Effect of neodymium doping on structure,magnetic properties and microwave absorption performance of SrMnO_(3)

A simple composite Sr_(1-x)Nd_(x)MnO_(3)(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2) nano powders were successfully prepared by the sol-gel method as a light-weight broadband electromagnetic wave absorber.The effect of Nd^(3+)doping on the structure,microstructure and properties of SrMnO_(3) was investigated.It is found that with the doping of Nd^(3+),the space group of the SrMnO_(3) changes from p63/mmc to pm3m,and the crystalline shape starts to change from hexagonal to cubic crystalline.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) tests confirm that the particle sizes of the sample decrease and the specific surface area increases,which are attributed to the inhibition of grain growth after Nd^(3+)is doped.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) shows that after Nd^(3+)doping,the content of oxygen vacancy increases,and Mn^(4+) converts to Mn^(3+).Due to the defects of the materials,the polarization effect is enhanced,thus,the dielectric and magnetic properties of the doped samples are improved.The maximum reflection loss of the Sr_(0.85)Nd_(0.15)MnO_(3) is-33.41 dB at 7.84 GHz for a thickness of 2.4 mm,while Sr_(0.9)Nd_(0.1)MnO_(3) has the best bandwidth performance at 2.32 GHz with a reflection loss below-10dB.

Di-and tri-methylation of lysine 36 on histone H3(H3K36me2/3)is catalysed by histone methyltransferase Set2,which plays an essential role in transcriptional regulation.Although there is a single H3K36 methyltransferase in yeast and higher eukaryotes,two H3K36 methyltransferases,Ash1 and Set2,were present in many filamentous fungi.However,their roles in H3K36 methylation and transcriptional regulation remained unclear.Combined with methods of RNA-seq and ChIP-seq,we revealed that both Ash1 and Set2 are redundantly required for the full H3K36me2/3 activity in Magnaporthe oryzae,which causes the devastating worldwide rice blast disease.Ash1 and Set2 distinguish genomic H3K36me2/3-marked regions and are differentially associated with repressed and activated transcription,respectively.Furthermore,Ash1-catalysed H3K36me2 was co-localized with H3K27me3 at the chromatin,and Ash1 was required for the enrichment and transcriptional silencing of H3K27me3-occupied genes.With the different roles of Ash1 and Set2,in H3K36me2/3 enrichment and transcriptional regulation on the stress-responsive genes,they differentially respond to various stresses in M.oryzae.Overall,we reveal a novel mechanism by which two H3K36 methyltransferases catalyze H3K36me2/3 that differentially associate with transcriptional activities and contribute to enrichment of facultative heterochromatin in eukaryotes.

Catalytic Michael addition reaction represents a fundamental importance in organic synthetic chemistry.Whereas corresponding conversions toward intrinsically low reactive enamide remains an ongoing challenging.We herein report a copper-catalyzed conjugate addition of allenes toβ-substituted alkenyl amides,one of the most challenging Michael acceptors.The present method utilizes readily available allenes as the latent carbon-based nucleophiles and simple,commonβ-substituted alkenyl amides as starting materials,unlike previous methods that usually preinstall an activating group to improve the reactivity of amide or uses highly reactive stoichiometric quantities of organometallics.Hence,this approach shows good functional group compatibility and can be implemented under mild reaction conditions with excellent level of chemo-and regioselectivities.

The fall armyworm,Spodoptera frugiperda(S.frugiperda),represents the most resistant insect species and poses serious threat to grain yield.Chlorantraniliprole(CHL),which targets the ryanodine receptors(RyRs)in insects,has demonstrated the efficacy in controlling S.frugiperda.Nevertheless,this has led to emerging resistance in several countries.To counter this resistance,a viable approach involves the development of novel compounds that bind against RyRs via distinct binding sites or modes.In this study,a series of 22 novel anthranilic diamide derivatives was designed and synthesized,and their insecticidal activities were evaluated.Most of these derivatives showed moderate to good insecticidal activity against S.frugiperda and Mythimna separata.Time-lapse fluorescence measurements of endoplasmic reticulum luminal calcium revealed that most derivatives elicited cellular responses similar as CHL when assessed on HEK293 cells expressing S.frugiperda ryanodine receptors(SfRyRs).The mode of action of compound 13a was studied and verified on the isolated neurons by calcium imaging technique.Finally,molecular docking analysis was employed to predict the binding mechanism of compound 13a against SfRyRs.Overall,these novel diamide derivatives hold promise as a valuable resource for guiding the future design of insecticidal compounds targeting RyRs.

Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)exhibiting reversible redox behaviors have been identified as promising candidates for constructing electrode materials in lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,their extensive application has been limited due to finite redox sites and poor structural stability.In this study,we design and synthesize a novel polyimide covalent organic framework(PI-COF)using the traditional solvothermal method and successfully apply it as an anode material for LIBs.The large conjugated structure of PI-COF accelerates charge transfer,while its large surface area provides more active sites,making PI-COF an attractive anode material for LIBs.Furthermore,the PI-COF anode material demonstrates high reversible specific capacity and excellent long-term cycling stability due to its COF characteristics.Specifically,the PI-COF electrodes deliver a specific capacity of 800 m Ah/g at a current density of 200 m A/g after 200 cycles,while a specific capacity of 450 m Ah/g at a current density of 1000 m A/g is sustained after 800 cycles.The outstanding lithium storage capacity,particularly the satisfactory long-term cycling stability,establishes PI-COF as a promising material for LIBs.

The effect of slow shot speed on externally solidified crystal(ESC),porosity and tensile property in a newly developed high-pressure die-cast Al-Si alloy was investigated by optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and laboratory computed tomography(CT).Results showed that the newly developed AlSi9MnMoV alloy exhibited improved mechanical properties when compared to the AlSi10MnMg alloy.The AlSi9MnMoV alloy,which was designed with trace multicomponent additions,displays a notable grain refining effect in comparison to the AlSi10MnMg alloy.Refining elements Ti,Zr,V,Nb,B promote heterogeneous nucleation and reduce the grain size of primaryα-Al.At a lower slow shot speed,the large ESCs are easier to form and gather,developing into the dendrite net and net-shrinkage.With an increase in slow shot speed,the size and number of ESCs and porosities significantly reduce.In addition,the distribution of ESCs is more dispersed and the net-shrinkage disappears.The tensile property is greatly improved by adopting a higher slow shot speed.The ultimate tensile strength is enhanced from 260.31 MPa to 290.31 MPa(increased by 11.52%),and the elongation is enhanced from 3.72%to 6.34%(increased by 70.52%).

The development and synthesis of cathode electrocatalysts with high activity and durable stability for metal-air batteries is an important challenge in the area of electrocatalysis.Herein,we introduce a novel in-situ nitriding and phosphating strategy for producing W_(3)N_(4)and WP from phosphotungstic acid(HPW)-polyaniline-phytic acid-Fe3+organic-inorganic hybrid material.The final material has a three-dimensional porous framework with W_(3)N_(4)-WP heterostructures embedded in the carbon matrix(W_(3)N_(4)-WP@NPC).As-made materials exhibit exceptional electrocatalytic performance for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),with a diffusion-limiting current density of 6.9 mA·cm^(−2)and a half-wave potential of 0.82 V.As a Zn-air primary cathode,the W_(3)N_(4)-WP@NPC assembled battery can provide a relatively high peak power density(194.2 mW·cm^(−2)).As a Zn-air secondary air-cathode,it has great cycling stability over 500 h.This work provides a simple and efficient method for rationally designing high-performance air cathodes from copolymer-anchored polyoxometalates.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a liver condition that is widely prevalent across the world.A considerable number of people with NAFLD have the potential to progress to a more severe form of the condition known as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),accompanied by bridging fibrosis.This advancement is more likely if the patient has metabolic risk factors such as obesity or type 2 diabetes that deteriorate over time.Additionally,even slight inflammation or fibrosis in NAFLD can significantly increase the likelihood of progression compared to steatosis alone.This underscores the importance of revising the present methods of monitoring NAFLD patients to ensure early detection and effective management of the disease.
