Rock physical characteristics of deep dolomite under complex geological conditions: A case study of 4th Member of Sinian Dengying Formation in the Sichuan Basin, China

The deep-ultra deep carbonate reservoir in China, commonly subjected to modification of multi-stage diagenesis, has extremely high heterogeneity. Conventional rock physics analysis cannot accurately identify the elastic responses of reservoir. Here, the rock physics properties of the dolomite from the 4th Member of the Sinian Dengying Formation are experimentally measured, and the change law of rock physics characteristics is investigated within the framework of the diagenetic processes by the analysis of the elastic and petrologic characteristics, pore structure, and sedimentary environments. The results show that the differentiated diagenesis results in different pore structure characteristics and microtexture characteristics of the rock. The microbial dolomite of the algal mound-grain beach facies is subjected to the contemporaneous microbial dolomitization and seepage-reflux dolomitization, penecontemporaneous selective dissolution, burial dolomitization, and hydrothermal dolomitization. The resultant crystalline dolomite is found with one main type of the dolomite crystal contact boundaries,and the dissolution pore is extensive development. The siliceous, muddy, and limy dolomite of the interbeach sea environment mainly experiences the weak capillary concentration dolomitization, intensive mechanical compaction-induced densification, and burial dolomitization. Such crystalline dolomite is observed with four types of contact boundaries, namely the dolomite contact, clay contact, quartz contact, and calcite contact boundaries, and porosity mostly attributed to residual primary inter-granular or crystalline pores. The samples with the same crystal boundary condition have consistent correlations between the compressional-and shear-wave velocities, and between the compressional-wave velocity and the velocity ratio. Polymer microspheres(PMs),such as polyacrylamide,have been widely applied for enhanced oil recovery(EOR),yet with environmental ***,we report a microfluid displacement technology containing a bio-based eco-friendly material,i.e.,calcium alginate(CaAlg)microspheres for *** dominant mechanisms responsible for EOR over Ca Alg fluid have been verified,including the microscopic oil displacement efficacy augmented by regulating capillary force(determined by the joint action of interfacial tension and wettability between different phases)and macroscopic sweep volume increment through profile control and mobility ratio *** comprehensive effectiveness can be further impacted when the CaAlg microsphere is embellished ulteriorly by using appropriate amount of sodium dodecyl sulfonate(SDS).The core flooding and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)tests demonstrate that CaAlg-SDS microsphere can balance the interphase property regulation(wettability alteration and IFT reduction)and rheology properties,enabling simultaneous profile control and oil *** introduction of SDS will have a negative impact on rheological properties,which is not favored for *** results show that the involvement of 4-m M SDS will provide the best behavior,with an EOR rate of 34.38%.This cost-effective and environmentally-friendly bio-microspherebased microfluidic displacement technology is expected to achieve“green”oil recovery in future oilfield exploitation.

Constructing the efficacious and applicable bifunctional electrocatalysts and establishing out the mechanisms of organic electro-oxidation by replacing anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER) are critical to the development of electrochemicallydriven technologies for efficient hydrogen production and avoid CO_(2. emission. Herein, the hetero-nanocrystals between monodispersed Pt(~ 2.nm) and Ni_(3)S_(2.(~ 9.6 nm) are constructed as active electrocatalysts through interfacial electronic modulation, which exhibit superior bi-functional activities for methanol selective oxidation and H_(2. generation. The experimental and theoretical studies reveal that the asymmetrical charge distribution at Pt–Ni_(3)S_(2. could be modulated by the electronic interaction at the interface of dual-monodispersed heterojunctions, which thus promote the adsorption/desorption of the chemical intermediates at the interface. As a result, the selective conversion from CH_(3)OH to formate is accomplished at very low potentials(1.45 V) to attain 100 m A cm^(-2. with high electronic utilization rate(~ 98%) and without CO_(2. emission. Meanwhile, the Pt–Ni_(3)S_(2. can simultaneously exhibit a broad potential window with outstanding stability and large current densities for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) at the cathode. Further, the excellent bi-functional performance is also indicated in the coupled methanol oxidation reaction(MOR)//HER reactor by only requiring a cell voltage of 1.60 V to achieve a current density of 50 m A cm^(-2. with good reusability.

Viable but non-culturable(VBNC)bacteria have been detected in source water and effluent of drinking water treatment processes,leading to significant underestimation of viable cell *** information exists on VBNC bacteria in tap water,particularly in public *** address this gap,a comprehensive nine-month study was conducted in a major city in south-eastern China,using culture-based and quantitative PCR with propidium monoazide(PMA)dye ***-five samples were collected from five representative public places(railway station,campus,hospital,shopping mall,and institution).The findings revealed that culturable bacteria represented only 0–17.51%of the viable 16S rRNA genes,suggesting that the majority of viable bacteria existed in an uncultured or VBNC ***,opportunistic pathogens such as Escherichia coli,Enterococcus faecalis,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Salmonella sp.,and Shigella *** primarily detected as VBNC cells,with concentrations ranging from 1.03×10^(0)to 3.01×10^(3),1.2.×10^(0)to 1.42.10^(2.,1.32.10^(0)to 8.82.10^(0),1.00×10^(0)to 6.71×10^(1),and 2.07×10^(0)to 1.93×10^(2.cell equivalent/100 mL,*** *** was observed in tap water after prolonged stagnation,indicating potential risks associated with bacterial *** and temporal factors accounted for 17.1%and 2..0%,respectively,of the variation in tap water community structure during the sampling period,as revealed by 16S rRNA amplicon *** study provides quantitative insights into the occurrence of VBNC bacteria in tap water and highlights the need for more sensitive monitoring methods and microbial control techniques to enhance tap water safety in public locations.

The permeability index is one of the important production indicators to monitor the operation of blast *** is crucial to grasp the trends of changes in the new permeability index in *** the complex vibration spectrum of the permeability index,a prediction model of the permeability index based on the VMD-PSO-BP(variational mode decomposition-particle swarm optimization-back propagation)method was ***,the key factors that affect the permeability index of blast furnace were studied from multiple ***,the permeability index was divided into multiple sub-modes based on the difference of frequency bands by the VMD algorithm,and a PSO-BP prediction model was established for each ***,the prediction results of each sub-mode were summed to obtain the final *** results show that the composite prediction accuracy by using the VMD algorithm is 3%higher than that of the traditional prediction method,which has better applicability.

Dye molecules often change colors(so-called “chromism”) according to the environment variation. However, they are rarely induced by a catalytic amount of cavity. Through encapsulation in the cavity of a porous coordination cage(PCC-2., Rhodamine B(1) is transformed from red quinonoid form(1q) into colorless lactone form(1l) in aprotic polar solutions. The μ4-OH groups in the cavity of PCC-2.are shown to stabilize the uncommon zwitterion intermediate(1z), followed by converting to 1l, thus accelerating the equilibrium. The chromism is catalyzed by 0.2. mol% of PCC-2. and the reaction rate is improved by 80,400times. 1@PCC-2.can be further fabricated to a sol-gel that exhibits ion recognition properties. The resulting encapsulation and stabilization of an unconventional intermediate by a catalytic amount of the coordination cage provides fundamental insights into molecular isomerization and has potential use in chemical sensing.

This study presents a new method for characterizing the thermal lattice deformation of a monochromator with high precision under service conditions and first reports the operando measurements of nanoscale thermal lattice deformation on a double-crystal monochromator at different incident *** nanoscale thermal lattice deformation of the monochromator first crystal was obtained by analyzing the intensity of the distorted DuMond *** diagrams of the 333 diffraction index,sensitive to lattice deformation,were obtained directly using a 2. detector and an analyzer crystal orthogonal to the *** increasing incident power and power density,the maximum height of the lattice deformation increased from 3.2.to 18.5 nm,and the deformation coefficient of the maximum height increased from 1.1 to 3.2.nm/*** maximum relative standard deviation was 4.2.,and the maximum standard deviation was 0.1 *** on the measured thermal deformations,the flux saturation phenomenon and critical point for the linear operation of the monochromator were predicted with increasing incident *** study provides a simple solution to the problem of the lower precision of synchrotron radiation monochromator characterizations compared to simulations.
