Poly（trimethyleneterephthalate）（PTT）/styrene-ethylene-buthylene-styrene（SEBS）composites were prepared by melt *** opticalmicroscopy was used to observe the spherulitic morphology and the crystalstructure of PTT and PTT/SEBS *** electron microscopy was used to determine the dispersion and the compatibility of fracture surfaces of PTT and *** curves of thermalgravimetric analysis illustrated that the thermo stability decreased with increasing SEBS *** calorimetry was used to investigate the crystallization behavior;and the result showed that the glass transition temperature of the compound increased with the SEBS *** Avramiequation described the isothermalcrystallization ***-strain curves for PTT and PTT/SEBS composites showed that the elongation at break was enhanced with increasing SEBS content.

Moving object detection including background subtraction and morphological processing is a critical research topic for video surveillance because of its high computational loading and power consumption. This paper proposes a hardware design to accelerate the computation of background subtraction with low power consumption. A real-time background subtraction method is designed with a frame-buffer scheme and function partition to improve throughput, and implemented using Verilog HDL on FPGA. The design parallelizes the computations of background update and subtraction with a seven-stage pipeline. A stripe-based morphological processing and accounting for the completion of detected objects is devised. Simulation results for videos of VGA resolutions on a low-end FPGA device show 368 fps throughput for only the real-time background subtraction module, and 51 fps for the whole system, including off-chip memory access. Real-time efficiency with low power consumption and low resource utilization is thus demonstrated.

Chromatin modification contributes to pluripotency maintenance in embryonic stem cells(ESCs).However,the related mechanisms remain ***,we show that Npac,a"reader"of histone H3 lysine 36 trimethylation(H3K36me3),is required to maintain mouse ESC(mESC)pluripotency since knockdown of Npac causes mESC *** of Npac in mouse embryonic fibroblasts(MEFs)inhibits reprogramming ***,our chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by sequencing(ChIP-seq)results of Npac reveal that Npac co-localizes with histone H3K36me3 in gene bodies of actively transcribed genes in ***,we find that Npac interacts with positive transcription elongation factor b(p-TEFb),Ser2-phosphorylated RNA PolⅡ(RNA PolⅡSer2P),and Ser5-phosphorylated RNA PolⅡ(RNA PolⅡSer5 P).Furthermore,depletion of Npac disrupts transcriptional elongation of the pluripotency genes Nanog and *** together,we propose that Npac is essential for the transcriptional elongation of pluripotency genes by recruiting p-TEFb and interacting with RNA PolⅡSer2P and Ser5P.

AIM: To report the clinical experiences in the application of clip-assisted endoscopic method for nasoenteric feeding in patients with gastroparesis and patients with gastroesophageal wounds, and to compare the efficacy of nasoenteric feeding in these two indications. METHODS: From April 2002 to January 2004,21 consecutive patients with gastroparesis or gastroesophageal wounds were enrolled and received nasoenteric feeding for nutritional support. A clip-assisted method was used to place the nasoenteric tubes. Outcomes in the two groups were compared with respect to the successful rate of enteral feeding, percentage of recommended energy intake (REI), and complication rates. RESULTS: The gastroparesis group included 13 patients with major burns (n = 7), trauma (n = 2), congestive heart failure (n = 2) and post-surgery gastric stasis syndrome (n = 2). The esophageogastric wound group included eight patients with tracheoesophageal fistula (n = 2) and wound leakage following gastric surgery (n = 6). Two study groups were similar in feeding successful rates (84.6% vs 75.0%). There were also no differences in the percentage of REI between groups (79.4% vs 78.6%). Additionally, no complications occurred in any of the study groups. CONCLUSION: Nasoenteric feeding is a useful method to provide nutritional support to most of the patients with gastroparesis who cannot tolerate nasogastric tube feeding and to the cases who need bypass feeding for esophageogastric wounds.

AIM： Endoscopic sphincterotomy （ES） is a well-established therapeutic modality for the removal of common bile duct （CBD） stones. Alter ES there are still around 10% of patients that experience recurrent CBD stones. The aim of this study is to investigate the composition of CBD stones before and alter ES and its clinical significance in Chinese ***： From January 1996 to December 2003, 735 patients with CBD stones received ES at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital and stone specimens from 266 patients were sent for analysis. Seventy-five patients had recurrent CBD stones and stone specimens from 44 patients were sent for analysis. The composition of the stones was analyzed by infrared （IR） spectrometry and they were classified as cholesterol or bilirubinate stones according to the predominant composition. Clinical data were ***： In the initial 266 stone samples, 217 （82%） were bilirubinate stones, 42 （16%） were cholesterol stones,3 were calcium carbonate stones, 4 were mixed cholesterol and bilirubinate stones. Patients with bilirubinate stones were significantly older than patients with cholesterol stones （66＋13 years vs 56＋17 years, P = 0.001）. In the 44 recurrent stone samples, 38 （86%） were bilirubinate stones, 3 （7%） were cholesterol stones, and 3 were mixed cholesterol and bilirubinate stones. In 27 patients, both initial and recurrent stone specimens can be obtained,23 patients had bilirubinate stones initially and 2 became cholesterol stones in the recurrent attack. AIM： Prior Helicobacterpylori （Hpylori infection has often been underestimated. These underestimations have misled physicians attempting to determine the significance between Hpyloriand certain gastrointestinal lesions such as intestinal metaplasia, atrophic gastritis, and gastric cancer. Our study endeavored to debit past Hppylorinfections accurately, easily, and rapidly with the newly developed irnmunoblot kit, Helico Blot 2.1. METHODS： Thirty-three patients, including 25 H pylori infected and 8 uninfected cases, were enrolled in our study. All patients received consecutive gastroendoscopic examinations and ^3C-urea breath test （UBT） tests at 6- or 12-mo intervals for up to 4 years. Serum samples were obtained from each patient at the same time. Intragastric H pylori infection was confirmed in accordance with the gold standard. Twenty-five H pylori-infected patients received triple therapies after initial bacterial confirmation, and were successful in eradicating their infections. Serially obtained sera were tested by means of Helico Blot 2.1. RESULTS： Current infection marker detected by Helico Blot 2.1 was unreliable for representing ongoing Hpylori infection. Only 35 and 37 ku antibodies of H pylorihad significant seroconversion rates 1 year after having been cured. The seroposiUve rates of 116 ku （cytotoxin-associated antigen [CagA]） and Helico Blot 2.1 were nearly 100% during 4-year follow-up period. Both CagA antigen and Helico blot 2.1 could serve as indicators of long-term H pylori infection. CONCLUSION： Helico Blot 2.1 can detect past H pylori infections for up to 4 years, and is the best method to date for detecting previous long-term H pylori infection. 2005 The WJG Press and Elsevier Inc. Abstract--- Because of rapid development in network technology, Internet usage has become widespread. It allows users with sensing devices to obtain medical data for healthcare, such as physiological signals, voice, and video streams from telemedicine systems, and to send the healthcare data to back-end database systems, creating a ubiquitous healthcare environment. However, this environment requires a widespread and suitable network. IPv6 （Internet protocol version 6） is the next-generation Internet protocol that will be the protocol of future networks; it improves many shortcomings of IPv4. In this paper, we propose an IPv6/IPv4 U-home-care test system and analyze the network＇s parameters though a series of tests by adjusting network parameters to find the optimal design for applications in the IPv6/IPv4 U-home-care service so as to assure good performance and high quality.
