The thermodynamic behavior of field equations for the generalized f(R) gravity with arbitrary coupling between matter and geometry is studied in the two kinds of spacetime,i.e.,the both spatially homogenous,isotropic FRW universe and static,spherically symmetric black hole *** field equations of the generalized f(R) gravity with arbitrary coupling between matter and geometry can be cast to the form of the first law of thermodynamics with the reputed entropy production terms dS,which are quite general and can degenerate to the cases of Einstein's general relativity and pure f(R) gravity with non-coupling and nonminimal coupling as special *** appearance of the entropy production term dS illustrates that the horizon thermodynamics is non-equilibrium one for the generalized f(R) gravity with arbitrary coupling between matter and geometry.

Three extreme cold events successively occurred across East Asia and North America in the 2020/21 *** study investigates the underlying mechanisms of these record-breaking persistent cold events from the isentropic mass circulation(IMC)*** show that the midlatitude cold surface temperature anomalies always co-occurred with the high-latitude warm anomalies,and this was closely related to the strengthening of the low-level equatorward cold air branch of the IMC,particularly along the climatological cold air routes over East Asia and North ***,the two cold surges over East Asia in early winter were results of intensification of cold air transport there,influenced by the Arctic sea ice loss in *** weakened cold air transport over North America associated with warmer northeastern Pacific sea surface temperatures(SSTs)explained the concurrent anomalous warmth *** enhanced a wavenumber-1 pattern and upward wave propagation,inducing a simultaneous and long-lasting stronger poleward warm air branch(WB)of the IMC in the stratosphere and hence a displacement-type Stratospheric Sudden Warming(SSW)event on 4 *** WB-induced increase in the air mass transported into the polar stratosphere was followed by intensification of the equatorward cold branch,hence promoting the occurrence of two extreme cold events respectively over East Asia in the beginning of January and over North America in *** do not yield a robust direct linkage from La Niña to the SSW event,IMC changes,and cold events,though the extratropical warm SSTs are found to contribute to the February cold surge in North America.

The Meihe Basin is an important Paleogene coal-bearing basin located in the Dunhua-Mishan Fault Zone,northeastern *** on a comprehensive study of well logs,seismic profiles,cores and rock geochemical properties,the coal distribution,paleoenvironment evolution within a sequence stratigraphic framework and the accumulation model to explain how coal seams developed in small fault basin were discussed in ***-third-order sequences were identified in the Paleogene Meihe Formation of Meihe Basin and the two coal-bearing sequences are the Lower Coalbearing Member of Sequence I and the Upper Coal-bearing Member of Sequence *** three types of system tracts are developed in both sequences,i.e.,the lowstand systems tract(LST),the transgressive systems tract(TST),and the highstand systems tract(HST).In LST of Sequence I,fan delta plain marsh is the main coal accumulating environment where coal seams are thin,discontinuous and therefore uneconomic for mining,and it is the same with all coal seams developed in Sequence *** in TST and HST of Sequence I,lake swamp is the main sedimentary environment where coal seams are thick,continuous,widely distributed,and thus economically attractive for *** the study area,the nice thick economical coal seams are usually developed in an ideal stable depositional environment where organic matter accommodation space grows at a balanced rate with peat,in other words,free of sediment input or channel *** key findings of this study could provide guidance for the exploration of coal seams in the Meihe Basin and other similar basins.

To protect vehicular privacy and speed up the execution of tasks,federated learning is introduced in the Internet of Vehicles(IoV)where users execute model training locally and upload local models to the base station without massive raw data ***,heterogeneous computing and communication resources of vehicles cause straggler effect which weakens the reliability of federated *** out vehicles with limited resources confines the training *** a result,the accuracy and applicability of federated learning models will be *** mitigate the straggler effect and improve performance of federated learning,we propose a reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)-assisted federated learning framework to enhance the communication reliability for parameter transmission in the ***,we optimize the phase shift of RIS to achieve a more reliable communication *** addition,we define vehicular competence to measure both vehicular trustworthiness and *** on the vehicular competence,the straggler effect is mitigated where training tasks of computing stragglers are offloaded to surrounding vehicles with high *** experiment results verify that our proposed framework can improve the reliability of federated learning in terms of computing and communication in the IoV.

In this paper,a novel trench gate gallium nitride(GaN)insulated gate bipolar transistor(GaN IGBT),in which the collector is divided into multiple regions to control the hole injection efficiency,is designed and theoretically *** incorporation of a P+/P-multi-region alternating structure in the collector region mitigates hole injection within the collector *** the device is in forward conduction,the conductivity modulation effect results in a reduced storage of carriers in the drift *** a result,the number of carriers requiring extraction during device turn-off is minimized,leading to a faster turn-off *** results illustrate that the GaN IGBT with controlled hole injection efficiency(CEH GaN IGBT)exhibits markedly enhanced performance compared to conventional GaN IGBT,showing a remarkable 42.2%reduction in turn-off time and a notable 28.5%decrease in turn-off loss.

Additive manufacturing(AM)is a free-form technology that shows great potential in the integrated creation of three-dimensional(3D)***,the fabrication of 3D conformal circuits that fulfill the requirements of high service temperature,high conductivity and high resolution remains a *** this paper,a hybrid AM method combining the fused deposition modeling(FDM)and hydrophobic treatment assisted laser activation metallization(LAM)was proposed for manufacturing the polyetheretherketone(PEEK)-based 3D electronics,by which the conformal copper patterns were deposited on the 3D-printed PEEK parts,and the adhesion between them reached the 5B high ***,the 3D components could support the thermal cycling test from-55℃ to 125℃ for more than 100 ***,the application of a hydrophobic coating on the FDM-printed PEEK before LAM can promote an ideal catalytic selectivity on its surface,not affected by the inevitable printing borders and pores in the FDM-printed parts,then making the resolution of the electroless plated copper lines improved *** consequence,Cu lines with width and spacing of only60μm and 100μm were obtained on both as-printed and after-polished PEEK ***,the potential of this technique to fabricate 3D conformal electronics was demonstrated.

Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites(OIHPs)materials with high phase transition temperature(T_(p))have been widely studied in the field of molecular switches,solar energy and electric *** present,the OIHPs with high T_(p)are generally constructed through molecular design,which can be applied to a wide temperature ***,three one-dimensional(1D)OIHPs[R-Cl EQ]PbCl_(3)(T_(p)=442 K),[R-Cl EQ]PbBr_(3)(T_(p)=499 K)and[R-Cl EQ]PbI_(3)(T_(p)above m.p.)(R-Cl EQ=(R)-N-chloroethyl-3-quinuclidinol)with different T_(p)are obtained by regulating the halogen-halogen interaction and hydrogen bonding in the *** in[R-Cl EQ]Pb X_(3)(X=Cl,Br and I)crystal system,all the halogen bonds tend to form at approximately 180°angles and the strength of halogen bonding is found to be increased from 1.59×10^(-3)Hartree to 2.35×10^(-3)Hartree with increased atom number from Cl to *** synergistic effect of halogen bonding and hydrogen bonding provide a useful strategy for the design OIHPs phase transition materials with high T_(p).

In traditional in situ polymerization preparation for solid-state electrolytes,initiators are directly added to the liquid *** this article,a novel cellulose paper-based composite separator is fabricated,which employs alumina as the inorganic reinforcing material and is loaded with polymerization initiator aluminum *** upon this,a separator-induced in situ directional polymerization technique is demonstrated,and the extra addition of initiators into liquid precursors is no longer *** polymerization starts from the surface and interior of the separator and extends outward with the gradually dissolving of initiators into the *** with its traditional counterpart,the separator-induced poly(1,3-dioxolane)electrolyte shows improved interfacial contact as well as appropriately mitigated polymerization rate,which are conducive to practical *** measurement results show that the prepared poly(1,3-dioxolane)solid electrolyte possesses an oxidation potential up to 4.4 V and a high Li+transference number of *** 1000 cycles at 2 C rate(340 mA g^(−1)),the assembled Li||LiFePO_(4)solid battery possesses a 106.8 mAh g^(−1)discharge capacity retention and 83.5%capacity retention ratio,with high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.5%*** work may provide new ideas for the design and application of in situ polymerization technique for solid electrolytes and solid batteries.
