The distribution of measurement noise is usually assumed to be Gaussian in the optimal phasor measurement unit(PMU)placement(OPP)problem.However,this is not always accurate in practice.This paper proposes a new OPP method for smart grids in which the effects of conventional measurements,limited channels of PMUs,zero-injection buses(ZIBs),single PMU loss contingency,state estimation error(SEE),and the maximum SEE variance(MSEEV)are considered.The SEE and MSEEV are both obtained using a robust t-distribution maximum likelihood estimator(MLE)because t-distribution is more flexible for modeling both Gaussian and non-Gaussian noises.The A-and G-optimal experimental criteria are utilized to form the SEE and MSEEV constraints.This allows the optimization problem to be converted into a linear objective function subject to linear matrix inequality observability constraints.The performance of the proposed OPP method is verified by the simulations of the IEEE 14-bus,30-bus,and 118-bus systems as well as the 211-bus practical distribution system in China.

Uncertainties of renewable energy sources and load demand have a significant effect on the microgrid operation. In this paper, a robust optimal energy management approach is proposed for a grid-connected microgrid where the adjustable uncertain sets are used to represent uncertainties. A novel statistic index is developed to evaluate the effectiveness of the robust optimization and obtain reasonable model parameters. Moreover, the optimal economic cost and the least environmental pollution are achieved simultaneously. Simulation results in different scenarios are given to verify the effectiveness of the robust optimization approach.

Chromosomes in eukaryotic cell nuclei are highly compacted and finely organized into hierarchical threedimensional(3 D) configuration. In recent years, scientists have gained deeper understandings of 3 D genome structures and revealed novel evidence linking 3 D genome organization to various important cell events on the molecular level. Most importantly, alteration of 3 D genome architecture has emerged as an intriguing higher order mechanism that connects disease-related genetic variants in multiple heterogenous and polygenic neuropsychological disorders, delivering novel insights into the etiology. In this review, we provide a brief overview of the hierarchical structures of 3 D genome and two proposed regulatory models,loop extrusion and phase separation. We then focus on recent Hi-C data in the central nervous system and discuss 3 D genome alterations during normal brain development and in mature neurons. Most importantly,we make a comprehensive review on current knowledge and discuss the role of 3 D genome in multiple neuropsychological disorders, including schizophrenia, repeat expansion disorders, 22 q11 deletion syndrome, and others.

Liquid biopsy used molecular information in body liquid to perform early diagnosis,screening,monitoring,prognosis,and treatment of various diseases.Circulating free nucleic acids(cfNA)are important diagnostic biomarkers,providing a window to accurately and immediately observe the body's vital activity status.With the development of gene sequencing technology and bioinformatics technology,genetic,epigenetic,and fragtomics alterations that can be detected in cfDNA,as well as the expression level of miRNA and cf-mRNA can be quantified,this can reflect its tissue origin,gene regulation,genome evolution,and disease pathogenesis.This review focuses on the clinical utility of cfNA in different body liquids(blood,urine,bile),and discusses the diagnostic efficacy and accuracy of cfNA as diagnostic biomarkers in a variety of diseases.Blood is widely used to diagnose various tissue lesions for liquid biopsies as a body fluid circulating throughout the body,reflecting the state of the entire body.Bile and urine,as local circulating body fluids,can better reflect the changing state of tissues around the biliary tract and tissues around the bladder,respectively.In addition,normalized sample preservation,cfNA extraction,and detection procedures will help the practical application of cfNA in the clinic.

λ-Carrageenan is a highly sulfated polysaccharide alternating of 1,4-O-α-D-galactopyranose-2,6-sulfate(D2S,6S)and 1,3-O-β-D-galactopyranose-2-sulfate(G2S).λ-Carrageenases are desirable tools forλ-carrageenan degradation.Based on the genome mining,a novelλ-carrageenase Cgl150A_Wa was cloned from the bacterium Wenyingzhuangia aestuarii and expressed in Escherichia coli.Cgl150A_Wa was an endo-acting enzyme and exhibited its maximum activity at 30℃and pH 8.0.By employing a glycomics strategy that combined ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis and glycoinformatics,Cgl150A_Wa was proven to degradeλ-carrageenan octaose and hexaose,and the major hydrolysis product of Cgl150A_Wa wasλ-carrageenan tetrose.In addition to the typicalλ-carrageenan motifs,the active center of Cgl150A_Wa might tolerate desulfatedλ-carrageenan motifs.Cgl150A_Wa is a potential biotechnological tool for preparingλ-carrageenan oligosaccharides and structural investigation.

Natural gas hydrate is an energy resource for methane that has a carbon quantity twice more than all traditional fossil fuels combined.However,their practical application in the field has been limited due to the challenges of long-term preparation,high costs and associated risks.Experimental studies,on the other hand,offer a safe and cost-effective means of exploring the mechanisms of hydrate dissociation and optimizing exploitation conditions.Gas hydrate decomposition is a complicated process along with intrinsic kinetics,mass transfer and heat transfer,which are the influencing factors for hydrate decomposition rate.The identification of the rate-limiting factor for hydrate dissociation during depressurization varies with the scale of the reservoir,making it challenging to extrapolate findings from laboratory experiments to the actual exploitation.This review aims to summarize current knowledge of investigations on hydrate decomposition on the subject of the research scale(core scale,middle scale,large scale and field tests)and to analyze determining factors for decomposition rate,considering the various research scales and their associated influencing factors.

This paper focuses on the sea-surface weak target detection based on memory-fully convolutional network(M-FCN)in strong sea clutter.Firstly,the constant false alarm rate(CFAR)detection method utilizes a low threshold with high probability of false alarm to detect sea-surface weak targets after non-coherent integration.Reducing the detection threshold can generate a large number of false alarms while increasing the detection rate,and how to suppress a large number of false alarms is the key to improve the performance of weak target detection.Then,the detection result of the low threshold is operated to construct the target matrix suitable for the size of fully convolutional networks and the convolution operator form.Finally,the M-FCN architecture is designed to learn the different accumulation characteristics of the target and the sea clutter between different frames.For improving the detection performance,the historical multi-frame information is memorized by the network,and the end-to-end structure is established to detect sea-surface weak target automatically.Experimental results on measured data demonstrate that the M-FCN method outperforms the traditional track before detection(TBD)method and reduces false alarm tracks by 35.1%,which greatly improves the track quality.

Application of matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry imaging(MALDI-MSI) to investigate the spatiotemporal alterations of lipids in biological tissues has brought many significant results.However, the presence of structural isomers varying in C=C double bond(DB) locations makes isomerresolved MSI an urgent need. Herein, we introduce a new type of light-driven on-tissue [2 + 2] cycloaddition reaction coupled with MALDI-MS/MS imaging to identify lipid DB position isomers and their spatial signatures in biological tissues. 3-Benzoylpyridine was introduced as a novel derivatization reagent, and it exhibited great reactivity toward lipid C=C bond to form oxetanes under both ultraviolet light and visible light irradiation. With this approach, DB position isomers of lipids were imaged with highly differential levels in distinct regions of rat brain, providing an accurate and spatially resolved approach to study tissue lipidomics.
