Global structure and seasonal variations of the migrating 6-h tide observed by SABER/TIMED

Ten years of SABER/TIMED temperature data are used to analyze the global structure and seasonal variations of the migrating 6-h tide from the stratosphere to the lower thermosphere. The amplitudes of the migrating 6-h tide increase with altitudes. In the stratosphere, the migrating 6-h tide peaks around 35°N/S. The climatologically annual mean of the migrating 6-h tide clearly shows the manifestation of the(4, 6) Hough mode between 70 and 90 km that peaks at the equator and near 35°N/S. Above 90 km, the 6-h tide shows more than one Hough mode with the(4, 6) mode being the dominant one. The migrating 6-h tide is stronger in the southern hemisphere. Annual, semiannual, 4-, and 3-month oscillations are the four dominant seasonal variations of the tidal amplitude. In the stratosphere and stratopause, the spring enhancement of the 6-h tide at middle latitudes is the most conspicuous feature. From the mesosphere to the lower thermosphere, the tidal amplitude at low latitudes is gradually in the scale of that at middle latitudes and exhibits different temporal variations at different altitudes and latitudes. Both ozone heating in the stratosphere and the background atmosphere probably affect the generation and the seasonal variations of the migrating 6-h tide. In addition, the non-linear interaction between different tidal harmonics is another possible mechanism.

五边形石墨烯是一种完全由碳五元环组成的准二维的亚稳态碳结构,在不同载荷作用下其变形破坏机理仍需进一步研究.本文基于ReaxFF反应力场采用分子动力学方法模拟研究了五边形石墨烯的拉伸、剪切和纳米压痕破坏过程,得到了五边形石墨烯的拉伸和剪切应力-应变曲线以及压入载荷-位移曲线,系统分析了五边形石墨烯的变形破坏机理,并验证了五边形石墨烯在不同载荷作用下是否表现出塑性变形特征的一致性问题.研究结果表明,通过拉伸或纳米压入等不同加载方式均可准确测出五边形石墨烯的本征力学性能参数,其杨氏模量265.4~285.1 N/m,与第一性原理计算结果一致.研究还发现,五边形石墨烯在拉伸、剪切和纳米压痕过程中均会出现不可逆的塑性变形特征,而引起塑性变形的原因是由于不可逆的碳五元环向碳多元环结构的转变.以上研究结果可为基于五边形石墨烯的微/纳米机电系统的实际应用提供重要指导.

From birth to adulthood,we often align our behaviors,attitudes,and opinions with a majority,a phenomenon known as social conformity.A seminal framework has proposed that conformity behaviors are mainly driven by three fundamental motives:a desire to gain more information to be accurate,to obtain social approval from others,and to maintain a favorable *** extensive interest in neuroimaging investigation of social conformity,the relationship between brain systems and these fundamental motivations has yet to be ***,we reviewed brain imaging findings of social conformity with a componential framework,aiming to reveal the neuropsychological substrates underlying different conformity ***,information-seeking engages the evaluation of social information,information integration,and modification of task-related activity,corresponding to brain networks implicated in reward,cognitive control,and tasks at ***,social acceptance involves the anticipation of social acceptance or rejection and mental state attribution,mediated by networks of reward,punishment,and ***,self-enhancement entails the excessive representation of positive self-related information and suppression of negative self-related information,ingroup favoritism and/or outgroup derogation,and elaborated mentalizing processes to the ingroup,supported by brain systems of reward,punishment,and ***,recent brain imaging studies have provided important insights into the fundamental motivations of social conformity in terms of component processes and brain mechanisms.

With the development of self-healing technology, the overall properties of the microcapsule-enabled selfhealingconcrete have taken a giant leap. In this research, a detailed assessment of current research on the microcapsuleenabledself-healing concrete is conducted, together with bibliometric analysis. In the bibliometric analysis, variousindicators are considered. The current state of progress regarding self-healing concrete is assessed, and an analysis of thetemporal distribution of documents, organizations and countries of literature is conducted. Later, a discussion of thecitations is analyzed. The research summarizes the improvements of microcapsule-enabled self-healing cementitiouscomposites and provides a concise background overview.

Well-crystallized olivine LiNiPO4 and carbon-modified LiNiPO4（LiNiPO4/C） were synthesized by a combined solvothermal and solid state reaction method using water-benzyl alcohol two-phase solvent. The structure and morphology of the prepared LiNiPO4 were systematically characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The LiNiPO4 particles are up to around 2 μm in diameter while the particle size of LiNiPO4/C is about 100-200 nm. At a current rate of 0.05 C（1.00 C=167 mA/g, corresponding to one Li^＋｜ intercalation/deintercalation）, LiNiPO4 and LiNiPO4/C presented a high initial specific capacity of 157 and 220 mA.h/g, respectively. The capacity of LiNiPO4/C is 72% larger than that of LiNiPO4 at 0.1 C. The LiNiPO4/C cathode exhibits a superior electrochemical performance in comparison with LiNiPO4, revealing that carbon modifying is an effective method to improve the ionic diffusion and electronic conductivity of cathode material LiNiPO4. Furthermore, lithium ion diffusion coefficients of LiNiPO4 and LiNiPO4/C are 1.80× 10^-15 and 1.91×10^-14 cm^2/s, respectively, calculated via the data from electrochemical impedance spectra.

The redox-sensitive elements,such as iron,manganese,sulfur,phosphorus,and arsenic,shift their speciation every millimeter(mm)across the soil-water interface in the flooded soil *** of element speciation at this high-resolution(HR)within the SWI is still *** key challenge lies in obtaining sufficient porewater samples at specific locations along the soil gradient for downstream *** with an optimized inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)method and a HR porewater sampler,we demonstrate mm-scale element profiles mapping across the SWI in paddy *** of iron and manganese(>10 mg/L)were measured by ICP-MS in an extended dynamic range mode to avoid signal *** iron profile along the SWI generated by the ICP-MS method showed no significant difference(p<0.05)compared to that measured independently using a colorimetric ***,four arsenic(arsenite,arsenate,monomethylarsonic and dimethylarsinic acid),two phosphorus(phosphite and phosphate)and two sulfur(sulfide and sulfate)species were separated in 10 min by ion chromatography-ICP-MS with the NH_(4)HCO_(3)mobile *** verified the technique using paddy soils collected from the field,and present the mm-scale profiles of iron,manganese,and arsenic,phosphorus,sulfur species(relative standard deviation<8%).The technique developed in this study will significantly promote the measurement throughput in limited samples(e.g.100μL)collected by HR samplers,which would greatly facilitate redox-sensitive elements biogeochemical cycling in saturated soils.

The geometry effect of a vapor cell on the metrology of a microwave electric field is investigated. Based on the splitting of the electromagnetically induced transparency spectra of cesium Rydberg atoms in a vapor cell, high-resolution spatial distribution of the microwave electric field strength is achieved for both a cubic cell and a cylinder cell. The spatial distribution of the microwave field strength in two dimensions is measured with sub-wavelength resolution. The experimental results show that the shape of a vapor cell has a significant influence on the abnormal spatial distribution because of the Fabry-P6rot effect inside a vapor cell. A theoretical simulation is obtained for different vapor cell wall thicknesses and shows that a restricted wall thickness results in a measurement fluctuation smaller than 3% at the center of the vapor cell.
