Pseudo-chromosome–length genome assembly for a deep-sea eel Ilyophis brunneus sheds light on the deep-sea adaptation

High hydrostatic pressure,low temperature,and scarce food supply are the major factors that limit the survival of vertebrates in extreme deep-sea ***,we constructed a high-quality genome of the deep-sea Muddy arrowtooth eel(MAE,Ilyophis brunneus,captured below a depth of 3,500 m)by using Illumina,Pac Bio,and Hi-C *** compare it against those of shallow-water eel and other outgroups to explore the genetic basis that underlies the adaptive evolution to deep-sea *** MAE genome was estimated to be 1.47 Gb and assembled into 14 *** analyses indicated that MAE diverged from its closely related shallow-sea species,European eel,~111.9 Mya and experienced a rapid *** genome evolutionary analyses primarily revealed the following:(i)under high hydrostatic pressure,the positively selected gene TUBGCP3 and the expanded family MLC1 may improve the cytoskeleton stability;ACOX1 may enhance the fluidity of cell membrane and maintain transport activity;the expansion of ABCC12 gene family may enhance the integrity of DNA;(ii)positively selected HARS likely maintain the transcription ability at low temperatures;and(iii)energy metabolism under a food-limited environment may be increased by expanded and positively selected genes in AMPK and m TOR signaling pathways.

Thoracic endovascular aortic repair with left subclavian artery reconstruction for blunt traumatic aortic injury in elderly patients

Introduction:Blunt thoracic aortic injury(BTAI)is rare in elderly *** the population ages and life expectancy increases,the frequency of this injury will increase,while the treatment and outcomes remain ***:We retrospectively analyzed the collected data of patients>60 years old with BTAI to investigate the mechanism of trauma;time interval from injury to diagnosis;type and timing of surgical intervention;aortic arch pattern;choice of left subclavian artery reconstruction;endograft to treat BTAI;length of the endovascular procedure;endoleaks;complications including stroke,paraplegia,and renal failure;length of hospital stay(LOS)and intensive care unit stay(***);and 30-day ***:Five elderly trauma patients were found to have ***(80%)were males,the cohort mean age was68 years,the major mechanism of trauma was fall injury,and the associated injury was thoracic *** patients were transferred to our hospital,and emergency computed tomography angiography showed BTAI in each *** average time interval from injury to diagnosis was 2.7 *** patients suddenly showed signs of instability in their vital signs and underwent immediate endovascular repair,while 3 patients underwent delayed endovascular *** injury site was located in the aortic isthmus just distal to the origin of the left subclavian artery;the aortic arch pattern was II(80.0%)in 4 cases and III in 1 case(20.0%).The choice of left subclavian artery reconstruction included chimney,double chimney,prefenestration,and chimney combined with in situ *** to treat BTAI included the Ankura(Lifetech Scientific,Shenzhen,China)and the C-TAG(***&Associates,Flagstaff,AZ USA).The length of the endovascular procedure was 75.4 min;there were no endoleaks and no complications including stroke,paraplegia,or renal *** average LOS was25 days,and the average *** of 2 patients was 15 days,with no 30-day ***:Elderly patien

A Scheduling Strategy of Light Supplement in Agricultural Greenhouse Based on the Displacement of Light Source Group

LED can effectively promote the growth of crops and improve the yield of crops. In order to make the crops grow evenly in the agricultural greenhouse, the uniformity of illumination is very important. Because of the importance of illumination uniformity to the growth of crops, this paper intends to establish the illuminance model of light source without considering the influence factors such as the difference of each light source group and air scattering. On this basis, the reasonable layout of each light source position in the light source group is considered. Therefore, a light replenishment scheduling strategy based on the displacement of light source group is proposed in this paper Improve the uniformity of illumination in agricultural greenhouse and reduce its operation cost. Experiments show that the strategy is effective.

Quasi-two-dimensional perovskite light-emitting diodes (quasi-2D PeLEDs) are emerging as high-potential candidates for new generation of wide-color gamut displays due to their simple, low-cost solution process, and high color purity. However, the luminescence performance of quasi-2D perovskite films is severely limited by dispersed phase distribution and excessive defect density, which are caused by excessive diffusion of nucleation sites during the perovskite growth stage. Here, the benzylphosphonic acid (BPA) molecule, owing to its strong P-O-Pb bond energy sites and strong electronegativity to PEA+, can aggregate lead-halide octahedron to grow high-dimensional phases, avoiding scattered low-dimensional phases (n = 1). The continuous gradient phase distribution will be beneficial to smooth carrier injection and effectively suppress the leakage current in PeLEDs. Meanwhile, the introduction of phosphonic acid groups will fill the vacancies of Pb ions and reduce non-radiative recombination. As a result, the maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of PeLEDs can be increased from 8% to 20.6% with a 514 nm light emission and a 21 nm full-width half maximum, and the device lifetime (T 50) is nearly 6-fold of the pristine sample. In addition, this strategy is also suitable for other wavelength. For example, in blue light, performance improvement is also realized that the maximum EQE of 8% and the luminance increased from 1045 to 5264 cd/m2. These results provide a feasible strategy to regulate the phase distribution and passivate the defects of quasi-2D perovskites.

Baseline symptoms of depression and anxiety negatively impact the effectiveness of CBTi in treating acute insomnia among young adults

As part of“The Earth Summit Mission-2022”during the second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research(STEP)in April and May 2022,we conducted the ozone sounding experiment(an ozonesonde mated to a radiosonde)at *** Base Camp(MQBC;86.85°E,28.14°N;5200 m),a location at an extremely high altitude.A total of ten sounding profiles were obtained between April 30 and May 06,2022,of which seven profiles were above35 km in altitude,with a maximum detection altitude up to 39.0 *** study presents the temporal variation and vertical distributions of atmospheric temperature,humidity,and ozone during the MQBC *** averaged ozone concentration was high(68.3 ppbv)at the surface and then increased smoothly until peaking(~110 ppbv)in the middle troposphere(approximately 10 km),and afterward,the ozone concentration increased rapidly from the upper troposphere to a maximum of~10 ppmv at~30 *** enhanced ozone concentration in the middle troposphere was associated with the blocking high pressure,and transport from the southern flank of the Himalayas occurred during the campaign *** average total ozone column was 291.9±21.4 DU for the seven profiles exceeding 35km in *** ozonesonde measurements were also compared with the vertical ozone profiles retrieved from the space-borne ozone products from the Microwave Limb Sounder(MLS)onboard the Aura satellite and the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder(AIRS)onboard the Aqua satellite.

Suppressing Wnt signaling of the blood-tumor barrier to intensify drug delivery and inhibit lipogenesis of brain metastases

The use of transition metal-activated peroxymonosulfate(PMS)as an advanced oxidation technology has gained *** study developed a catalyst using cobaltDlanthanum bimetallic oxide supported on layered molybdenum disulfide(Mo S_(2))as a *** CoDLa/Mo S_(2)catalyst was synthesised through coprecipitation,followed by calcination with an optimised metal ratio of Co:La=2:1 to activate PMS and degrade trace chloramphenicol(CAP)in *** chemical composition of the catalyst was confirmed using X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).At catalyst and PMS dosages of 0.1 and 0.5 g·L^(-1),respectively,the degradation rate of CAP was 95%with in 30 *** catalyst exhibitedstrong resistance to most interfering anions and maintained a high degradation rate at p H *** chromatographyDmass spectrometry analysis revealed the potential degradation pathways of CAP in the CoDLa/Mo S_(2)(2:1)/PMS *** other pollutants,such as oxytetracycline,complete degradation was achieved within 20 min,demonstrating the broad applicability of the CoDLa/Mo S_(2)(2:1)/PMS system for the degradation and removal of antibiotic organic contaminants.
