Whole-brain CT Perfusion at Admission and During Delayed Time-window Detects the Delayed Cerebral Ischemia in Patients with Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Objective To evaluate the utility of computed tomography perfusion(CTP)both at admission and during delayed cerebral ischemia time-window(DCITW)in the detection of delayed cerebral ischemia(DCI)and the change in CTP parameters from admission to DCITW following aneurysmal subarachnoid *** Eighty patients underwent CTP at admission and during *** mean and extreme values of all CTP parameters at admission and during DCITW were compared between the DCI group and non-DCI group,and comparisons were also made between admission and DCITW within each *** qualitative color-coded perfusion maps were ***,the relationship between CTP parameters and DCI was assessed by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)*** With the exception of cerebral blood volume(P=0.295,admission;P=0.682,DCITW),there were significant differences in the mean quantitative CTP parameters between DCI and non-DCI patients both at admission and during *** the DCI group,the extreme parameters were significantly different between admission and *** DCI group also showed a deteriorative trend in the qualitative color-coded perfusion *** the detection of DCI,mean transit time to the center of the impulse response function(Tmax)at admission and mean time to start(TTS)during DCITW had the largest area under curve(AUC),0.698 and 0.789,*** Whole-brain CTP can predict the occurrence of DCI at admission and diagnose DCI during *** extreme quantitative parameters and qualitative color-coded perfusion maps can better reflect the perfusion changes of patients with DCI from admission to DCITW.

In vitro and in vivo antioxidative and hepatoprotective activity of aqueous extract of Cortex Dictamni

AIM To investigate the antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects of Cortex Dictamni aqueous extract(CDAE) in carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced liver damage in *** The in vitro antioxidant effect of CDAE was investigated using α,α-diphenyl-β-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH), 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS), β-carotene bleaching, reducing power, and thiobarbituric acid reactive substance assays. A linoleic acid system, including ferric thiocyanate(FTC) and thiobarbituric acid(TBA) assays, was used to evaluate the inhibition of lipid peroxidation. The in vivo hepatoprotective and antioxidant effects of CDAEagainst CCl4-induced liver damage were evaluated in Sprague-Dawley rats. Silymarin was used as a positive control. Liver damage was assessed by determining hepatic histopathology and liver marker enzymes in serum. Enzyme and non-enzyme antioxidant levels and lipid peroxide content were measured in the liver. Cytochrome P450 2E1(CYP2E1) protein expression was measured via immunohistochemical staining. Nuclear factor E2-related factor(Nrf2), heme oxygenase-1(HO-1), NAD(P)H quinine oxidoreductase 1(NQO1), and γ-glutamylcysteine synthetase catalytic subunit(γ-GCSc) protein expression was measured by Western *** Our results showed that CDAE exhibited a strong antioxidant activity in vitro. CDAE scavenged DPPH and ABTS radicals in a dose-dependent manner. CDAE inhibited lipid peroxidation with a lipid peroxide inhibition rate of 40.6% ± 5.2%. In the FTC and TBA assays, CDAE significantly inhibited lipid peroxidation(P < 0.01). In vivo histopathological studies indicated that CCl4-induced liver injury was alleviated following CDAE treatment in rats of both sexes. CDAE(160 and 320 mg/kg) significantly prevented CCl4-induced elevations of alkaline phosphatase, glutamate pyruvate transaminase, aspartate aminotransferase, and total bilirubin levels in rats of both sexes(P < 0.05, 0.01, or 0.001). Heart injury such as myocardial infarction leads to cardiomyocyte loss,fibrotic tissue deposition,and scar *** changes reduce cardiac contractility,resulting in heart failure,which causes a huge public health *** personnel,compared with civilians,is exposed to more stress,a risk factor for heart diseases,making cardiovascular health management and treatment innovation an important topic for military *** far,medical intervention can slow down cardiovascular disease progression,but not yet induce heart *** the past decades,studies have focused on mechanisms underlying the regenerative capability of the heart and applicable approaches to reverse heart *** have emerged from studies in animal models and early clinical *** interventions show the potential to reduce scar formation and enhance cardiomyocyte proliferation that counteracts the pathogenesis of heart *** this review,we discuss the signaling events controlling the regeneration of heart tissue and summarize current therapeutic approaches to promote heart regeneration after injury.

The underwater X-ray imaging technology development is significant to subaqueous target reconnaissance/detection/identification, subfluvial archaeology,submerged resource exploration, etc. As the core of X-ray imaging detection, the scintillator has been plagued by inherent moisture absorption and decomposition, and strict requirements for seamless packaging and ***, we designed a manganese-doped two-dimensional(2D) perovskite scintillator modified by hydrophobic longchain organic amine through the combination of component and doping engineering. The modified perovskites show high water repellency that can be used as an underwater X-ray scintillator. X-ray images of aquatic organisms or other objects with a high spatial resolution of10 lp·mm^(-1) at a big view field(32 mm × 32 mm) were obtained by scintillation screen. This hydrophobic perovskite scintillator based on molecular design is of great promise in underwater X-ray nondestructive testing technology development.

Cardiovascular diseases(CVD)are the leading cause of death in the world and one of the most common diseases in the elderly,with high prevalence and poor prognosis,which seriously affect the health of the elder *** report showed that global deaths from CVD increased from 12.4 million in 1990 to 19.8 million in 2022,reflecting the global population growth and aging,as well as the impact of metabolic,environmental,and behavioral risks.[1]With the progress of aging population,the burden of CVD in the elderly in China has increased year by year,and factors including multiple complications,organ function decline,and high complication rate have made the interventional treatment of CVD in the elderly one of the difficulties and focuses in the field of cardiology in China.

Ion mechanism of isoproterenol on delayed afterdepolarization and triggered activity in the infarcted ventricle

Objectives This study aimed at investigating the cellular mechanism of isoproterenol （ISO） on delayed afterdepolarizations （DADs） and triggered activity （TA） of the noninfarcted myocardium in the myocardial infarcted rabbit *** Rabbits with the left anterior descending coronary artery occlusion were prepared and recovered for 8 wk （healed myocardial infarction, HMI）. Myocytes were isolated from regions of the noninfarcted left ventricular free wall. ISO was added to cellular surface by perfusion way. Action potentials and ion currents were recorded with whole-cell patch clamp. Results The results showed that treatment with ISO induced more DADs and TA events in HMI myocytes. Iti and IC,_L of myocytes treated with ISO were increased significantly compared with HMI cells, which contributed to DADs-related triggered arrhythmia. Conclusions The results suggested that more arrhythmia events of DADs and TA developed in myocytes with ISO treatment. The underlying mechanism was associated with the augment of I6 and calcium influxing

Electron-distribution control via Pt/NC and MoC/NC dual junction:Boosted hydrogen electro-oxidation and theoretical study

The scarcity,high cost and susceptibility to CO of Platinum severely restrict its application in alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction(HOR).Hybridizing Pt with other transition metals provides an effective strategy to modulate its catalytic HOR performance,but at the cost of mass activity due to the coverage of modifiers on Pt ***,we constructed dual junctions'Pt/nitrogen-doped carbon(Pt/NC)andδ-MoC/NC to modify electronic structure of Pt via interfacial electron transfer to acquire Pt-MoC@NC catalyst with electron-deficient Pt nanoparticles,simultaneously endowing it with high mass activity and durability of alkaline ***,the unique structure of Pt-MoC@NC endows Pt with a high COtolerance at 1,000 ppm CO/H_(2),a quality that commercial Pt-C catalyst *** theoretical calculations not only confirm the diffusion of electrons from Pt/NC to Mo C/NC could occur,but also demonstrate the negative shift of Pt d-band center for the optimized binding energies of*H,*OH and CO.

Precise determination of the pole position of the exotic Z_(c)(3900)

We perform a unified description of the experimental data of the π^(+)π^(-)and J/ψπ^(±)invariant mass spectra for e^(+)e^(-)→J/ψπ^(+)π^(-)and the D^(0)D^(*-)mass spectrum for e^(+)e^(-)→D^(0)D^(*-)π^(+)at e^(+)e^(-)center-of-mass energies 4.23 and 4.26 *** analysis takes into account open-charm meson loops that contain triangle singularities,the J/ψπ-DD^(*)coupled-channel interaction respecting unitarity,and the strong ππ-KK final state interaction using dispersion *** analysis leads to a precise determination of the Z_(c)(3900)pole with the pole mass and width(3880.7±1.7_(stat)±22.4_(syst))MeV and(35.9±1.4_(stat)±15.3_(syst))MeV,respectively,and hints at that the DD^(*)molecular and non-molecular components are of similar importance in the Z_(c)(3900)formation.
