A Lightweight Network with Dual Encoder and Cross Feature Fusion for Cement Pavement Crack Detection

Automatic crack detection of cement pavement chiefly benefits from the rapid development of deep learning,with convolutional neural networks(CNN)playing an important role in this field.However,as the performance of crack detection in cement pavement improves,the depth and width of the network structure are significantly increased,which necessitates more computing power and storage space.This limitation hampers the practical implementation of crack detection models on various platforms,particularly portable devices like small mobile devices.To solve these problems,we propose a dual-encoder-based network architecture that focuses on extracting more comprehensive fracture feature information and combines cross-fusion modules and coordinated attention mechanisms formore efficient feature fusion.Firstly,we use small channel convolution to construct shallow feature extractionmodule(SFEM)to extract low-level feature information of cracks in cement pavement images,in order to obtainmore information about cracks in the shallowfeatures of images.In addition,we construct large kernel atrous convolution(LKAC)to enhance crack information,which incorporates coordination attention mechanism for non-crack information filtering,and large kernel atrous convolution with different cores,using different receptive fields to extract more detailed edge and context information.Finally,the three-stage feature map outputs from the shallow feature extraction module is cross-fused with the two-stage feature map outputs from the large kernel atrous convolution module,and the shallow feature and detailed edge feature are fully fused to obtain the final crack prediction map.We evaluate our method on three public crack datasets:DeepCrack,CFD,and Crack500.Experimental results on theDeepCrack dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method compared to state-of-the-art crack detection methods,which achieves Precision(P)87.2%,Recall(R)87.7%,and F-score(F1)87.4%.Thanks to our lightweight crack detectionmodel,the parameter count of the mo

Research on dual-command operation path optimization based on Flying-V warehouse layout

To enhance the efficiency of warehouse order management,this study investigates a dual-com-mand operation mode in the Flying-V non-traditional warehouse layout.Three dual-command opera-tion strategies are designed,and a dual-command operation path optimization model is established with the shortest path as the optimization goal.Furthermore,a genetic algorithm based on a dynamic decoding strategy is proposed.Simulation results demonstrate that the Flying-V layout warehouse management and access cooperation operation can reduce the operation time by an average of 25%-35%compared with the single access operation path,and by an average of 13%-23%compared with the‘deposit first and then pick’operation path.These findings provide evidence for the effec-tiveness of the optimization model and algorithm.

Study on the Characteristics of A New Hybrid Mooring System for DualPlatform Joint Operations

As the sustainable exploitation of marine resources develops,dual-platform joint operation has caught increasing attention.Dual-platform joint operation requires smaller relative motion between the two sub-platforms,which is normally difficult to be satisfied by the traditional mooring system.Therefore,a new hybrid mooring system is developed and studied in this article.To ensure safety during platform movements,both the number of anchor chains and the relative motion between the two sub-platforms are reduced in the new hybrid mooring system.By performing numerical simulations based on three-dimensional potential flow theory in AQWA and physical experiments,the performances of both the new hybrid and traditional mooring systems under two different wave conditions(i.e.,working wave and freak wave conditions) are systematically investigated.Regarding the new hybrid mooring system,the relative stability between the two sub-platforms of the new system is better,and the platforms can restore stability faster when affected by freak waves.

Visible-frequency nonvolatile reconfigurable Janus metasurfaces for dual-wavelength-switched and spin-asymmetric holograms

Janus metasurface holography with asymmetric transmission characteristics provides new degrees of freedom for multiplexing technologies.However,earlier metasurfaces with asymmetrical transmission faced limitations in terms of tunability and multifunctionality.In this study,we propose a metasurface color holographic encryption scheme with dynamic switching and asymmetric transmission at visible frequencies using a low-loss nonvolatile optical phase-change material,Sb_(2)S_(3).Using a modified holographic optimization strategy,we achieved highfidelity asymmetric holographic imaging of a nanostructured metasurface.By controlling the incident direction and wavelength of visible light,as well as the level of crystallization of Sb_(2)S_(3),this reconfigurable metasurface enables the precise manipulation of tunable color holographic image displays.In particular,in the semi-crystalline state of Sb_(2)S_(3),the encoded information can be securely encrypted using a two-channel color-holographic image,whereas only a preset camouflaged image is displayed in the crystalline or amorphous state of Sb_(2)S_(3).The proposed multiencrypted Janus metasurface provides a potential approach for dynamic holographic displays with ultrahigh capacity,holographic encryption,and information storage.

Shenmai Injection Attenuates Myocardial Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury by Targeting Nrf2/GPX4 Signalling-Mediated Ferroptosis

Objective:To examine the effect of Shenmai Injection(SMJ)on ferroptosis during myocardial ischemia reperfusion(I/R)injury in rats and the underlying mechanism.Methods:A total of 120SPF-grade adult male SD rats,weighing 220–250 g were randomly divided into different groups according to a random number table.Myocardial I/R model was established by occluding the left anterior descending artery for 30 min followed by 120 min of reperfusion.SMJ was injected intraperitoneally at the onset of 120 min of reperfusion,and erastin(an agonist of ferroptosis),ferrostatin-1(Fer-1,an inhibitor of ferroptosis)and ML385(an inhibitor of nuclear factor erythroid-2 related factor 2(Nrf2))were administered intraperitoneally separately 30 min before myocardial ischemia as different pretreatments.Cardiac function before ischemia,after ischemia and after reperfusion was analysed.Pathological changes in the myocardium and the ultrastructure of cardiomyocytes were observed,and the myocardial infarction area was measured.Additionally,the concentration of Fein heart tissues and the levels of creatine kinase-MB(CK-MB),troponin I(cTnI),malondialdehyde(MDA)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in serum were measured using assay kits,and the expressions of Nrf2,glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 4(ACSL4)were examined by Western blot.Results:Compared with the sham group,I/R significantly injured heart tissues,as evidenced by the disordered,ruptured and oedematous myocardial fibres;the increases in infarct size,serum CK-MB,cTnI and MDA levels,and myocardial Feconcentrations;and the decreases in SOD activity(P<0.05).These results were accompanied by ultrastructural alterations to the mitochondria,increased expression of ACSL4 and inhibited the activation of Nrf2/GPX4 signalling(P<0.05).Compared with the I/R group,pretreatment with 9 mL/kg SMJ and 2 mg/kg Fer-1 significantly reduced myocardial I/R injury,Feconcentrations and ACSL4 expression and attenuated mitochondrial impairment,while 14 mg/kg erastin exacerbate

To the Editor： Zika virus （ZIKV） was first isolated from a rhesus monkey in the Zika forest in Uganda It is an emerging arbovirus of the Flaviviridae family, which includes Dengue, West Nile, yellow fever, and Japanese encephalitis viruses, and causes a mosquito-borne disease transmitted by the Aedes genus. ZIKV was demonstrated explosion recently in American countries, especially in Brazil, Venezuela, and so on.We reported a case of laboratory-confirmed ZIKV infection imported into China from Venezuela. The patient developed fever, rash, myalgia, headache, and conjunctivitis after returning to China from Venezuela on February 6, 2016. Serological investigations revealed positive ZIKV-specific real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR）.

Genomic and transcriptional changes in response to pinene tolerance and overproduction in evolved Escherichia coli

α-Pinene is an important monoterpene,which is widely used as a flavoring agent and in fragrances,pharmaceuticals and biofuels.Although an evolved strain Escherichia coli YZFP,which had higher tolerance to pinene and titer,has been successfully used to produce high levels of pinene,the pinene titer is much lower than that of hemiterpene(isoprene)and sesquiterpenes(farnesene)to date.Moreover,the overall cellular physiological and metabolic changes caused by higher tolerance to pinene and overproduction of pinene remains unclear.To reveal the mechanism of Escherichia coli YZFP with the higher tolerance to pinene and titer,a comparative genomics and transcriptional level analyses combining with CRISPR activation(CRISPRa)and interference(CRISPRi)were carried out.The results show that the tolerance to pinene and the overproduction of pinene in E.coli may be associated with:1)the mutations of the DXP pathway genes,the rpoA and some membrane protein genes,and their upregulations of transcription levels;and 2)the mutations of some genes and their downregulation of transcriptional levels.These comparative omics analyses provided some genetic modification strategies to further improve pinene production.Overexpression of the mutated cbpA,tabA,pitA,rpoA,sufBCDS,mutS,ispH,oppF,dusB,dnaK,dxs,dxr and flgFGH genes further improved pinene production.This study also demonstrated that combining comparative omics analysis with CRISPRa and CRISPRi is an efficient technology to quickly find a new metabolic engineering strategy.

Olfactory ensheathing cells(OECs) from the olfactory bulb(OB) and the olfactory mucosa(OM) have the capacity to repair nerve injury. However, the difference in the therapeutic effect between OB-derived OECs and OM-derived OECs remains unclear. In this study, we extracted OECs from OB and OM and compared the gene and protein expression profiles of the cells using transcriptomics and non-quantitative proteomics techniques. The results revealed that both OB-derived OECs and OM-derived OECs highly expressed genes and proteins that regulate cell growth, proliferation, apoptosis and vascular endothelial cell regeneration. The differentially expressed genes and proteins of OB-derived OECs play a key role in regulation of nerve regeneration and axon regeneration and extension, transmission of nerve impulses and response to axon injury. The differentially expressed genes and proteins of OM-derived OECs mainly participate in the positive regulation of inflammatory response, defense response, cytokine binding, cell migration and wound healing. These findings suggest that differentially expressed genes and proteins may explain why OB-derived OECs and OM-derived OECs exhibit different therapeutic roles. This study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University(approval No. 2017-073) on February 13, 2017.

The lymphatic vasculature forms an organized network that covers the whole body and is involved in fluid homeostasis,metabolite clearance,and immune surveillance.The recent identification of functional lymphatic vessels in the meninges of the brain and the spinal cord has provided novel insights into neurophysiology.They emerge as major pathways for fluid exchange.The abundance of immune cells in lymphatic vessels and meninges also suggests that lymphatic vessels are actively involved in neuroimmunity.The lymphatic system,through its role in the clearance of neurotoxic proteins,autoimmune cell infiltration,and the transmission of pro-inflammatory signals,participates in the pathogenesis of a variety of neurological disorders,including neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory diseases and traumatic injury.Vascular endothelial growth factor C is the master regulator of lymphangiogenesis,a process that is critical for the maintenance of central nervous system homeostasis.In this review,we summarize current knowledge and recent advances relating to the anatomical features and immunological functions of the lymphatic system of the central nervous system and highlight its potential as a therapeutic target for neurological disorders and central nervous system repair.

Glass forming regions and concentration-dependent luminescence properties of Tb^(3+)-activated tellurium-lutetium-tungsten glasses

The glass-forming regions of tellurium-gadolinium-tungsten ternary system prepared at 1000℃for 60 min were firstly determined.To improve density,the full replacement of lutetium for gadolinium to form Tb^(3+)-activated tellurium-lutetium-tungsten glasses with the composition of 64 TeO_(2)-20 WO_(3)-(16-y)Lu_(2)O_(3)-yTb_(2)O_(3)were designed for scintillation application.The concentration-dependent optical properties of Tb^(3+)-activated tellurium-lutetium-tungsten glasses were fully investigated by transmittance,excitation and emission spectra,together with the luminescence decay curves.The energy transfer mechanism was discussed according to Huang’s rule.The optimized 4 mol%Tb_(2)O_(3)activated tellurium-lutetium-tungsten glasses with the density of 6.49 g/cm^(3)and the lifetime of 0.551 ms are developing to be suitable for the potential detection of slow events in the future work.
