Effects of Maternal Death on Children Living in the Sagnarigu Municipality

Introduction: The greatest effect of maternal mortality is renowned in children aged 2 - 5 months whose mothers had died. Children whose mothers died due to maternal complications were likely to record a higher mortality in infancy compared to children of surviving mothers. Motherless children mostly suffer a lot due to lack of day-to-day care, isolation, lack of motivation as well as economic cost associated with mother’s death. Thus, the purpose of this study was to ascertain the lives of children whose mothers passed away during childbirth at the Sagnarigu Municipality. Methods: This quantitative cross-sectional study was carried out at the Sagnarigu Municipal. The study recruited 297 respondents. To assess the effects of maternal death on the lives of children, families that experienced maternal death were assessed. The number of pregnancies experienced by the deceased woman, pregnancy-related complaints experienced, determinants of maternal death, number of children alive, and their standard of living were assessed with the aid of a structured questionnaire. Results: The data showed that negligence, illiteracy, poor road access, poverty, ignorance, delays in recognizing the problem, delays in making appropriate decisions, delays in the health facility, delays in giving the appropriate treatments, and traditional beliefs were some of the factors that led to maternal death in the Sagnarigu Municipality. Conclusion: The study concluded that determinants of maternal death in the Sagnarigu Municipal included the following;negligence, illiteracy, poverty, and delays in recognizing the problem. The study findings also demonstrated that the effects of maternal death on children are diverse and cut across different areas of a child’s life including livelihood sustenance, healthcare, education, and emotional and psychological development.

A z-pinch dynamic hohlraum can create the high-temperature radiation field required by indirect-drive inertial confinement fusion.A dynamic hohlraum with peak radiation temperature over 300 eV can be obtained with a>50 MA z-pinch driver according to the scaling law of dynamic hohlraum radiation temperature vs drive *** on a uniform 300 eV radiation temperature profile with a width of 10 ns,three double-shell capsules with radii of 2,2.5,and 3 mm are proposed,and the corresponding fusion yields from a one-dimensional calculation are 28.8,56.1,and 101.6 *** implosion dynamics of the 2.5 mm-radius capsule is investigated in *** ignition,the areal density of the fuel is about 0.53 g/cm^(2),the fuel pressure is about 80 Gbar,and the central ion temperature is about 4.5 keV,according to the one-dimensional simulation.A two-dimensional simulation indicates that the double-shell capsule can implode nearly spherically when driven by the radiation field of a z-pinch dynamic *** sensitivities of the fusion performance to the radiation temperature profiles and to deviations in the capsule parameter are investigated through one-dimensional simulation,and it is found that the capsule fusion yields are rather stable in a quite large parameter space.A one-dimensional simulation of a capsule embedded in 50 mg/cm^(3)CH foam indicates that the capsule performance does not change greatly in the mimicked environment of a z-pinch dynamic *** double-shell capsules designed here are also applicable to laser indirect-drive inertial fusion,if a laser facility can produce a uniform 300 eV radiation field and sustain it for about 10 ns.

This paper analyzes neighborhood conflicts arising from the condominium property regime,under which social housing promoted by Mexican government institutions and private developers is *** regime has facilitated access to housing for the salaried population,but it is far from contributing to the attainment of the right to *** research takes as case studies housing complexes located in the city of Tijuana,Baja California,*** analysis included a mixed ***,similar case studies were analyzed;secondly,a review of the Condominium Property Regime Law was carried out in order to understand its *** view of the pandemic situation,a virtual survey was applied to the inhabitants of these areas,as well as interviews with presidents of neighborhood committees of these *** the above,it was found that this form of ownership generates conflicts,reflected in the dissatisfaction of the inhabitants with their housing,disagreements and controversies in their organization and *** inhabitants have to collectively solve the problems they face,related to the maintenance and use of common areas,insecurity,and cleanliness,among *** addition,there is a lack of support from local *** this,it is concluded that although the inhabitants have a space that solves their housing problem,it does not manage to be a space that adequately guarantees their right to housing.

Microbiological Quality of Cyperus esculentus L. Products Sold in Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso (Burkina Faso)

This study aimed to assess the microbiological quality of tiger nut (Cyperus esculentus L.) products sold in Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso. The microbial load of tubers and tiger nut milk was determined using ISO 4833-1 (2003) standard (total mesophilic aerobic flora), NF ISO 7954 (1998) standard (yeasts and molds), and ISO 4832 (2006) standard (total coliforms, thermotolerant coliforms). The results showed that tiger nut tubers had an average microbial load between 4.86 ± 7.03 × 106 UFC/g and 1.82 ± 2.30 × 107 UFC/g for total mesophilic aerobic flora, from 4.34 ± 10.6 × 105 UFC/g to 3.52 ± 4.54 × 106 UFC/g for yeasts and molds, from 2.23 ± 2.25 × 105 UFC/g to 1.41 ± 2.16 × 105 UFC/g for total coliforms and from 1.83 ± 2.03 × 105 UFC/g to 7.0 ± 10.8 × 104 CFU/g for thermotolerant coliforms. For tiger nut milk samples, the average microbial load varied from 3.48 ± 2.98 × 106 CFU/g to 2.80 ± 5.69 × 107 CFU/g for total mesophilic aerobic flora, from 5.00 ± 7.21 × 104 CFU/g to 1.88 ± 3.31 × 105 CFU/g for yeasts and molds, from 4.58 ± 10.4 × 104 CFU/g to 6.31 ± 9.17 × 105 CFU/g for total coliforms and 7.00 ± 7.00 × 103 CFU/g to 2.87 ± 5.86 × 105 CFU/g for thermotolerant coliforms. This study revealed that the tubers and tiger nut milk sold in Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso had a high microbial load which could lead to the degradation of these products and food poisoning for consumers.

目的了解深圳市极/超早产儿产房过渡期管理实施现状。方法2022年11月对深圳新生儿数据协作网的24家三级医院的极/超早产儿产房过渡期管理实施情况进行横断面调查,调查内容包括产前准备、产房复苏实施和新生儿重症监护室复苏后管理。根据胎龄将所纳入早产儿分为4组:<26周、26~28^(+6)周、29~30^(+6)周和31~31^(+6)周组,对结果进行描述性分析。结果共纳入140例极/超早产儿,其中<26周组10例,26~28^(+6)周组45例,29~30^(+6)周组49例,31~31^(+6)周组36例。140例极/超早产儿中,99例(70.7%)接受了产前咨询,提供产前咨询的人员以产科医生为主,占比为79.8%;产时参与复苏的人员主要为助产士(96.4%)和新生儿科住院医师(62.1%);52例(37.1%)实施了延迟脐带结扎,平均延迟时间为(45±17)s;137例(97.9%)生后采用了预热辐射台保暖;110例(78.6%)需要正压通气,其中67例(60.9%)采用T组合复苏器,42例(38.2%)应用了空氧混合仪;119例(85.0%)复苏中进行了血氧饱和度监测;完成过渡期各项措施至关闭温箱门时间的中位数为87min。结论在深圳新生儿数据协作网医院中,极/超早产儿的产房过渡期管理实施与我国相应专家共识的要求存在不同程度的差异,需要通过多中心协作的持续质量改进缩小差距,从而改善极/超早产儿产房过渡期管理的质量和结局。

Preliminary Palynostratigraphic Data on the Middle Albian-Lower Cenomanian of the Tarfaya Basin, Southwest Morocco

The Tarfaya-Laayoune-Boujdour basin is of great interest to oil exploration;on this aspect, there has been exploration by the Moroccan National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mining, which has shown indices of oil and/or gas recorded in most wells drilled in the Moroccan Atlantic margin. FD-1 well, object of this study, is one of these wells located in the offshore Tarfaya-Laayoune-Boujdour basin. A palynological examination of the processed samples revealed the existence of organic palynomorphs, well conserved and rich in dinoflagellate cysts. The latter are composed of worldwide marker taxa of high stratigraphic resolutions. Thus, the middle upper Albian (3408 - 3408.5 m) is determined by the presence of Cribroperidinium tensiftense, Tehamadinium coummia, Spiniferella cornuta, Chichaouadinium vestitum, Dinopterygium alatum and Litosphaeridium arundum. The upper Albian (3406.5 - 3408 m) is characterized by the FOs of marker taxa: Cyclonephelium chabaca, Cribroperidinium auctificum and Chichaouadinium vestitum. Lastly, the upper Albian-lower Cenomanian transition is defined between 3404 m and 3406.50 m, as suggested by the FOs of Chichaouadinium boydii, Dinopterygium tuberculatum, Sepispinula ancorifera, Litosphaeridium conispinum, Prolixosphaeridium conulum and Xenascus ceratioides.

Magnesium is an excellent material in terms of biocompatibility and its corrosion products can serve as an active source for new bone ***,localized corrosion and H_(2)generation limit the potential of Mg-based *** low-alloyed Mg-zn wires can strongly reduce problems with large H_(2)bubbles and improve the mechanical properties considerably while maintaining excellent long-term *** pickling and a polymer coating can be effectively used to lower the rate of in vivo *** this work,microstructural,mechanical,and in vitro characterization of 250μm and 300μm extruded wires made from ultra-pure Mg,commercially pure Mg,Mg-0.15zn,Mg-0.4zn and Mg-1zn was ***,Mg-0.4zn wires together with a variant coated with a copolymer of L-lactide andε-caprolactone were tested in vivo on artificially damaged Wistar rat *** on the observed Mg-induced osteogenesis,polymer-coated Mg wires with a small addition of zn are a perspective material for bone-support applications,such as cerclage and fixation wires.

Background: In Sub-Saharan Africa, pre-eclampsia remains a major health problem contributing to high rates of maternal mortality. Despite this condition having adverse effects on maternal and child health, its prevalence and associated risk factors are still significant, especially in developing countries including Ghana. This study aimed to assess the prevalence and demographic distributions associated with pre-eclampsia among pregnant women at the Ho Teaching Hospital. Methods: A facility-based retrospective study was conducted by reviewing available data or hospital records of pregnant mothers admitted to the labor and maternity wards from January 2018 to December 2020. All pregnant women who were diagnosed with pre-eclampsia within this period were included in the study. The data were collected using a structured checklist. Results: 5609 data on pregnant women from 2018 to 2020 were recorded. Out of the 5609 data recorded, 314 pre-eclampsia cases were recorded giving an overall prevalence of 5.6%. The yearly prevalence for 2018, 2019, and 2020 were 4.6%, 5.6%, and 6.6%, respectively. The most recorded pre-eclampsia cases were seen among women within the age group of 18 - 24 years. The data showed that 112 (35.7%) of the pregnant women who had pre-eclampsia were nulliparous. Pre-eclampsia-associated maternal and fetal complications were;preterm delivery 221 (70.4%), intrauterine fetal death 62 (19.7%), eclampsia 9 (2.9%), HELLP syndrome 5 (1.6%) and maternal death 17 (5.4%). Associated factors of pre-eclampsia were parity, level of education, and occupation (p ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: The findings of this study showed a rising trend in the incidence of pre-eclampsia over the years at the Ho Teaching Hospital. Parity, level of education, and occupation were found to be associated with developing pre-eclampsia.
