Green trading and ecological sustainability under macroeconomic policy framework

When confronted with ecological challenges,trading ecologically friendly products involving renewable technologies,green management practices,and effluent treatment methods could alleviate ecological degradation on a global scale while considering the macroeconomic policy ***,this study determines the effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policy instruments in moderating the relationship between green trade openness(i.e.,trade in environmentally related products)and ecological *** panel quantile regression on data from 20 OeCD members from 2003 to 2016,we found that green trade openness supports ecological sustainability through a gains-from-trade *** moderation effects,expenditure-driven fiscal expansion reinforces the favorable influence of green trade openness on ecological sustainability across ecologically less/moderately efficient economies,while it does the reverse for ecologically more efficient ***-driven fiscal contraction promotes ecological sustainability amelioration impact of green trade openness for economies with belowaverage ecological quality and remains neutral for those with average/above-average ecological ***,interest rate-driven monetary contraction proliferates the ecological sustainability enhancement effect of green *** suggest that the fiscal and monetary policies demand unambiguous coordination with the OeCD’s trade policy structure for optimal environmental outcomes of trading in environmental *** insights would help OeCD’s green trade policies gain momentum to facilitate the attainment of the Climate Action agenda of the United Nations’Sustainable Development Goals.

The transient heat transfer behaviours in a packed bed have been studied using coupled computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and discrete element method(DeM).Intra-particle thermal diffusion,which is a crucial but rarely explored issue,is considered by introducing a one-dimensional diffusion equation in the DeM *** achieve a sufficiently long physical time of simulations,we further reduce the computational cost by applying periodic boundary condition to a small segment of the packed *** study demonstrates a shifting peak heat flow rate from the bottom to the top of the packed bed during the initial warming *** affirm that the influence of thermal diffusion within a particle is noteworthy only for particles exhibiting a high Biot number(e.g.,Bi=1.2).This insight enriches our understanding of heat transfer mechanisms in packed beds and their practical engineering applications.

Interface structure of α-Mg/14H-LPSO:First-principles prediction and experimental study

The interfacial structure of the α-Mg/14H-LPSO phase in rare earth-including magnesium alloy was investigated via high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADFSTeM) imaging and first-principles calculations of density-functional *** possible interfacial models were constructed according to the different terminations of the LPSO phase,and the corresponding interfacial energies were calculated,from which the four most stable structures(Terl-MgY-hollow,Ter2-Zn-hollow,Ter3-MgYII-hollow and Ter4-Mg-bridge) were *** interfacial phase diagrams related to the Y chemical potentials were obtained from the calculations,and the most stable interfacial structure was ***-MgY-hollow and Ter2-Zn-hollow have the lowest interfacial energies in the range of-0.7 eV eV,where fluctuating change of state is the minimized and the interface is the most *** separation work of the two models was calculated to predict the bonding strength of the structures at both ends of the *** calculation results show that the maximum interfacial separation work is 1.45 J/m^(2) for the interface model of α-Mg and 14H-LPSO phase structure with Ter2-Zn-hollow termination.

Resource allocation for D2D-assisted haptic communications

Haptic communications is recognized as a promising enabler of extensive services by enabling real-time haptic control and feedback in remote environments,e.g.,teleoperation and autonomous *** the strict transmission requirements on reliability and latency,Device-to-Device(D2D)communications is introduced to assist haptic *** particular,the teleoperators with poor channel quality are assisted by auxiliaries,and each auxiliary and its corresponding teleoperator constitute a D2D ***,the haptic interaction and the scarcity of radio resources pose severe challenges to the resource allocation,especially facing the sporadic packet ***,the contentionbased access scheme is applied to achieve low-latency transmission,where the resource scheduling latency is omitted and users can directly access available *** this context,we derive the reliability index of D2D pairs under the contention-based access scheme,i.e.,closed-loop packet error ***,the reliability performance is guaranteed by bidirectional power control,which aims to minimize the sum packet error probability of all D2D *** game theory is introduced to solve the problem with low ***,a distributed power control algorithm based on synchronous log-linear learning is proposed to converge to the optimal Nash *** results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed learning algorithm.

Strain sensor on a chip for quantifying the magnitudes of tensile stress on cells

During cardiac development,mechanotransduction from the in vivo microenvironment modulates cardiomyocyte growth in terms of the number,area,and arrangement ***,the response of cells to different degrees of mechanical stimuli is ***-on-a-chip,as a platform for investigating mechanical stress stimuli in cellular mimicry of the in vivo microenvironment,is limited by the lack of ability to accurately quantify externally induced ***,previous technology lacks the integration of external stimuli and feedback sensors in microfluidic platforms to obtain and apply precise amounts of external ***,we designed a cell stretching platform with an in-situ *** in-situ liquid metal sensors can accurately measure the mechanical stimulation caused by the deformation of the vacuum cavity exerted on *** platform was applied to human cardiomyocytes(AC16)under cyclic strain(5%,10%,15%,20 and 25%),and we found that cyclic strain promoted cell growth induced the arrangement of cells on the membrane to gradually unify,and stabilized the cells at 15%amplitude,which was even more effective after 3 days of *** platform’s precise control and measurement of mechanical forces can be used to establish more accurate in vitro microenvironmental models for disease modeling and therapeutic research.

The alteration in surface color of metallic glasses(MGs)holds great significance in the context of microstructuredesign and commercial *** is essential to accurately describe the structures that are formed during the laser and colorseparation processes in order to develop practical laser coloring *** to the high oxidation sensitivity of Labasedmetallic glass,it can broaden the color range but make it more *** coloring by laser processing on thesurface of La-based metallic glass can be conducted after thermoplastic *** is particularly important to clarify therole of structure and composition in the surface coloring *** aim is to study the relationship between amorphoussurface structural color,surface geometry,and oxide formation by laser processing in metallic *** findings revealedthat the periodic structure primarily determines the surface color at laser energy densities below 1.0 J/mm^(2).In contrast,thesurface color predominantly depends on the proportion of oxides that are formed when energy densities exceed 1.0 J/mm^(2).Consequently,this study provides a novel concept for the fundamental investigation of laser coloring and establishes a newavenue for practical application.

The creation of ultrafine alloy nanoparticles(e activity and avoid aggregation for heterogeneous catalysis has received much attention and is extremely ***,ultrafine PtRh alloy nanoparticles imprisoned by the cavities of reduced chiral covalent imine cage(PtRh@RCC3) are prepared successfully by an organic molecular cage(OMC) confinement strategy,while the soluble RCC3 can act as a homogenizer to homogenize the heterogeneous PtRh alloy in ***,the X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANeS) results show that the RCC3 can act as an electron-acceptor to withdraw electrons from Pt,leading to the formation of higher valence Pt atoms,which is beneficial to improving the catalytic activity for the reduction of *** to the synergistic effect of Pt/Rh atoms and the unique function of the RCC3,the reaction rate constants of Pt_(1)Rh_(16)@RCC3 are 49.6,8.2,and 5.5 times than those of the Pt_(1)Rh_(16)bulk,Pt@RCC3 and Rh@RCC3,*** work provides a feasible strategy to homogenize heterogeneous alloy nanoparticle catalysts in solution,showing huge potential for advanced catalytic application.

Modeling and Validation of Diamagnetic Rotor Levitated by Permanent Magnetics

Synergistic effect of Co and Co_(6)Mo_(6)C for electroreduction of nitrate to ammonia on Co-MOF derived Co_(6)Mo_(6)C/Co/NC

electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(e-NO_(3)RR)offers a promising alternative method for nitrogen cycling and ammonia(NH3)production under ambient ***,the method is still in the dilemma of lowering the reaction overpotential and increasing the reaction *** successfully developed the composition-adjustable Co_(6)Mo_(6)C/Co/N-doped carbon(NC)catalysts by in situ carbonization of Co-based metal-organic framework(MOF)with the constrained phosphomolybdic *** adjusting the ratio of Co0 and Co_(6)Mo_(6)C,Co_(6)Mo_(6)C/Co/NC-3 could satisfy both NO_(3)−conversion at low potential and NH_(x)hydrogenation,and synthesize ammonia efficiently through the synergistic effect of Co0 and Co_(6)Mo_(6)*** achieved an ammonia yield rate as 1233.2μg·h^(−1)·mgcat^(−1)and Faradaic efficiency of NH4+93.6%at−0.33 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHe).Importantly,density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental results have demonstrated for the first time the excellent adsorption of nitrite(NO_(2)^(−))by the Mo sites of Co_(6)Mo_(6)C during e-NO_(3)RR,avoiding the undesirable accumulation of NO_(2)^(−).
