Gastric cancer with peritoneal metastases: Efficiency of standard treatment methods

Ecological and habitat ranges of orchids in the northernmost regions of their distribution areas:A case study from Ural Mountains,Russia

The Orchidaceae,which is one of the most interesting families of angiosperms,contains a large number of rare *** their acknowledged importance,little attention has been paid to the study of orchids distributed in northern *** this study,we determined the syntaxonomical diversity and ecological parameters of orchid habitats in two of Europe's largest protected areas,the Pechoro-Ilychsky Reserve and the Yugyd Va National Park(northeastern European Russia),and then compared our findings to those in other parts of orchid distribution *** this purpose,we studied 345 descriptions of plant communities(releves) containing species from Orchidaceae and defined habitat parameters using Ellenberg indicator values with the community weight mean approach,nonmetric multidimensional scaling(NMS),and relative niche *** found that orchids were distributed in eight habitat types and 97 plant *** largest number of orchid species is found in forest *** of the orchid species under study occur in the mires and rock habitats with open *** orchids consistently occur in areas disturbed by human *** addition,our study indicates that the main drivers of orchid distribution across the vegetation types are light and soil *** analysis of the ecological parameters of orchid habitats indicates that some orchid species can be classified as habitat specialists that are confined to a relatively narrow ecological niche in the Urals(e.g.,Goodyera repens,Cypripedium guttatum and Dactylorhiza maculata).Several other species(*** cordata and Dactylorhiza fuchsia) grow under diverse ecological parameters.

Regularities in the E. coli promoters composition in connection with the DNA strands interaction and promoter activity

The energy of interaction between DNA strands in promoters is of great functional importance. Visualization of the energy of DNA strands distribution in promoter sequences was achieved. The separation of promoters in groups by their energetic properties enables evaluation of the dependence of promoter strength on the energetic properties. The analysis of groups (clusters) of promoters distributed by the energy of DNA strands interaction in ?55, ?35, ?10 and +6 sequences indicates their connection with the transcriptional activity.

Eukaryotic genomes encode thousands of non-coding RNAs （ncRNAs）, which play cru- cial roles in transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. Accumulating evidence indicates that ncRNAs, especially microRNAs （miRNAs） and long ncRNAs （lncRNAs）, have emerged as key regulatory molecules in plant stress responses. In this review, we have summa- rized the current progress on the understanding of plant miRNA and incRNA identification, characteristics, bioinformatics tools, and resources, and provided examples of mechanisms of miRNA- and lncRNA-mediated plant stress tolerance.

City Communal Aspiration System—City without Chimneys

Gas emissions are produced by each economic entity individually—whether they are a large industrial enterprise, a boiler-house or a household (dwelling house). At that, in addition to visible chimneys, there are a lot of hidden (unrecorded) sources of emissions in form of ventilation branch pipes. Communal systems for removal and reprocessing of wastes of two types: liquid (municipal sewage lines) and solid (collection and removal of wastes) are operated in populated localities. For the third type of waste—gaseous—a similarly municipal structure does not exist. For the time being there is no possibility for full system control and neutralization of dust and gas wastes because there is no system in the physical form which would enable comprehensive receipt of exit gases from all the city sources for further processing thereof. It is for the first time when a principally new holistic approach to cleaning/treatment of all city dust and gas emissions (wastes) is proposed which consists in creation of a City Communal Aspiration System (Municipal Aspiration System) containing a city communal aspiration network (gas outlets) for receipt/transportation of exhaust (flue) gases and a plant for utilization of such wastes connected to such network. In other words, it is proposed to organize a “City without Chimneys”. The proposed solution permits to remove mass unsystematic and uncontrolled emissions of environmentally harmful gas wastes in cities, reduce climate risks and make the transition to a new level of organization of environmental planning and management and, therefore, eliminates or principally simplifies many ecological difficulties and restrictions in urban planning (inseparably related to ecology) in sanitary rules and standards.

Theory of Byuon and Pharmaceuticals of the Future

The article considers the quantum information channel (QIC) described by the byuon theory (BT)—the theory of the appearance of the world around us: physical space, the world of ultimate particles, living matter etc., based on the interaction of non-observable objects (the byuons) nature. The information transporter in the QIC is object 4b (four contact interaction of the four vacuum states of the byuon), carrying information about the information image of the object in physical space—a quantum medium formed by objects 4b. The article proposes a hypothetical model explaining the effects of ultra-high dilutions of chemical and biological substances (UHDS), the search for the physical nature of the action of which is currently underway. UHDS could be the base of the pharmaceutical industry of the future.

Dependence of the E. coli promoter strength and physical parameters upon the nucleotide sequence

The energy of interaction between complementary nucleotides in promoter sequences of E. coli was calculated and visualized. The graphic method for presentation of energy properties of promoter sequences was elaborated on. Data obtained indicated that energy distribution through the length of promoter sequence results in picture with minima at –35, –8 and +7 regions corresponding to areas with elevated AT (adenine-thymine) content. The most important difference from the random sequences area is related to –8. Four promoter groups and their energy properties were revealed. The promoters with minimal and maximal energy of interaction between complementary nucleotides have low strengths, the strongest promoters correspond to promoter clusters characterized by intermediate energy values.

The functional state of local immunity in the female genital tract during the HPV-infection

【Objective】 The study was aimed to assess the state of antigen-presenting cells(APC) and humoral immunity in the female genital tract during the HPV-infection.【Method】 This study was conducted at the sample of 30 females with verified HPV-infection.30 healthy females were examined as a *** functional state of APC was determined immunohystochemically by the frequency of the positive reaction to the major histocompatibility complex(MHC)-CII,CD1a and langerine in the samples of cervical *** following monoclonal antibodies were used: anti-DR(Dako),anti-CD1a(Dako) and anti-Langerine(LIR,Dardilly).The obtained data were analyzed statistically with performing Mann-Whitney test for independent *** data were analyzed using the software Statistica 7.0(StatSoft Inc.,USA) for Windows.【Result】 There was determined that the patients with the genital HPV-infection had the moderate deficiency of sIgA,IgА and IgG whereas IgM activity wasn't *** were also experienced the decrease of CD1a+ cells population as well as NHC-CII and Langerine+ DC in the cervical epithelium.【Conclusion】There is discussed the expedience to include the assessment of the functional state of APC of the patients with the HPV-infection into the national clinical protocols.

To control drug effects by detecting temperature difference between biologically active point（BAP）and intact area of skin for treatment of mental illness,a device is developed for monitoring the temperature of BAP and the dose medication and its change in real time to increase effectiveness of *** electrodes by Foll R method are used and BAP is determined based on topographic anatomical reference *** temperature values are measured by integral thermometers *** received data are processed and temperature difference is calculated and displayed under the control of microcontroller *** obtained data confirm the correlation between the temperature difference indicators BAP C7,Gi4 and neurological scales assessing severity of mental *** experimetal results show that the temperature difference can be criteria for evaluating the effects of drugs,which is the basis for computer control systems of of medical process of mental patients.
