Effects of Nitrogen Application Levels on Ammonia Volatilization and Nitrogen Utilization during Rice Growing Season

We conducted field trials of rice grown in sandy soil and clay soil to determine the effects of nitrogen application levels on the concentration of NH4＋-N in surface water, loss of ammonia through volatilization from paddy fields, rice production, nitrogen-use efficiency, and nitrogen content in the soil profile. The concentration of NH4＋-N in surface water and the amount of ammonia lost through volatilization increased with increasing nitrogen application level, and peaked at 1-3 d after nitrogen application. Less ammonia was lost via volatilization from clay soil than from sandy soil. The amounts of ammonia lost via volatilization after nitrogen application differed depending on the stage when it was applied, from the highest loss to the lowest： N application to promote tillering 〉 the first N topdressing to promote panicle initiation （applied at the last 4-leaf stage）〉 basal fertilizer 〉 the second N topdressing to promote panicle initiation （applied at the last 2-leaf stage）. The total loss of ammonia via volatilization from clay soil was 10.49-87.06 kg/hm2, equivalent to 10.92%-21.76% of the nitrogen applied. The total loss of ammonia via volatilization from sandy soil was 11.32-102.43 kg/hm2, equivalent to 11.32%-25.61 % of the nitrogen applied. The amount of ammonia lost via volatilization and the concentration of NH4＋-N in surface water peaked simultaneously after nitrogen application; both showed maxima at the tillering stage with the ratio between them ranging from 23.76% to 33.65%. With the increase in nitrogen application level, rice production and nitrogen accumulation in plants increased, but nitrogen-use efficiency decreased. Rice production and nitrogen accumulation in plants were slightly higher in clay soil than in sandy soil. In the soil, the nitrogen content was the lowest at a depth of 40-50 cm. Panhandle PCR strategy to amplify the upstream unknown sequence of the Pr1 gene of pythium guiyangense

Objective: Based on a partialsubtilisin-like protease, Pr1 genomic sequence of Pythium guiyangense which has been cloned before, Panhandle PCR strategy was used to amplify the upstream flanking sequence adjacent to the known sequence of the Pr1gene. Methods: The genomic DNA was firstly digested with BamHⅠ and then treated with calf intestinal alkaline phosphatase(CIAP). Next, a 5′ phosphorylated oligonucleotide was ligated to the 5′ ends of BamHⅠ-digested DNA. After denaturation, intrastrand annealing and polymerase extension, a pan with a handle was formed,and lastly the nested PCR was performed. Results: A 864 bp product was amplified,which was adjacent to the known sequence of Pr1 *** gene has been accessed by GenBank(Accession:JQ975036). Conclusion: Panhandle PCR is a quick and convenient approach for amplifying and identifying unknown partner genes,which facilitates cloning full-length Pr1 gene.

The Production of Organic-Inorganic Compound Film-Coated Urea and the Characteristics of Its Nutrient Release

The effect of different concentrations of natural macromolecular compound on the characteristics of nutrient release in the membrane materials of organic-inorganic compound film-coated urea was discussed, and the optimal concentrations for better nutrient release was proposed. The characteristics of nutrient release of film-coated urea were evaluated by soil column leaching experiment. Organic-inorganic compound film-coated urea showed good characteristics of nutrient release, which could be well simulated by Logistic curve. The two parameters in this curve, a and r, can be used to present nutrient release of film-coated urea, and followed the order of B 〉 C 〉 A and C 〈 B 〈 A, respectively, indicating that the release was stronger with the increasing concentration of natural macromolecular compound in the membrane, which implied better controllability of nutrient release. The concentration of 5% of natural macromolecular compound showed better characteristic of nutrient release and can be utilized as a membrane material combined with inorganic mineral powders to develop film-coated slow-release fertilizer.

为实现含相变的缠绕管换热器的优化设计,提出了一整套计算模型,对传统模型中的Gilli公式进行了改进,大幅提升了该模型的计算速度。基于提出的计算模型以及非支配排序遗传算法Ⅱ(non-dominated sorting genetic algorithmⅡ,NSGA-Ⅱ)利用Python语言编写了缠绕管换热器的多目标优化程序,以径向间距、轴向间距以及缠绕角作为设计变量,以总换热系数、管程及壳程压降作为目标函数对缠绕管换热器的几何结构进行了优化设计。通过实例验证,改进后的模型传热误差最大不超过3.6%,压降误差最大不超过8.5%,因此改进的计算模型具有较高的可信度。程序优化结果表明:相比初始结构,优化结构一总换热系数提高了7.1%,而壳侧压降降低了21.0%,管侧压降降低了0.7%;优化结构二总换热系数基本不变,壳侧压降降低了23.0%,管侧压降降低了27.0%。因此该优化程序可以有效优化缠绕管换热器的几何结构。

Advances in the study of Lynch syndrome in China

Lynch syndrome, also known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer, is an autosomal dominant genetic condition that has a high risk of colon cancer as well as other cancers due to inherited mutations in mismatch repair(MMR) genes. During the last decades, therehave been great advances in research on Chinese Lynch syndrome. This review mainly focuses on the genetic basis, clinicopathologic features, diagnosis, intervention,chemoprevention, and surveillance of Lynch syndrome in China. In addition to frequently altered MMR genes, such as MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, and MLH3,other MMR-associated genes, such as those encoding human exonuclease 1, transforming growth factor βreceptor 2, and alanine aminopeptidase, metastasisassociated protein 2, adenomatosis polyposis coli down-regulated 1, and hepatic and glial cell adhesion molecule have also been implicated in Chinese Lynch syndrome. Most Chinese researchers focused on the clinicopathologic features of Lynch syndrome, and it is noticeable that the most frequent extracolonic tumor in northeast China is lung cancer, which is different from other areas in China. The Chinese diagnostic criteria for Lynch syndrome have been established to identify gene mutation or methylation. With regard to chemoprevention, celecoxib may be effective to prevent polyps relapse in Lynch syndrome carriers. Additionally,a colonoscopy-based surveillance strategy for the prevention and early detection of neoplasms in Lynchsyndrome carriers has been proposed.

目的运用双向两样本孟德尔随机化的方法，探讨恶性肿瘤和骨质疏松之间的因果关系。方法从Finngen数据库获取20种恶性肿瘤(前列腺癌、淋巴和造血器官癌、膀胱癌、脑癌、乳腺癌、肺和支气管癌、宫颈癌、结肠癌、肾癌、喉癌、肝和肝内胆管癌、食管癌、卵巢癌、胰腺癌、直肠癌、皮肤癌、小肠癌、胃癌、睾丸癌、甲状腺癌)数据集，从GEFOS数据库获取全身骨密度(TB-BMD)数据集。运用逆方差加权法、加权中位数法和MR-Egger法等评估20种恶性肿瘤与TB-BMD的双向因果关系。采用Cochran Q检验、MR-Egger回归法和Leave-one-out法评价研究结果稳定性和可靠性。结果在乳腺癌、喉癌与TB-BMD的因果关系方面，观察到具有统计学意义的因果关系，其余18种恶性肿瘤与TB-BMD无显著因果关联。乳腺癌可能降低TB-BMD(β=-0.036,95%CI:-0.056～-0.015,P=0.001),喉癌可能增加TB-BMD(β=0.011,95%CI:0.002～0.021,P=0.022),结果具有统计学意义。加权中位数法和MR-Egger法与逆方差加权法关联方向一致。Cochran Q检验、MR-Egger回归和Leave-one-out法均提示本研究结果具有稳定性和可靠性。结论乳腺癌可能降低TB-BMD水平，喉癌可能增加TB-BMD水平。在临床实践中，乳腺癌患者重视骨密度筛查，及时干预骨质疏松。
