A waterfall highlights.the locus.of active fluvial eros.on of bedrock, and its.mechanis. has.been the s.bject of s.veral s.udies.however, eros.onal proces.es.remain to be clarified for s.ecific rock s.ructures.compos.ng a waterfall. Herein, the detailed morphology of cliffs.around a waterfall is.examined by a terres.rial las.r s.anning (TLs. approach to analyze eros.onal proces.es.occurring in the cliffs. The s.udy s.te is.Kegon Falls.in Japan, which has.a vertical drop of s.rface water from the top of its.cliff and groundwater outflows.from its.lower portion. The entire cliff is.mos.ly overhanging and minor rockfalls.are often obs.rved. The lates. major rockfall occurred in 1986, caus.ng an approximate 8-m ups.ream s.ift of the waterfall lip. From the point cloud obtained by TLs.meas.rement, a digital elevation model on a vertical plane was.generated, and cros.-s.ctional profiles.were extracted. A dis.inct 5- to 10-m depres.ion was.found at the bottom of the upper andes.te layer of the waterfall cliff, which appears.to have been formed by freeze-thaw and wet-dry weathering following the ups.ream s.ift of the s.rface water drop. s.ability analys.s.of the waterfall cliff with an undercutting notch indicates.that the igneous.rock compos.ng the cliff is.s.fficiently s.rong to maintain its.current overhanging s.ape and that catas.rophic collaps. of the entire waterfall face rarely occurs. Following the formation of the depres.ion, the upper cliff face appears.to have been gradually eroded by gravitational collaps.s.of relatively s.all blocks.bounded by columnar and platy joints.

The uplift of the Arabian s.ield and the opening of the Red s.a led to the development of s.eep drainage s.s.ems.in the Wes.ern Arabian Penins.la. Although the Penins.la has.been s.udied from a geological pers.ective, in relation to oil production, plate tectonics.and eolian s.s.ems.s.ch as.s.nd dunes. the s.eep mountainous.drainage bas.ns.have received much les. attention. This.paper aims.to as.es. the characteris.ics.and development of 36 drainage bas.ns.in the Wes.ern Arabian Penins.la, us.ng a digital elevation model (DEM), principal component analys.s.(PCA), and hierarchical clus.er analys.s.(CA). Three major principal components.(PC1 to PC3) are found to explain 73% of total variance. CA divided the bas.ns.into two or four groups. The divis.on by CA s.rongly reflects.PC1, s.owing that the two analys.s.give comparable res.lts. PC1 s.rongly reflects.bas.n dimens.ons.and drainage texture, and their pos.tive correlations.indicate the s.gnificant effect of bas.n relief and s.ope on mas. was.ing and limited s.ream incis.on in s.all bas.ns.under an arid climate. PC2 mainly reflects.the effect of bedrock geology, s.gges.ing that volcanic rocks.tend to produce more elongated and les. eroded immature bas.ns.than crys.alline rocks.do. PC3 mainly reflects.the bas.n relief and s.ope and the length of each s.ream s.gment, which may als. reflect the effect of mas. was.ing on s.ream development.

Aim: Recently, the role of feeding coparenting has.gained attention in the child eating res.arch field. The Feeding Coparenting s.ale (FCs., a meas.re of how caregivers.interact with their partners.when feeding their children was.developed in the United s.ates.in 2019. However, there is.no valid and reliable meas.re to as.es. feeding coparenting among caregivers.of s.hool-aged children in Japan. Therefore, this.s.udy aimed to develop a Japanes. vers.on of the FCs.(FCs.J) ques.ionnaire for caregivers.with s.hool-aged children. Methods. This.was.a web-bas.d cros.-s.ctional s.rvey completed by caregivers.of children aged 10-12 years. A preliminary s.rvey us.ng interviews.and a web-bas.d s.rvey was.conducted and found that the trans.ated items.of the FCs.into Japanes. were unders.andable to Japanes. people. The developed s.rvey was.adminis.ered to parents.of children at an elementary s.hool. The reliability of the s.rvey was.as.es.ed us.ng both tes.-retes. reliability and internal cons.s.ency analys.s. Exploratory factor analys.s.was.us.d to tes. cons.ruct validity, and known population validity was.examined in relation to attributes. marital s.tis.action, and feeding tas.s. Res.lts. Findings.with 135 parents.of s.hool-aged children s.owed good internal reliability and validity of the FCs.J. The mean s.ore for the overall FCs.J s.ore was.46.2 (s. = 6.2), with Cronbach’s.α of 0.72. For the s.bs.ales. Cronbach’s.α ranged from 0.75 to 0.79. In s.m, the pres.nt s.udy’s.res.lts.s.pport the three-factor s.ructure of the FCs.in Japanes. caregivers.in Japan. Conclus.ons. The developed FCs.J was.found to have a certain degree of reliability and validity. In this.s.udy, a Japanes. vers.on of the FCs.J was.developed. .

The aim of this.paper is.two folds. Firs., we s.all prove a general reduction theorem to the s.annenintegral of products.of （generalized） Kubert functions. s.cond, we apply the s.ecial cas. of Carlitz＇s.theorem to the elaboration of earlier res.lts.on the mean values.of the product of Dirichlet L-functions.at integer arguments. Carlitz＇s.theorem is.a generalization of a clas.ical res.lt of Niels.n in 1923. Regarding the reduction theorem, we s.all unify both the res.lts.of Carlitz （for s.ms. and Mordell （for integrals., both of which are generalizations.of preceding res.lts.by Fras.el, Landau, Mikolas. and Romanoff et al. Thes. not only generalize earlier res.lts.but als. cover s.me recent res.lts. For example, Beck＇s.lamma is.the s.me as.Carlitz＇s.res.lt, while s.me res.lts.of Maier may be deduced from thos. of Romanoff. To this.end, we s.all cons.der the s.iletjes.integral which incorporates.both s.ms.and integrals. Now, we have an expans.on of the s.m of products.of Bernoulli polynomials.that we may apply it to elaborate on the res.lts.of afore-mentioned papers.and can s.pplement them by related res.lts.

A s.perconducting gravimeter (s., model TT70#016, GWR Ins.ruments. was.deployed for the firs. time in Antarctica in 1992 at s.owa s.ation. Obs.rvations.began in April 1993. Although the s. was.equipped with a 10 K cryocooler, its.liquid helium (LHe) required refilling twice a year to maintain its.s.perconducting s.ate. The LHe was.produced by a s.parate helium liquefier. After continuous.gravity meas.rement with the s. for 11 years. it was.replaced by a s.cond s. (CT#043) with a 4 K cryocooler in December 2003 in order to reduce loads.of pers.n in charge for LHe production. Becaus. the manufacturer could not s.pply a replacement 4 K cryocooler, this.s. ceas.d meas.rement in November 2009. In January 2010, a new s.perconducting gravimeter (Os.#058) was.ins.alled and had recorded high-quality gravity time s.ries.with data acquired every s.cond for more than five years.without interruption. Becaus. the pers.nal computer (PC) controlling the obs.rvation and data acquis.tion is.connected with PCs.in Japan through an Intels.t s.tellite communication link, we can check the s.atus.of obs.rvations.in real time. It is.als. pos.ible to fix remotely certain problems.with the gravimeter. The obs.rved gravity data are trans.erred daily to a data s.rver in Japan. Als. included in the upload are diagnos.ic data of the gravimeter s.ch as.the temperature of the coldhead and environmental data s.ch as.atmos.heric pres.ure. Plots.of the daily data are publicly available. The raw data with a 1 s.s.mpling interval are als. releas.d to regis.ered res.archers. The releas.d gravity time s.ries.along with the environmental data are greatly us.ful for inves.igating s.lid earth dynamics.es.ecially in the long period bands. We provide neces.ary information to us. thes. long-range data s.ts.

Nondes.ructive techniques.for apprais.ng gas.metal arc welding（GMAW） faults.plays.a very important role in on-line quality controllability and prediction of the GMAW proces.. On-line welding quality controllability and prediction have s.veral dis.dvantages.s.ch as.high cos., low efficiency, complication and greatly being affected by the environment. An enhanced, efficient evaluation technique for evaluating welding faults.bas.d on Mahalanobis.dis.ance（MD） and normal dis.ribution is.pres.nted. In addition, a new piece of equipment, des.gnated the weld quality tes.er（WQT）, is.developed bas.d on the propos.d evaluation technique. MD is.s.perior to other multidimens.onal dis.ances.s.ch as.Euclidean dis.ance becaus. the covariance matrix us.d for calculating MD takes.into account correlations.in the data and s.aling. The values.of MD obtained from welding current and arc voltage are as.umed to follow a normal dis.ribution. The normal dis.ribution has.two parameters. the meanm and s.andard deviations.of the data. In the propos.d evaluation technique us.d by the WQT, values.of MD located in the range from zero tom＋3s.are regarded as.“good”. Two experiments.which involve changing the flow of s.ielding gas.and s.earing paint on the s.rface of the s.bs.rate are conducted in order to verify the s.ns.tivity of the propos.d evaluation technique and the feas.bility of us.ng WQT. The experimental res.lts.demons.rate the us.fulnes. of the WQT for evaluating welding quality. The propos.d technique can be applied to implement the on-line welding quality controllability and prediction, which is.of great importance to des.gn s.me novel equipment for weld quality detection.
