Biochemical composition of the brown tide causative species Aureococcus anophagef ferens cultivated in dif ferent nitrogen sources

A large-scale algal bloom,caused by Aureococcus anophagefferens,has plagued the coastal embayment of Qinhuangdao,China since *** bay scallop agriculture industry in this area has been adversely *** claimed that the poor nutritional value of brown tide cells might be responsible for the detrimental effects on bivalve *** verify whether brown tide cells are nutritionally inadequate food sources,the biochemical composition(total extractable lipids,amino acids,fatty acids,and monomeric carbohydrates)of the Chinese strain *** was determined during the late logarithmic growth phase when culturing in different nitrogen sources(nitrate,urea and nitrate-urea mixture).Cells cultured in nitrate contained 39.12%protein,21.99%total extractable lipid,10.25% total carbohydrates,and a relatively high amount of polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA)(51.98%,percentage of total fatty acids),including eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA)(4.81%)and docosahexaenoic acid(DhA)(14.56%).The gross biochemical composition and PUFA content in *** in nitrate cultivation are comparable with values found in the literature of frequently used species in bivalve *** monomeric carbohydrates were significantly reduced when cultivated in urea and nitrate-urea mixture(Phe DhA,EPA,and PUFA contents significantly decreased when cultivated in urea(Plthough the nutritional value of *** dropped when cultured in urea,it is still comparable with certain favorably used algal species in bivalve feeding(i.e.,Skeletonema costatum),indicating that *** is not a nutritionally inadequate food source.

INTRODUCTION Over the past decade,there has been an increasing effort to reduce leakage and air infiltration in new residential construction in order to improve energy *** example,California’s Title 24 Residential Compliance Manual For California’s 2005 Energy Efficiency Standards,which went into effect in October 2005,recognizes that air infiltration(leakage)is a“major component of heating and cooling loads,”and section 3 addresses measures to reduce infiltration,such as sealing around penetrations,installing air-retarding wrap,and meeting window performance *** reducing infiltration has a positive effect on energy efficiency,a lack of adequate ventilation can lead to poor indoor air *** residences need to balance the desire for energy conservation with the need for high quality indoor *** this requires an understanding of the factors which affect air quality in homes.

In this study,the electronic transition properties and structural analysis of the metal complexes(Ni(Ⅱ),Co(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ)and Mn(Ⅱ))of three different polymer ligands were performed by using XRF and X-ray diffraction(XRD)techniques,*** structural analysis of the polymers and their complexes were performed by XRD technique and some of the polymers were found to be in the face-centred cubic(fcc)*** addition,the values of the present k X-ray intensity ratios are significantly greater than the values reported in literature.

Molecular and field studies suggest that Mbuna have limited migration range and are restricted by habitat discontinuities especially in areas where rocky habitats are separated by stretches of sand. This study estimated regional diversity of Mbuna in lake Malawi. The estimated fl-diversity for all sites was 114.5 Mbuna suggesting that there was high level of allopatrism for the species complex. Sympatric index was low in the two regions of southern and northern lake and the observed high-end richness strongly correlated with minimum species richness. The sympatric index for the whole lake was 0.8, with non-monotypic species complexes showing declining values of sympatric index and the decline was dependent on the geographical scale of the area covered. The northern region sites had mean habitat ranking of 84.5% while the southern sites had habitat ranking of 56.7% supporting the observation that there are more rocky habitats in the northern part of the lake than in the southern. Implications of habitat ranking are discussed in terms of species abundance and richness.

In this paper, the microstructure evolution and properties of squeeze-cast Al–8Si-1.5Cu–1Ni-0.5Mg-0.5Mn-0.2V-0.2Ti-0.2Zr alloy（hereafter, Al–Si–Cu–Ni alloy for short） were investigated under various solution processes,evaluating the mechanical properties at room and elevated temperatures for both as-cast and T6-treated *** results showed that following the optimal two-stage solution（i.e., solution at 510°C for 6 h + solution at 530°C for 8 h） and subsequent aging at 190°C for 10 h, referred to as the S530-T6 treatment, the Al–Si–Cu–Ni alloy exhibited excellent room/high temperature performance. The ultimate tensile strength（UTS）, yield strength（YS）and elongation of the alloy at room temperature were 410 MPa, 368 MPa and 1.5 %, and the UTS, YS and elongation of alloy at 300°C were 177 MPa, 170 MPa and 6 %, respectively. The increase in strength at room temperature is mainly attributed to the spheroidization of eutectic silicon and the precipitate strengthening aroused from uniformly dispersed nano-sized Q-Al4Cu2Mg8Si7, σ-Al5Cu6Mg2and θ'-Al2Cu phases, while the increase in strength at high temperature is due to the formation of heat-resistant Ni-rich phases and the improvement of the micromorphology of high melting point intermetallic compounds.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations is blessed with agricultural resources,and with the growing population,it will continue to prosper,which follows the abundance of agricultural *** biomass attracted researchers’interest in extracting bio-oil from these ***,the resulting bio-oil has low heating values and undesirable physical ***,co-pyrolysis with plastic or polymer wastes is adopted to improve the yield and quality of the ***,with the spread of the novel coronavirus,the surge of single-use plastic waste such as disposable medical face mask,can potentially set back the previous plastic waste reduction ***,studies of existing technologies and techniques are referred in exploring the potential of disposable medical face mask waste as a candidate for co-pyrolysis with *** parameters,utilisation of catalysts and technologies are key factors in improving and optimising the process to achieve commercial standard of liquid *** copyrolysis involves a series of complex mechanisms,which cannot be explained using simple iso-conversional ***,advanced conversional models are introduced,followed by the evolutionary models and predictive models,which can solve the non-linear catalytic copyrolysis reaction *** outlook and challenges for the topic are discussed in detail.
