Wide-bandwidth pulses were generated with a dispersion-managed erbium-doped passively mode-locked fiber laser based on a graphene saturable absorber. The graphene saturable absorber was composed of a tapered fiber deposited with graphene fabricated by liquid-phase exfoliation. The output pulse had a 3-dB bandwidth of 13.6 nm, which is the widest spectrum ever achieved with graphene-tapered-fiber saturable absorbers.

An all-fiber mode-locked fiber laser was achieved with a saturable absorber based on a tapered fiber deposited with layered molybdenum selenide(MoSe_2). The laser was operated at a central wavelength of 1558.35 nm with an output spectral width of 2.9 nm, and a pulse repetition rate of 16.33 MHz. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on mode-locked fiber lasers using MoSe_2 saturable absorbers based on tapered fibers.

Hand,foot,and mouth disease (HFMD) is an acute infection caused by enteroviruses that is commonly seen in children^([1]).High infectivity,large number of asymptomatic infections,complex transmission routes,and rapid spread make it difficult to control *** 2008,China has reported> 23 million HFMD cases,including>0.15million severe cases^([2]).HFMD tops the list of notifiable infectious diseases in terms of case number and incidence rate,leading to a huge disease burden^([3]).Timely and accurate assessment of HFMD epidemics is essential for a holistic understanding of the outbreaks and for effective prevention and control ***,there are no quantitative indicators to determine the duration and intensity of HFMD epidemics in Beijing.

Dear Editor,Cytokine-induced killer(CIK)cells have been recognized as a new type of anti-tumor effector *** cells are a mixture of T *** them,CD3+/CD56+T cells,which are rare in uncultured peripheral blood,are the main effector *** cells can proliferate rapidly in vitro,with stronger antitumor activity,broader target tumor spectrum,and lower adverse effect than other reported antitumor effector cells.1 Their ease of production in vitro and antitumor potential have made them suitable candidates for cell therapy regimens in solid and hematopoietic tumor treatments.1,2 Our previous retrospective study showed that the median progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)in untreated,advanced non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients who received CIK cell immunotherapy plus chemotherapy(13 and 24 months,respectively)were significantly longer than in those who received chemotherapy alone(6 and 10 months,respectively).2 But so far,there is no prospective,multicenter clinical study in lung *** on our previous study,we designed this randomized,multicenter,open-label trial to further evaluate the clinical efficacy of CIK cell immunotherapy plus chemotherapy in patients with advanced squamous NSCLC(*** number,NCT01631357).

AIM To identify the clinicopathological characteristics of pT1 N0 esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) that are associated with tumor recurrence. METHODS We reviewed 216 pT1 N0 thoracic ESCC cases who underwent esophagectomy and thoracoabdominal two-field lymphadenectomy without preoperative chemoradiotherapy. After excluding those cases with clinical follow-up recorded fewer than 3 mo and those who died within 3 mo of surgery, we included 199 cases in the current analysis. Overall survival and recurrencefree survival were assessed by the Kaplan-Meier method, and clinicopathological characteristics associated with any recurrence or distant recurrence were evaluated using univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards models. Early recurrence(≤ 24 mo) and correlated parameters were assessed using univariate and multivariate logistic regression *** Forty-seven(24%) patients had a recurrence at 3 to 178(median, 33) mo. The 5-year recurrence-free survival rate was 80.7%. None of 13 asymptomatic cases had a recurrence. Preoperative clinical symptoms, upper thoracic location, ulcerative or intraluminal mass macroscopic tumor type, tumor invasion depth level, basaloid histology, angiolymphatic invasion, tumor thickness, submucosal invasion thickness, diameter of the largest single tongue of invasion, and complete negative aberrant p53 expression were significantly related to tumor recurrence and/or recurrence-free survival. Upper thoracic tumor location, angiolymphatic invasion, and submucosal invasion thickness were independent predictors of tumor recurrence(Hazard ratios = 3.26, 3.42, and 2.06, P rence-free survival with these three predictors was constructed. 目的：探索风力机运行在不同尖速比下近尾迹流场的瞬态和时均特性,揭示风力机近尾迹场的涡量、流速、湍流和雷诺应力演化规律,为相关的数值模拟提供实验对比数据支撑。创新点：将时间分辨粒子图像测速技术应用于风力机近尾迹测量可以捕捉到较高时间分辨率和高精度的流动信息,进而揭示风力机近尾迹详细的流动机理。方法：实验在风洞里面进行,利用时间分辨粒子图像测速技术获得风力机瞬时流场（图1-3）,通过调节风力机配套电机的负荷输出可以得到不同的运行尖速比。对测量得到的瞬时速度的后处理可以得到瞬时涡量以及湍动能和雷诺应力的时均值。结论：1.风力机近尾迹区域沿径向可分为速度增益区、速度保持区和速度亏损区,不同尖速比下速度恢复到主流速度的径向位置基本相同;2.在后半个半径长度区域内,径向平均速度沿径向方向有增加的趋势,而在叶尖以上,径向平均速度沿径向减小;3.近尾迹湍动能在径向方向上0.3倍和0.9倍半径高度处会出现峰值,而在0.6倍半径附近位置会出现湍动能最低值;4.在风力机近尾迹,雷诺剪切应力小于雷诺正应力,在叶根附近,轴向雷诺正应力大于径向雷诺正应力以及雷诺剪切应力,而在叶尖处,径向雷诺正应力大于轴向雷诺正应力以及雷诺剪切应力。

Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains *** A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of *** Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two *** Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease, while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes.

AIM： To investigate the biological function of F protein by yeast two-hybrid system. METHODS： We constructed F protein bait plasmid by cloning the gene of F protein into pGBKT7, then recombinant plasmid DNA was transformed into yeast AH109 （a type）. The transformed yeast AH109 was mated with yeast Y187 （α type） containing liver cDNA library plasmid in 2×YPDA medium. Diploid yeast was plated on synthetic dropout nutrient medium （SD/-Trp-Leu-HisAde） containing X-α-gal for selection and screening. After extracting and sequencing plasmids from positive （blue） colonies, we underwent sequence analysis by bioinformatics. RESULTS： Thirty-six colonies were selected and sequenced. Among them, 11 colonies were zymogen granule protein, 5 colonies were zinc finger protein, 4 colonies were zinc-α-2-glycoprotein, 1 colony was sialyltransferase, 1 colony was complement control protein factor I, 1 colony was vitronectin, and 2 colonies were new genes with unknown function. CONCLUSION： The yeast two-hybrid system is an effective method for identifying hepatocyte proteins interacting with F protein of hepatitis C virus.
