Prediction and Regulation of Delamination at Flexible Film/Finite-Thickness-Substrate Structure Interfaces

Regulating the surface instability of thin film/substrate structures has been successfully applied to prepare new ductile electronic ***,such electronic devices need to be subjected to external loads during operation,which can easily induce delamination of the thin-film electronic device from the *** study aims to investigate the instability characteristics of hard films on flexible substrate surfaces from theoretical analysis and numerical simulation *** finite-thickness substrates,this paper establishes theoretical models for pure bending,bent wrinkle,partial delamination,and total delamination buckling of film/substrate structures based on the nonlinear Euler–Bernoulli beam theory and the principle of minimum energy;then the effects of material and geometric parameters of the structure,interfacial adhesion strength,and pre-strain on the evolutionary path of the four patterns are *** study results show that:the greater Young’s modulus of the substrate is,the larger the parameter region where partial delamination of the film/substrate structure occurs,and the smaller the parameter region where bent wrinkle *** varying Young’s modulus,thickness of the film and substrate,interfacial adhesion coefficient,and pre-strain,the buckling pattern of the structure can be predicted and *** parametric design intervals for each pattern are summarized in the phase *** results of this paper provide theoretical support for the design and reliability evaluation of flexible electronic devices.

Due to negative effects of conventional fluorinated surfactants with long perfluorocarbon chain(C_(x)F_(2x+1),x≥7)like perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)and perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS),these conventional long perfluorocarbon chain surfactants have been restricted in many industrial ***,their potential non-bioaccumulable alternatives have been developed to meet the requirements of environmental sustainable *** this paper,the recent advances of potential non-bioaccumulable fluorinated surfactants with different fluorocarbon chain structures,including the short perfluorocarbon chain,the branched fluorocarbon chain,and the fluorocarbon chain with weak points,are reviewed from the aspects of synthesis processes,properties,and structure-activity *** their applications in emulsion polymerization of fluorinated olefins,handling membrane proteins,and leather manufacture also are ***,the challenges embedded in the current non-bioaccumulable fluorinated surfactants are also highlighted and discussed with the hope to provide a valuable reference for the prosperous development of fluorinated surfactants.

Strong synergistic effect of cationic hydrocarbon surfactant and novel nonionic tri-block short-chain fluorocarbon surfactant mixtures on surface activity, wettability and solubilization

Mixing hydrocarbon surfactants with fluorocarbon surfactants is still an important strategy to improve the economic benefits and performances of fluorocarbon surfactants and expand their range of ***,we prepared a novel kind of hydrocarbon-fluorocarbon surfactant mixtures via mixing a cationic surfactant,cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB),with a tri-block nonionic short-chain fluorocarbon surfactant(F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9))in aqueous *** results showed that adding a small CTAB amount to F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9)(the molar fraction of CTAB in the mixture(x_(1))was 0.2)could greatly reduce its critical micelle concentrations(cmc)from 0.408mmol/L to 0.191 mmol/*** this x_(1),the contact angle of the mixture was the minimum(57.7°)at 100 s on polytetrafluoroethylene film,which was even lower than that of F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9).Besides,CTAB/F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9) mixtures possessed better colloidal stability and solubilization ability toward hydrophobic dye(SudanІ)than F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9).The outstanding performances of binary surfactant mixtures benefited from the non-ideal mixing and strong synergistic effect evidence that CTAB/F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9) surfactant mixtures could be used in practical applications instead of individual F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9),thereby reducing the used cost of F_(9)EG_(13)F_(9).

Parallel Physics-Informed Neural Networks Method with Regularization Strategies for the Forward-Inverse Problems of the Variable Coefficient Modified KdV Equation

This paper mainly introduces the parallel physics-informed neural networks(PPINNs)method with regularization strategies to solve the data-driven forward-inverse problems of the variable coefficient modified Korteweg-de Vries(VC-MKdV)*** the forward problem of the VC-MKdV equation,the authors use the traditional PINN method to obtain satisfactory data-driven soliton solutions and provide a detailed analysis of the impact of network width and depth on solving accuracy and ***,the author finds that the traditional PINN method outperforms the one with locally adaptive activation functions in solving the data-driven forward problems of the VC-MKdV *** for the data-driven inverse problem of the VC-MKdV equation,the author introduces a parallel neural networks to separately train the solution function and coefficient function,successfully addressing the function discovery problem of the VC-MKdV *** further enhance the network’s generalization ability and noise robustness,the author incorporates two regularization strategies into the *** amount of numerical experimental data in this paper demonstrates that the PPINNs method can effectively address the function discovery problem of the VC-MKdV equation,and the inclusion of appropriate regularization strategies in the PPINNs can improves its performance.

Deep-reinforcement-learning-based UAV autonomous navigation and collision avoidance in unknown environments

In some military application scenarios,Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)need to perform missions with the assistance of on-board cameras when radar is not available and communication is interrupted,which brings challenges for UAV autonomous navigation and collision *** this paper,an improved deep-reinforcement-learning algorithm,Deep Q-Network with a Faster R-CNN model and a Data Deposit Mechanism(FRDDM-DQN),is proposed.A Faster R-CNN model(FR)is introduced and optimized to obtain the ability to extract obstacle information from images,and a new replay memory Data Deposit Mechanism(DDM)is designed to train an agent with a better *** training,a two-part training approach is used to reduce the time spent on training as well as retraining when the scenario *** order to verify the performance of the proposed method,a series of experiments,including training experiments,test experiments,and typical episodes experiments,is conducted in a 3D simulation *** results show that the agent trained by the proposed FRDDM-DQN has the ability to navigate autonomously and avoid collisions,and performs better compared to the FRDQN,FR-DDQN,FR-Dueling DQN,YOLO-based YDDM-DQN,and original FR outputbased FR-ODQN.

Phase field modeling of ferroelastic variant switching in yttria-stabilized t'zirconia with strain gradient elasticity and interface tension

The 6–8 wt%yttria-stabilized zirconia with a tetragonal structure(t’-YSZ)is extensively employed in thermal barrier *** exceptional fracture toughness of t’-YSZ can be attributed to its distinctive ferroelastic toughening *** and interface tension play a critical role in ferroelastic variant switching at the micro-and *** paper presents an original thermodynamically consistent phase field(PF)theory for analyzing ferroelastic variant switching at the micro-and nano-scale of t’-*** theory incorporates strain gradient elasticity using higher-order elastic energy and interface tension tensor via geometric nonlinearity to represent biaxial tension resulting from interface ***,a mixed-type formulation is employed to implement the higher-order theory through the finite element *** an interface in equilibrium,the effects of strain gradient elasticity result in a more uniform distribution of stresses,whereas the presence of interface tension tensor significantly amplifies the stress magnitude at the *** introduction of an interface tension tensor increases the maximum value of stress at the interface by a factor of 4 to *** nucleation and evolution of variants at a pre-existing crack tip in a mono-phase t’-YSZ have also been *** strain gradient elasticity is capable of capturing the size effect of ferroelastic variant switching associated with microstructures in ***,when the grain size approaches that of the specimen,the critical load required for variant switching at the crack tip increases,resulting in greater dissipation of elastic energy during ferroelastic variant ***,the interface tension accelerates the evolution of *** presented framework exhibits significant potential in modeling ferroelastic variant switching at the micro-and nano-scale.
