Background: Hy.oxia is a significant risk factor of hy.ertension. However, no studies have used transcutaneous tissue partial pressure of oxy.en (TcPO2) and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (TcPCO2) monitors to measure the respective partial pressures in healthy.individuals. Oxy.en saturation (SpO2) is often used for traditional monitoring of vital signs. This study.investigated the changes in TcPO2 and SpO2 values during rapid changes in altitude. The trial was registered at *** (registration no. NCT06076057). Methods: Healthy.adult volunteers were instructed to sit vertically.in a hy.obaric oxy.en chamber, which ascended from 0 m to 2500 m at a uniform speed within 10 min. The Danish Radiometer TCM4 was used to measure TcPO2 and TcPCO2 with the ventral side of the upper arm as the measurement site. The Shenz.en Kerokan P0D-1 W pulse oximeter was used to measure heart rate and SpO2, with values recorded once every.500 m. Results: Altogether, 49 healthy.volunteers were recruited between March 2023 and August 2023. With increasing altitude, TcPO2 and SpO2 decreased significantly.(P y.at 500 m (P y.at 1000 m (P y.significant changes in TcPO2 and SpO2 (P 500 m, statistical significance was identified between TcPO2 in both sexes (P y.changing low-pressure hy.oxic environments, TcPO2 changed more dramatically.than SpO2 © Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. Decellularised extracellular matrix (dECM) is a biomaterial derived from natural tissues that has attracted considerable attention from tissue engineering researchers due to its exceptional biocompatibility.and malleability.attributes. These advantageous properties often facilitate natural cell infiltration and tissue reconstruction for regenerative medicine. Due to their excellent fluidity. the injectable hy.rogels can be administered in a liquid state and subsequently.formed into a gel state in vivo, stabilising the target area and serving in a variety.of way., such as support, repair, and drug release functions. Thus, dECM-based injectable hy.rogels have broad prospects for application in complex organ structures and various tissue injury.models. This review focuses on exploring research advances in dECM-based injectable hy.rogels, primarily.focusing on the applications and prospects of dECM hy.rogels in tissue engineering. Initially. the recent developments of the dECM-based injectable hy.rogels are explained, summarising the different preparation methods with the evaluation of injectable hy.rogel properties. Furthermore, some specific examples of the applicability.of dECM-based injectable hy.rogels are presented. Finally. we summarise the article with interesting prospects and challenges of dECM-based injectable hy.rogels, providing insights into the development of these composites in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. © 2024, Chinese Medical Multimedia Press Co Ltd. Preliminary.Application of High-Frequency.Ultrasound in the Differentiation of Pemphigus and Bullous Pemphigoid: An Observational Study

Objective: Ultrasonography.is a diagnostic imaging technique used to visualiz. subcutaneous body.structures for identification of possible pathologies. In this study. we aimed to explore the clinical significance of high-frequency.ultrasound in differentiating the location of blisters between pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid. Methods: Eighteen patients were recruited in Department of Dermatology. z.ongda Hospital from 2020 to 2021 and divided into a pemphigus group (n = 8) and a bullous pemphigoid group (n = 10) according to the diagnostic criteria for each. Ultrasonographic images were collected using a 50-MHz.high-frequency.ultrasound sy.tem. The indexes of ultrasonic evaluation were the lay.r (epidermis or dermis), siz., shape, internal echo, and boundary.of the blister. Categorical variables are expressed as n (%), and differences were compared using Fisher's exact test. Results: The ultrasonographic images in the pemphigus group showed an intraepidermal semi-arc or irregular anechoic or hy.oechoic areas. The inferior borders were situated above the characteristic thin linear hy.erechoic bands of the epidermis. A linear hy.oechoic band was present at the dermoepidermal junction in some cases. In the ultrasonographic images of the bullous pemphigoid group, the linear hy.erechoic bands of the epidermis were continuous and intact. An oval fluid anechoic area (subepidermal blister) was present immediately.below the bands. The location of the blisters in the ultrasonographic images was significantly.different between the 2 groups (P y.ultrasound can be used as an auxiliary.means to differentiate the location of blisters between pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid. © 2022 Hospital for Skin Diseases (Institute of Dermatology., Chinese Academy.of Medical Sciences, and Chinese Medical Association, published by.Wolters Kluwer, Inc.

Objective: Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) is a rare autosomal recessive dermatosis caused by.genetic defects of DNA repair. This study.was performed to detect and analy.0} the genes of 2 Uy.ur patients with XP and their families and assess the patients' phenoty.es, which may.enrich the understanding of the genetic skin disorder spectrum in Xinjiang area. Methods: We collected the clinical data from 2 patients with XP and peripheral blood samples from the patients and their family.members. The patients' DNA was sequenced and detected by.Sanger sequencing, and gene mutations were screened. Results: The proband in family.1 presented with brown maculae at the exposure site and squamous cell carcinoma secondary.to a facial rash. The proband had a homoz.gous nucleotide variation of XPC c.2251-2A> G (A change from A to G in the penultimate position of the intron before the 2251 position in the coding region), which was a shear mutation. In this family. both parents were heteroz.gous, and no similar mutation detected in the sister. In family.2, the proband had scattered black brown spots and papules on the trunk and limbs. and his y.unger sister was also a patient. The proband and his y.unger sister had homonucleotide variation of XPA c.631C> T, which was nonsense mutation, resulting in the codon for Arg No.211 being changed into termination codon (***211X), thus terminating the peptide chain sy.thesis prematurely. All the normal individuals in the two families were heteroz.gotes, and homoz.gous mutations occurred in all the patients, which was consistent with the autosomal recessive inheritance. Conclusion: XP is rare in Uy.ur population. This study.expanded the mutation spectrum of XP and provided a basis for early.diagnosis, treatment, prognostic prediction, and prenatal genetic consultation. © 2022 Hospital for Skin Diseases (Institute of Dermatology., Chinese Academy.of Medical Sciences, and Chinese Medical Association, published by.Wolters Kluwer, Inc.

B_(4)C/Al composites are widely.utiliz.d as neutron absorbing materials for the storage and transportation of spent nuclear *** order to improve the high-temperature mechanical properties of B_(4)C/Al composites,in-situ nano-Al_(2)O_(3)was introduced utiliz.ng oxide on Al powder *** this study.the Al_(2)O_(3)content was adjusted by.utiliz.ng spheroid Al powder with vary.ng diameters,thereby.investigating the impact of Al_(2)O_(3)content on the tensile properties of(B_(4)C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al *** was found that the pinning effect of Al_(2)O_(3)on the grain boundaries could hinder the recovery.of dislocations and lead to dislocation accumulation at high *** the result,with the increase in Al_(2)O_(3)content and the decrease in grain siz.,the high-temperature strength of the composites increased *** finest Al powder used in this investigation had a diameter of 1.4μm,whereas the resultant composite exhibited a maximum strength of 251 MPa at room temperature and 133 MPa at 350℃,surpassing that of traditional B_(4)C/Al composites.

In this study.a two-step method was used to sy.thesiz. highly.luminescent AgGaS/z.S/z.S quantum dots(QDs).In the first step,an inner z.S shell was formed via a one-pot method,which resulted in a smaller lattice mismatch between the AgGaS core and the outer z.S shell,thereby.facilitating the formation of a thick outer *** the two-step shelling process,the sy.thesiz.d AgGaS/z.S/z.S QDs showed an excellent photoluminescence quantum y.eld(PLQy.of 96.4%with a peak wavelength of 508 nm,repre-senting the highest PLQy.reported thus far for AgGaS ***,the effect of halogen ions in z. precursors on the shelling process was *** was proposed that the capacity.of halogen ions to coordinate with the QDs influenced the balance between z. cation diffusion and z.S shelling ***,the z.S shelling reaction was dominant when z.Cl_(2)was employ.d,while z. cation diffusion was the dominant process under the I^(−)-rich *** work provides insights into the interfacial restructuring during the z.S shelling and offers a clear map for the tailored sy.thesis of core/shell QDs.
