This study elaborates on the design,fabrication,and data analysis details of SPEED,a recently proposed smartphonebased digital polymerase chain reaction(dPCR)*** dPCR chips incorporate partition diameters ranging from 50μm to 5μm,and these partitions are organiz.d into six distinct block. to facilitate image *** to the superior thermal conductivity of Si and its potential for mass production,the dPCR chips were fabricated on a Si substrate.A temperature control system based on a high-power density Peltier element and a preheating/cooling PCR protocol user interface shortening the thermal cycle *** optical design employs four 470 nm light-emitting diodes as light sources,with filters and mirrors effectively managing the light emitted during *** algorithm is utiliz.d for image processing and illumination nonuniformity correction including conversion to a monochromatic format,partition identification,sk.w correction,and the generation of an image correction *** validated the device using a range of deoxyribonucleic acid targets,demonstrating its potential applicability across multiple ***,we provide guidance and verification of the design and testing of the recently proposed SPEED device.

Biodegradable z.nc-iron alloys: Complex study of corrosion behavior,mechanical properties and hemocompatibility

z.-Fe alloys have been extensively investigated in this study with a view to their application as biodegradable bone implants. Biogenic element z.nc is a very appropriate metal because of the ideal degradation rate compared to those of Mg and Fe. Studied alloys were made by compressing metallic powders in a content ratio of 100% z.,z.-1% Fe, z.-2% Fe, z.-5% Fe and z.-10% Fe and sintering at 350°C for 1 h. Prepared samples were examined by optical microscopy, SEM and XRD. Corrosion behavior, mechanical testing and hemocompatibility were observed subsequently. The electrochemical performance of such materials was studied in the simulated body fluids. The enhanced corrosion rate was observed for all samples after iron addition due to the micro-galvanic effect between the pure z. and z.;Fe intermetallic phase. The corrosion rate of the z.-5% Fe alloyed sample was more than 20-times higher（2.89 mmpy） compared to the pure z.. However, alloying with more than 5 wt %of iron diminished the mechanical performance of the material. Therefore, the performed mechanical and hemocompatibility tests showed acceptable biocompatibility of z.nc and z.-1% Fe and z.-2% Fe samples.

Deficiency of Adenomatous Polyposis Coli protein in sporadic colorectal adenomas and its associations with clinical phenotype and histology

AIM： To evaluate the frequency of the loss of the Adenomatous Polyposis Coil （APC） protein and to compare the APC status with the characteristics of colorectal adenomas. METHODS： Immunohistochemical analysis of the APC protein was performed on 118 adenomas and the results were compared with parameters of malignant potential, location of adenomas, macroscopic appearance and age of the patients. RESULTS： A complete loss of the APC protein was found in 28 （24%） adenomas, while 90 （76%） were APC positive. The mean siz. of adenomas was 13.5± 14.2 mm （95% CI 10.5-16.5） in APC-positive, and 13.8 ±15.5 mm （95% CI 7.8-19.8） in APC-negative adenomas （P = 0.364）. Statistical analysis revealed no difference between APC-positive and negative adenomas as to the histological type （P = 0.327） and grade of dysplasia （P =0.494）. We found that even advanced adenomas did not differ in their APC status from the non-advanced tumors （P = 0.414）. Finally, no difference was found when the location （P = 0.157）, macroscopic appearance （P = 0.571） and age of patients （P = 0.438） were analysed and compared between both APC positive and negative adenomas. CONCLUSION： Most adenomas expressed full-length APC protein, suggesting that protein expression is not a reliable mark.r for assessment of APC gene mutation. Complete loss of APC protein did not influence morphology, location, or appearance of adenomas, nor was it affected by the patient＇s age.

Analysis of Higher Order System with Impulse Exciting Functions in z.Domain

This paper deals with mathematical modelling of impulse waveforms and impulse switching functions used in electrical engineering. Impulse switching functions are later investigated using direct and inverse z.transformation. The results mak. possible to present those functions as infinite series expressed in pure numerical, exponential or trigonometric forms. The main advantage of used approach is the possibility to calculate investigated variables directly in any instant of time;dynamic state can be solved with the step of sequences (T/6, T/12) that means very fast. Theoretically derived waveforms are compared with simulation work.d-out results as well as results of circuit emulator LT spice which are given in the paper.

To enhance the stability of traffic flow,a new car-following model is proposed by tak.ng into account the support of intelligent transportation system(ITS)information,which includes both the headway and the velocity difference of multiple preceding *** new model is based on the Optimal Velocity(ov)model and its extended *** stability condition of the model is obtained by using the linear stability *** nonlinear analysis,the modified k.rteweg-de Vries equation is constructed and solved,and the traffic flow is classified into three types,***,metastable,and *** jam phase can thus be described by the k.nk.antik.nk.soliton solution for the mk.V *** numerical simulation results show that compared with previous models considering only one of the ITS information,the proposed model can suppress traffic jams more efficiently when both headway and velocity difference of arbitrary preceding cars are tak.n into *** results of numerical simulation coincide with the theoretical ones.

Forest stands in the semi-arid environment of northern Mongolia have an essential role in controlling ongoing desertification in the surrounding *** the last decade,the total forest area has decreased *** aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of natural regeneration as an essential element for ensuring sustainability of these *** on field measurements from 120 plots in six sites,our assessment tool revealed five qualitative categories of forest regeneration,allowing us to assess impacts of both graz.ng and environmental conditions on the regeneration *** is a crucial factor and adversely affects *** sites with relatively low graz.ng intensity,low soil moisture levels represent the main reason for reduced *** approach to classification proposed in this study allows for the identification and interpretation of stand conditions where natural regeneration has *** study provides an important foundation to inform decisionmak.ng related to land protection and restoration *** findings could be used in comparative studies and,importantly,may aid further mapping of Mongolian forests.

Objective: To assess trends in blood pressure (BP) levels, prevalence, awareness , and control of hypertension in the Cz.ch population from 1985 to 2000/01. Desi gn: Five independent cross sectional population surveys conducted in 1985, 1988 , 1992, 1997/98, and 2000/01. Setting: Six, mostly rural, districts of the Cz.ch Republic (Praha vchod, Beneov, Pardubice, Chrudim, Cheb, and Hradec). Part icipants: Men and women aged 25-64 years randomly selected from six districts u sing the National Population Register/General Health Insurance Company Register (covering, by law, all citiz.ns). The total number of participants was 11 726. M ain outcome measures: We assessed the mean systolic BP, diastolic BP and pulse p ressure, prevalence of hypertension (systolic BP≥140 mmHg and/or diastolic BP≥ 90 mmHg, or current treatment with antihypertensive drugs), awareness, treatment , and control of hypertension. Results: Mean systolic BP, diastolic BP, and puls e pressure decreased significantly over a period of 15/16 years. This was associ ated with a significant decrease in the prevalence of hypertension (from 47.1 to 39.1%, Pk.ng antihypertensive medication, and their hyp ertension was better controlled. Conclusion: The reduction in population BP and improved control of hypertension may have contributed to the decrease in cerebro vascular and coronary heart disease mortality in the Cz.ch Republic. The positiv e longitudinal changes seen in the MONICA regions need not necessarily reflect t he situation in the country as a whole. The situation is far from being optimal; a major problem is inadequate treatment of hypertension.

目的探讨正畸治疗最后阶段的效果。方法共收集上下颌牙齿排列拥挤而未见颌骨位置异常的32例患者,随机分为两组各16例。A组患者采用传统正畸治疗即直丝弓矫治器托槽主动自我结扎技术,B组患者在矫正开始时通过重新再固定托槽的方法间接粘合。在正畸治疗结尾检验两组患者在正中咬合及正中关系的牙列闭合,采用下颌位置指示器(mandibular position indicator,MPI)定义下颌关节头在正中咬合及正中关系的不同位置。数据处理采用Mann-Whitney秩和检验,Pz.49.5、68.0,均Pz.ΔX平均值均低于A组,差异均有统计学意义(z.42.0、16.5、76.5、97.0,均P<0.05)。MPI指数与后牙颊-舌侧倾斜面正确大小呈正相关(r=0.10,P<0.05)。结论在结尾步骤运用ABO记存模型数量分数系统,然后在不正确的位置用托槽间接粘结的方法重新再固定,有助于有效提升MPI指数,可接受为最准确和最稳定的正畸治疗结果。
