Regularized system identification has become the research frontier of system identification in the past decade.One related core subject is to study the convergence properties of various hyper-parameter estimators as the sample size goes to infinity.In this paper,we consider one commonly used hyper-parameter estimator,the empirical Bayes(EB).Its convergence in distribution has been studied,and the explicit expression of the covariance matrix of its limiting distribution has been given.However,what we are truly interested in are factors contained in the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator,and then,the convergence of its covariance matrix to that of its limiting distribution is required.In general,the convergence in distribution of a sequence of random variables does not necessarily guarantee the convergence of its covariance matrix.Thus,the derivation of such convergence is a necessary complement to our theoretical analysis about factors that influence the convergence properties of the EB hyper-parameter estimator.In this paper,we consider the regularized finite impulse response(FIR)model estimation with deterministic inputs,and show that the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator converges to that of its limiting distribution.Moreover,we run numerical simulations to demonstrate the efficacy of ourtheoretical results.

Gain adaptive tuning method for fiber Raman amplifier based on two-stage neural networks and double weights updates

We present a gain adaptive tuning method for fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) using two-stage neural networks (NNs) and double weights updates. After training the connection weights of two-stage NNs separately in training phase， the connection weights of the unified NN are updated again in verification phase according to error between the predicted and target gains to eliminate the inherent error of the NNs. The simulation results show that the mean of root-mean-square-error and maximum error of gains are 0.131 dB and 0.281 dB， respectively. It shows that the method can realize adaptive adjustment function of FRA gain with high accuracy.

Analyzing Nitrogen Effects on Rice Panicle Development by Panicle Detection and Time-Series Tracking

Detailed observation of the phenotypic changes in rice panicle substantially helps us to understand the yield formation.In recent studies,phenotyping of rice panicles during the heading–flowering stage still lacks comprehensive analysis,especially of panicle development under different nitrogen treatments.In this work,we proposed a pipeline to automatically acquire the detailed panicle traits based on time-series images by using the YOLO v5,ResNet50,and DeepSORT models.Combined with field observation data,the proposed method was used to test whether it has an ability to identify subtle differences in panicle developments under different nitrogen treatments.The result shows that panicle counting throughout the heading–flowering stage achieved high accuracy(R^(2)=0.96 and RMSE=1.73),and heading date was estimated with an absolute error of 0.25 days.In addition,by identical panicle tracking based on the time-series images,we analyzed detailed flowering phenotypic changes of a single panicle,such as flowering duration and individual panicle flowering time.For rice population,with an increase in the nitrogen application:panicle number increased,heading date changed little,but the duration was slightly extended;cumulative flowering panicle number increased,rice flowering initiation date arrived earlier while the ending date was later;thus,the flowering duration became longer.For a single panicle,identical panicle tracking revealed that higher nitrogen application led to earlier flowering initiation date,significantly longer flowering days,and significantly longer total duration from vigorous flowering beginning to the end(total DBE).However,the vigorous flowering beginning time showed no significant differences and there was a slight decrease in daily DBE.

The composition and evolution of interfacial species play a key role during electrocatalytic process.Unveiling the structural evolution and intermediate during catalytic process by in situ characterization can shed new light on the electrocatalytic reaction mechanism and develop highly efficient catalyst.However,directly probing the interfacial species is extremely difficult for most spectroscopic techniques due to complicated interfacial environment and ultra-low surface concentration.Herein,electrochemical core-shell nanoparticle enhanced Raman spectroscopy is utilized to probe the composition and evolution processes of interfacial species on Au@Pt,Au@Co,and Au@PtCo core-shell nanoparticle surfaces.The spectral evidences of interfacial intermediates including hydroxide radical(OH*),superoxide ion(O_(2)^(−)),as well as metal oxide species are directly captured by in situ Raman spectroscopy,which are further confirmed by the both isotopic experiment and density functional theory calculation.These results provide a mechanistic guideline for the rational design of highly efficient electrocatalysts.

Without intervention,a considerable proportion of patients with metabolism‐associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)will progress from simple steatosis to metabolism‐associated steatohepatitis(MASH),liver fibrosis,and even hepatocellular carcinoma.However,the molecular mechanisms that control progressive MAFLD have yet to be fully determined.Here,we unraveled that the expression of the N6-methyladenosine(m6A)methyltransferase METTL14 is remarkably downregulated in the livers of both patients and several murine models of MAFLD,whereas hepatocyte-specific depletion of this methyltransferase aggravated lipid accumulation,liver injury,and fibrosis.Conversely,hepatic Mettl14 overexpression alleviated the above pathophysiological changes in mice fed on a high-fat diet(HFD).Notably,in vivo and in vitro mechanistic studies indicated that METTL14 downregulation decreased the level of GLS2 by affecting the translation efficiency mediated by YTHDF1 in an m6A-depedent manner,which might help to form an oxidative stress microenvironment and accordingly recruit Cx3cr1^(+)Ccr2^(+)monocyte-derived macrophages(Mo-macs).In detail,Cx3cr1^(+)Ccr2^(+)Mo-macs can be categorized into M1-like macrophages and S100A4-positive macrophages and then further activate hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)to promote liver fibrosis.Further experiments revealed that CX3CR1 can activate the transcription of S100A4 via CX3CR1/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway in Cx3cr1^(+)Ccr2^(+)Mo-macs.Restoration of METTL14 or GLS2,or interfering with this signal transduction pathway such as inhibiting MyD88 could ameliorate liver injuries and fibrosis.Taken together,these findings indicate potential therapies for the treatment of MAFLD progression.

Method and Description of Sedimentary System Characterization Based on Sequence Stratigraphy

A Oilfield is the most representative mid to deep oil field in the Bohai Sea, with the main oil bearing intervals being the upper and middle Shahejie-3 sections of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation. By combining well seismic analysis, the middle section of Shahejie-3 is divided into high-level system tract and forced lake retreat system tract, corresponding to the II oil formation and I oil formation, respectively. Using sequence stratigraphy methods, based on seismic profiles and drilling lithological cycles, the high stand system tract is divided into 5 stages of delta progradation. The first and second stages are high angle S-type progradation with large sedimentary thickness, the third stage is oblique progradation, and the fourth and fifth stages are S-oblique composite progradation;By combining seismic data, we characterized the large-scale (8 small-scale) progradation bodies of 5 periods, clarified the distribution characteristics of reservoir planes, and laid the foundation for the later exploration of oilfield potential.

Amyloid-b,tau pathology,and biomarkers of neurodegeneration make up the core diagnostic biomarkers of Alzheimer disease(AD).However,these proteins represent only a fraction of the complex biological processes underlying AD,and individuals with other brain diseases in which AD pathology is a comorbidity also test positive for these diagnostic biomarkers.More ADspecific early diagnostic and disease staging biomarkers are needed.In this study,we performed tandem mass tag proteomic analysis of paired cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)and serum samples in a discovery cohort comprising 98 participants.Candidate biomarkers were validated by parallel reaction monitoring–based targeted proteomic assays in an independent multicenter cohort comprising 288 participants.We quantified 3,238 CSF and 1,702 serum proteins in the discovery cohort,identifying 171 and 860 CSF proteins and 37 and 323 serum proteins as potential early diagnostic and staging biomarkers,respectively.In the validation cohort,58 and 21 CSF proteins,as well as 12 and 18 serum proteins,were verified as early diagnostic and staging biomarkers,respectively.Separate 19-protein CSF and an 8-protein serum biomarker panels were built by machine learning to accurately classify mild cognitive impairment(MCI)due to AD from normal cognition with areas under the curve of 0.984 and 0.881,respectively.The 19-protein CSF biomarker panel also effectively discriminated patients with MCI due to AD from patients with other neurodegenerative diseases.Moreover,we identified 21 CSF and 18 serum stage-associated proteins re-flecting AD stages.Our findings provide a foundation for developing bloodbased tests for AD screening and staging in clinical practice.

Polar codes based OFDM-PLC systems in the presence of impulsive noise

Power line communication(PLC)has the potential to become the preferred technique for providing broadband communication to homes and offices with advantage of eliminating the need for new wiring infrastructure and reducing the cost.But it suffers from the impulsive noise because it introduces significant time variance into the power line channel.In this paper,a polar codes based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)PLC system is proposed to deal with the impulsive noise and thereby improve the transmission performance.Firstly,the impulsive noise is modelled with a multi-damped sine function by analyzing the time behavior of impulse events.Then the polar codes are used to combat the impulsive noise of PLC channel,and a low complexity bit-flipping decoding method based on CRC-aided successive cancellation list(CA-SCL)decoding algorithm is proposed.Simulations evaluate the proposed decoding algorithm and the results validate the suggested polar codes based OFDM-PLC scheme which can improve the BER performance of PLC with impulsive interference.

目的探讨极早产儿及极低出生体重儿早期能量管理与支气管肺发育不良(BPD)发生的关系。方法采用回顾性队列研究设计,2019年1月至2021年12月出生后24 h内收入四川大学华西第二医院新生儿科且出生胎龄418~502 kJ/(kg·d)时明显低于≤334 kJ/(kg·d)时(OR=0.15,95%CI 0.03~0.85,P=0.033),而出生后前2周液体总量与BPD发生相关性均无统计学意义(均P>0.05)。出生后第2周肠外能量/总能量增加与BPD发生风险升高相关(OR=8.45,95%CI 2.14~33.32,P=0.003),出生后第2周肠外供能≥305 kJ/(kg·d)时,增加肠外供能会明显增加BPD发生风险(OR=1.02,95%CI 1.01~1.03,P=0.003)。结论早产儿出生后早期保持较高的总能量供应或许能降低BPD发生风险,但持续依赖较高的肠外能量以满足总能量的需求反而会增加BPD发生风险,故应尽早开启肠内喂养且在耐受情况下尽量增加肠内喂养量。

农田灌溉设施建设的福利效应:作用机制与实证检验

农业农村基础设施是建设农业强国、推进乡村振兴的重要物质基础,以农田灌溉设施为代表的农业生产性基础设施更是农业生产稳定发展、农民收入持续增长的源头保障。从理论和经验两个层面,系统考察推进共同富裕背景下农田灌溉设施建设对农民经济福利的影响。利用2001—2021年我国30个省份的面板数据,采用双向固定效应模型,实证分析农田灌溉设施建设对农民福利的影响效应,检验农田灌溉设施建设增进农民福利的作用机制。研究发现:农田灌溉设施建设规模的扩张和质量的提升均显著促进农民农业收入增长,且该结论在经过一系列稳健性检验后仍然成立,表明农田灌溉设施建设能够有效增进农民福利水平。异质性分析结果显示,相较于西部地区和粮食主产区,农田灌溉设施建设对东中部地区和非粮食主产区农民经济福利的促进作用更加显著,表明农田灌溉设施在资源禀赋充裕、经济发展水平高以及未实施粮食主产区政策的地区更能充分发挥农民福利增进效应。机制分析发现,农田灌溉设施建设水平的提升显著促进农业生产集聚和技术进步,表明农田灌溉设施建设的农民福利增进效应主要通过驱动农业生产地理集聚、推进农业技术进步实现。因此,未来应持续推进农田灌溉设施建设,因地制宜构建高水平、现代化农田灌溉设施体系并完善管护制度,以进一步发挥农田灌溉设施的福利增进效应,更大限度提升农民福利水平。
