The local topological properties of black hole systems can be expressed through winding numbers as *** date,AdS black hole thermodynamics are often depicted by the dual parameters of(T,S),(P,V),(Φ,Q) in the extended phase space,while there have been several studies on the black hole thermodynamics in the restricted phase *** this paper,we analyze the topological properties of charged AdS black holes in the restricted phase space under the higher-dimension and higher-order curvature gravity *** results show that the topological number of the charged black hole in the same canonical ensembles is a constant and is independent of the concrete dual thermodynamical ***,the topological number in the grand canonical ensemble is different from that in the canonical ensemble for the same black hole ***,these results are independent of dimension d and highe st order k of the Lanczos-Lovelock densities.

Surface modification of graphite anode with electroactive matters has been proven of a more practical strategy in enhancing the performance of Li-ion batteries than exploring alternative novel anode ***,rutile TiNbO_(4-x) nanoparticles with a tunnel structure are employed as multifunctional decoration substances in combination with a carbon coating layer to improve the rate and cycle properties of mesocarbon microbeads(MCMBs).As compared to pristine MCMB,the Li^(+)diffusion coefficients of the composite anodes are enhanced due to the synergistic effect of TiNbO_(4-x)@***,the overcharge and voltage polarization of the composite anodes at high rate are obviously minimized due to the current sharing effect of the high-potential TiNbO_(4-x).Moreover,the amorphous Li_(y)TiNbO_(4-x) converted from TiNbO_(4-x) in the initial lithiation process can deliver pseudocapacitive capacity to the composite anodes from the second *** of these functions of TiNbO_(4-x)@Ccoating layer have directly contributed to the improved rate and cycle performance of the MCMB/TiNbO_(4-x)@C composite *** one containing 12.0 wt%TiNbO_(4-x) exhibits a high reversible specific capacity of 118 m Ah·g^(-1)at 10C(1C=372 m A·g^(-1)),together with a high capacity retention of 90.9%after 300 cycles at 3C,which are all much superior to those of pristine MCMB.

BACKGROUND To avoid acute variceal bleeding in cirrhosis,current guidelines recommend screening for high-risk esophageal varices(EVs)by determining variceal size and identifying red wale ***,visual measurements of EV during routine endoscopy are often *** To determine whether biopsy forceps(BF)could be used as a reference to improve the accuracy of binary classification of variceal *** An in vitro self-made EV model with sizes ranging from 2 to 12 mm in diameter was *** online image-based survey comprising 11 endoscopic images of simulated EV without BF and 11 endoscopic images of EV with BF was assembled and sent to 84 *** endoscopists were blinded to the actual EV size and evaluated the 22 images in random *** The respondents included 48 academic and four private *** accuracy of EV size estimation was low in both the visual(13.81%)and BF-based(20.28%)*** use of open forceps improved the ability of the endoscopists to correctly classify the varices by size(small≤5 mm,large>5 mm)from 71.85%to 82.17%(P<0.001).CONCLUSION BF may improve the accuracy of EV size assessment,and its use in clinical practice should be investigated.

Layered materials exhibit different electronic and phonon properties along in-plane and out-of-plane directions;existing studies focus on their in-plane behaviors,and the influence of such anisotropies on the dynamics of photocarriers and phonons is ***,we fabricate layered PdSe_(2)crystals with flat edge surfaces and compare the time-resolved ultrafast spectroscopies on their basal and edge *** differences in the transient reflection spectroscopies reveal the inconsistent photocarrier and phonon dynamics behaviors on the two surfaces:the slow hot carrier relaxation process is accelerated and the thermoelasticity-induced longitudinal coherent acoustic phonon oscillation completely vanishes on the edge surface,as compared with the basal *** analysis reveals that the inconsistent hot carrier dynamics originate from the anisotropic properties of low-energy phonons in PdSe_(2),and the absence of phonon oscillation on the edge surface results from the wavevector-limited sensitivity of acoustic B_(1u)***,polarization-dependent spectroscopies indicate the diverse optical anisotropies beyond the in-plane of PdSe_(2).This work provides a new method to explore unique physical properties and modulate the optical anisotropy of layered materials.

Persephin, together with glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor and neurturin, has a neurotrophic effect and promotes the survival of motor neurons cultured in vitro. In this study, dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of rats were transfected with the Persephin gene. One week later 6-hydroxydopamine was injected into the anterior medial bundle to establish a Parkinson＇s disease model in the rats. Results found that the number of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra increased, tyrosine hydroxylase expression was upregulated and concentrations of dopamine and its metabolites in corpus striatum were increased after pretreatment with Persephin gene. In addition, the rotating effect of the induced Parkinson＇s disease rats was much less in the group pretreated with the Persephin gene. Persephin has a neuroprotective effect on the 6-hydroxydopamine-induced Parkinson＇s disease through protecting dopaminergic neurons.

Aiming to solve the bottleneck problem of electromagnetic scattering simulation in the scenes of extremely large-scale seas and ships,a high-frequency method by using graphics processing unit(GPU)parallel acceleration technique is *** the implementation of different electromagnetic methods of physical optics(PO),shooting and bouncing ray(SBR),and physical theory of diffraction(PTD),a parallel computing scheme based on the CPU-GPU parallel computing scheme is realized to balance computing ***,a multi-GPU framework is further proposed to solve the computational difficulty caused by the massive number of ray tubes in the ray tracing *** using the established simulation platform,signals of ships at different seas are simulated and their images are achieved as *** is shown that the higher sea states degrade the averaged peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)of radar image.

BACKGROUND Intracranial high-density areas(HDAs)have attracted considerable attention for predicting clinical outcomes;however,whether HDAs predict worse neurological function and mental health remains controversial and unclear,which requires further *** this prospective study,96 patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS)who accepted endovascular mechanical thrombectomy(EMT)were *** enrolled patients underwent cranial computed tomography(CT)examination within 24 hours after *** data in terms of National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),the 3-month modified Rankin Scale(mRS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)scores were collected and compared between patients with HDAs and non-HDAs and between patients with good and poor clinical *** to patients without HDAs,patients with HDAs presented severe neurological deficits(admission NIHSS score:18±3 vs 19±4),were more likely to have post-stroke disabilities(mRS<3:35%vs 62%),and suffered more severe depression(SDS score:58±16 vs 64±13)and anxiety disorder(SAS score:52±8 vs 59±10).Compared to patients with a good prognosis,patients with a poor prognosis presented severe neurological deficits(admission NIHSS score:17±4 vs 20±3),were more likely to have HDAs on CT images(64%vs 33%),and suffered more severe depression(SDS score:55±19 vs 65±11)and anxiety(SAS score:50±8 vs 58±12).Multivariate analysis revealed that HDAs were independent nega-tive prognostic *** In conclusion,HDAs on CT images predicted poor prognosis and severe depressive and anxiety symptoms in patients with AIS who underwent EMT.
