.9%. Objective To investigate the genotypic diversity of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) isolated from pigs and retail foods from different geographical areas in China and further to study the routes and rates of transmission of this pathogen from animals to food. Methods Seventy-one MRSA isolates were obtained from pigs and retail foods and then characterized by multi-locus sequencing typing(MLST), spa typing, multiple-locus variable number of tandem repeat analysis(MLVA), pulsed-field gel electrophoresis(PFGE), and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Results All isolated MRSA exhibited multi-drug resistance(MDR). Greater diversity was found in food-associated MRSA(7 STs, 8 spa types, and 10 MLVA patterns) compared to pig-associated MRSA(3 STs, 1 spa type, and 6 MLVA patterns). PFGE patterns were more diverse for pig-associated MRSA than those of food-associated isolates(40 vs. 11 pulse types). Among the pig-associated isolates, CC9-ST9-t899-MC2236 was the most prevalent clone(96.4%), and CC9-ST9-t437-MC621(20.0%) was the predominant clone among the food-associated isolates. The CC9-ST9 isolates showed significantly higher antimicrobial resistance than other clones. Interestingly, CC398-ST398-t034 clone was identified from both pig-and food-associated isolates. Of note, some community-and hospital-associated MRSA strains(t030, t172, t1244, and t4549) were also identified as food-associated isolates. Conclusion CC9-ST9-t899-MC2236-MDR was the most predominant clone in pigs, but significant genetic diversity was observed in food-associated MRSA. Our results demonstrate the great need for improved surveillance of MRSA in livestock and food and effective prevention strategies to limit MDR-MRSA infections in China.

The novel functionalized triblock copolymers,poly[（4-vinylphenyl）dimethylsilane]-b-polybutadiene-b-poly[（4-vinylphenyl）-dimethylsilane] （PVPDMS-b-PBd-b-PVPDMS）,were synthesized by anionic polymerization method using high vacuum technique. The hydrocarbon-soluble dilithium initiator synthesized from l,3-di[l-（methylphenyl）ethenyl]benzene（MPEB） was used to synthesize polybutadiene（PBd） precursors and the triblock copolymers in the presence of *** precursors and copolymers were characterized by size exclusion chromatography（SEC）,~1HNMR and DSC techniques.

Phosphorus(P)is a nonrenewable resource and a critical element for plant growth that plays an important role in improving crop *** P fertilizer application is widespread in agricultural production,which not only wastes phosphate resources but also causes P accumulation and groundwater ***,we hypothesized that the apparent P balance of a crop system could be used as an indicator for identifying the critical P input in order to obtain a high yield with high phosphorus use efficiency(PUE).A 12-year field experiment with P fertilization rates of 0,45,90,135,180,and 225 kg P_(2)O_(5)ha^(-1)was conducted to determine the crop yield,PUE,and soil Olsen-P value response to P balance,and to optimize the P *** yield stagnation occurred when the P fertilizer application exceeded a certain level,and high yield and PUE levels were achieved with annual P fertilizer application rates of 90-135 kg P_(2)O_(5)ha^(-1).A critical P balance range of 2.15-4.45 kg P ha^(-1)was recommended to achieve optimum yield with minimal environmental *** critical P input range estimated from the P balance was 95.7-101 kg P_(2)O_(5)ha^(-1),which improved relative yield(>90%)and PUE(90.0-94.9%).In addition,the P input-output balance helps in assessing future changes in Olsen-P values,which increased by 4.07 mg kg^(-1)of P for every 100 kg of P ***,the P balance can be used as a critical indicator for P management in agriculture,providing a robust reference for limiting P excess and developing a more productive,efficient and environmentally friendly P fertilizer management strategy.
